  1. Order 4217 shipped 27 July, arrived on 29th. Haven't installed yet as throttle has a sticky switch so might need to return it as it's still fairly new.
  2. Just ordered mine, they are up above #4200 now, someone is going to have a very busy lockdown.
  3. Thank you that has at least got the displays working just by copying the LUA file and working from there. After I realized that the setup was for the original hires screens (the 1200 pxl ones) and a little fiddling it all works. Not sure my PC will like the triple screen running though so I will do further messing to just use the middle screen. ... but at least it works.
  4. I have two of the 8 inch screens, both working on Win7-64 with no problems. The screens are placed below my middle monitor as per the original post. My screens look like this : I have copied the LUA file from the first post (I know it won't be accurate but it should give me an idea of the location), but I cannot see the MFD exports anywhere. My display setup looks like this : Any ideas what I am doing wrong? Can I force the MFDs to go to a particular screen in the LUA file? If so how?
  5. I think the X-52 daisy chains the throttle and joystick so only uses one USB, but I cannot remember which bit has the USB so this might be a problem if you only want to use the throttle. Someone with the unit will know which. The X-55 throttle and stick use separate USBs for each part.
  6. On a semi-related issue, is there a simple way to copy common commands from one plane to the next without messing too much. I always thought that it was a shame that on each plane I need to reassign each task again and again just because there doesn't appear to be a 'DEFAULT' profile that all planes use.
  7. I'm really hoping they get some of this equipment onto the high street or even better allow you to hire a unit for a couple of weeks to see how it works for you. I don't mind paying a bit to try one but £400+ on the chance I will get on with it is a little concerning.
  8. I would hold off until you actually need the additional RAM, chances are when you finally can see a need for it Intel will release a new chip that is actually worth upgrading your PC for, then you just do the lot.
  9. I'm waiting for this too, ready to order.
  10. OK so that one looks good. What other files did you need to mess with as well as the one in MonitorSetup to get it looking like that?
  11. I think the big difference is the fact that the VIVE has a camera on the front of it, this should allow you to 'see through' your VR game and see your controls, pizza and beer when flying. I assume it'll mean that you can mark areas within your view sphere where the VR shows either clear or a ghost image over the real world.
  12. Update ... After doing some further searching I found this thread in the A-10C area: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815 This should really have more prominence or be in a more central location but following the first bit DON'T USE NOTEPAD, USE NOTEPAD++ INSTEAD I went back and redid my TEST.LUA file from scratch, and fixed the aspect ratio number (I think). And I now have this: So it looks like I need to continue reading that thread and take a look at what appears to now be an FOV/ZOOM problem, but it's getting there.
  13. All screens 1920 X 1080. Here is the LUA file from the MonitorSetup directory:
  14. New hear so please be gentle but: I've just installed DCS 1.5 and was playing OK with the client stretched across the three monitors, but that gave a distorted view. So started messing with the options and LUA files to create proper surround and I got the following: If I click 'Fly' everything appears to be running correctly in the background and the vertical lines flash different colours. I know I may be doing something stupid but not sure what. Any ideas? Setup is: i5-2500k @4.3Ghz, 8GB RAM 980 GTX Win7-64it
