  1. 2382091478Hello all. I am wondering if anyone is already working on, or up to the challenge, of doing a skin for the Hornet from this squadron. Specifically the special Bengal livery they did on one of their D model birds. I may still have this model decal set laying around if it helps any. Below is a link to a review of that decal kit that shows all the individual markings.

  2. FWIW this issue is a very old issue that ED has yet to address. I have been dealing with it for a couple of years now. ED used to have an "imposters" option that would help with scaling but that was removed with 1.5 IIRC. Now that 4K displays are becoming more common I hope we can get some resolution to the problem. It is a really tough to decide between a beautiful sim and one that you can actually spot targets.

  3. Hello all. I have recently started to have issues with controlling the TDC in the TPOD and the DMT. No matter which hat I assign the controls to on my TM Warthog, the TDC kinda jitters around the HUD and locks on to something way off in the distance. It resets just fine but it is otherwise unusable. Has anyone else experienced this issue?

  4. Hello all. As many of you know playing DCS in 4K is absolutely stunning, but the model spotting issues are becoming tiring. So I have been looking at picking up a 1080P monitor to see just how different it is.

So here is my question. Do any of the gaming monitor specific technologies such as GSync, High Refresh Rate, etc have any benefit or bearing on DCS gameplay? I don’t mind investing in tech if the rewards are worth it. So is there a consensus on what is best for DCS? I thought about going to my local Best Buy and picking up a cheap monitor but wanted to defer to the expertise and experience found here.

    Thanks folks!

  5. Hello all. What I am about to purpose could already be there but I have been unable to find the information I am looking for.

My purposal is to add a version number, or the latest edition updated date, to the first page of the file. Personally I save files like this to multiple locations and it would be nice to be able to quickly identify which is the most current version.

I hope this request make sense. Thanks Razbam for your great product and the continued efforts. :pilotfly:

  6. One of the Quick Start missions that shipped with the Harrier, the one that mentions that it is the start up tutorial for the Hornet, comes with the targeting pod mounted on the right wing by default. I still have the .miz file if anyone needs it.

  7. Overcorrection of throttle is an issue. You really need small, smooth corrections when trying to maintain the hover. Also get above 50feet to get out of the ground effect.

This is spot on. Turbine lag is a very real thing on these older engines. Harriet in particular. If you look on the ENG page there is a section of approximate time to ramp up to a certain engine RPM percentage. Personally I have been watching the RPM gauge like a hawk when in any other nozzle position than 0 degrees.

  8. I will echo the sentiments of everyone here and also say thank you. Your efforts brought countless hours of enjoyment to many of us out here. Lastly, again as others have said, go have fun. Get back in the Flanker and do what you like. After all, that's what everyone is here for.

Side Note- With the closing of OC, I will be taking the TS server offline. I will leave it up and running until 12/15/17 so that those that currently use it can find new homes. I hope my little contribution to OC has helped.
