  1. Thanks everyone for your suggestions. It was indeed the game/flight settings that was causing the problem. cheers!
  2. i did not know there was such an option but will check. Regardless, you would have though lifting into a hover would over ride wheel chocks?
  3. The engine RPM is already set when you start in the 'instant action' scenario. I have tried adjusting the RPm just in case but again no change. What else might you suggest?
  4. So installed the Hind and mapped the axis controls as usual. Sticks all move and the collective goes up and down in the right direction, even the swashplate on the hub can be seen moving on the outside views, BUT the thing will just not lift off or move at all? A google search shows a few other people had this problem and the one who has replied to me cannot remember how he fixed it. Any suggestions?
  5. ah that might be the issue as i am oon version 2.5.5.4171
  6. I knew it was a stupid question, so thank for your understanding and prompt replies! cheers STOP PRESS, more stupidity to follow: It does not appear in my module manager..any other suggestions?
  7. Can i ask what might be a stupid question? i pre purchased super carrier a while ago and see it is released, but no where in my DCs game does it show up, not in the icon menu or the mission editor. the game did not update on start up either...any suggestions please?
  8. Thanks everyone for your advice. The install on D drive went well and game updated and playing wonderfully. Larger SSd was not an option as already delivered and used and immediate upgrade not possible to funds, but once they become available then I will upgrade larger ssd. Thanks again.
  9. Thanks Goa, will give that a try.
  10. Hi, I bought a new high spec machine that includes 256 solid state drive [C:] and a one terabyte Hard drive.[D:] I logged to the DCS site, and downloaded the latest 2.5 no problem, but when it launched and tried to update my modules it said not enough room on C: drive. So, I dragged the installation over to the D: hard drive and the module update appeared to download and the game auto launched. Problem is that at the GUI opening screen it shows the 17 modules available again [in red on my module manager] and clicking that just starts the whole process over and over without actual installing. I am not very techy and never hard a solid state drive but that aside any obvious mistakes I have made in the install? Anyadvice appreciated.
  11. I had the same problem and the guys here talked me through it. Make sure your master arm is on. The look down to the left and you will see two new red covered master switches, arm them both. Just above that is the power panel the small left switch needs to be on and you will see numbers appear in the read out. Then at pilot eye level you have a drop down gun sight, which you click on and should see a lit reticule projected on it. If still no luck make sure you are actually armed by telling the ground crew to arm your aircraft with cannon and missiles. Finally clear and remap your fire button in controls and like me you should be good to go!
  12. Thanks for your help, all working now cheers!
  13. thanks guys, will double check all those things! cheers!
