  1. @Mirknir on the bright side, you only have to worry for the Caucasus version... so far... right? :]
  2. Why not charge extra $ for Steam Early Access? I would gladly pay an extra $5 or $10 to be able to play 2.0 and NTTR now on Steam. And I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one. ED: "Hey, you can buy <Insert Module> Open Alpha on our store for the regular price of $49.99. But you can also purchase it on Steam if you want for an small extra cost of $5. When it's released, the price will return for its original value." I think it's about time for ED to review their policy on Steam Early Access of their products. Open a poll, talk to your customers. The extra cost would make everyone happy, right? ED wouldn't be losing money and Steam users wouldn't have to wait a year or so until the release of the module. Win-win situation, am I rite?
  3. NTTR now. F-5E later.
  4. well, I'm a TrackIR user and either I didn't notice the view point change or it didn't change at all. since I'm using Steam, when I launch the game it asks if I want a VR or non-VR. when I first launched the game after the update and the TrackIR wasn't working, first thing I did was to check the options menu, and the VR option was checked, then I unchecked it... that wasn't related to the TrackIR problem - had to use the workaround I found here in the forums - but it might have influenced the in game viewpoint. like I said, either that or I didn't notice at all.
  5. to me it looks as a more natural view/head position for VR users
  6. First, can't wait to be able to purchase the NTTR on Steam, along with the two Red Flag campaigns: for the F-15C and the A-10C. as for upcoming modules: (in order of wants, even if it hasn't been announced yet or will never be) F/A-18 + Hormuz F-16C F-22 F-14 and modules I intend to buy at some point or when on sale: F-5E Tucano
  7. I remember back in 1.2 the performance was awful. Then 1.5 first beta was released and was praised for its improved performance. My bet is on the terrain engine for Caucasus and poor VGA drivers optimizations. The first we can only hope it'll be addressed with the release of 2.5.
  8. +1 it's kinda hard for me to imagine such a small company as ED working on three fronts: 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5. then, correct if I'm wrong: 1.5 = 2.0, except for the terrain engine. that's why 2.0 only runs with Nevada so far and they can't simply port Caucasus to 2.0. so when they work on under-the-hood features like sounds on 1.5, it also works for 2.0, correct? meanwhile, 2.0 serves as test bed for Nevada and other theaters and new aircrafts. what bugs me is the 2.5... when the Caucasus T5 (or T4? I'm lost now) "conversion" is complete and also the Nevada, both ready for stable release, they'll simply skip the 2.0 and call it 2.5? instead of 2.0 final or something? which are basically the same thing but they decided to call 2.5 to avoid some kind of confusion? I play DCS World on Steam, so I'm currently using the last stable release of 1.5.3. I simply can't, can't wait to put my hands on the NTTR _on Steam_, along with the Red Flag campaigns for both the F-15C and the A-10C. and I say again: can't wait! I'm unsure about purchasing some upcoming modules like the F-5E and the Mirage 2000 because I'm more interested on other aircrafts such as the F/A-18, the F-14 and the Tucano. but the NTTR will be a day-0 purchase for me.
  9. The mission I'm receiving and getting stuck is the one you have to destroy the enemy command center. where is this repair tool? I'm running DCS on Steam, version 1.5.3.something
  10. I tried again these missions and they still seem to be broken. Can anyone else confirm if these or any other missions from FC3 are still broken?
  11. so basically every campaign is broken in 1.5.2? didn't know the triggers were broken.
  12. I give up. I've been trying to play this campaign, restarting a lot, and it's broken. After the first mission, I get some missions out of order. Don't know if that's by design or not. Sometimes the second mission is to destroy the command center/post whatever, and sometimes the second mission is to destroy three T-72 at the abandoned air field. In both cases I'm not getting win states after destroying my targets and I can't get past these missions. I can record videos to show or whatever needed.
  13. +1 Not only easier but cheaper than paying in USD for me.
  14. I want that bundle on Steam! Come on, ED! Show some love for Steam users!
  15. 1080p@60fps >> 2160p@30fps just sayin' I'm also having some massive fps drops both on cockpit and external (specially on external) even with DOF off, terrain med, flat shadows on, shadows low, and so on. Feels like something broke since the release of 1.5 beta.

    DCS Tucano

Awesome news! I'll be throwing my money on both as soon as they're available (on Steam if possible). Thanks for the info, Prowler!
  17. wow have you finished the hornet yet? :D what about now? :D (it is my most anticipated aircraft) and now? :music_whistling:
  18. well, I also started the discussion on the DCS World Steam Community: http://steamcommunity.com/app/223750/discussions/0/458607699619821603/ Thanks!
  19. I know it's kinda ask too much, but can we have some bundles for sale on Steam? Like that A-10C with Black Shark 2 and two campaigns. Or the A-10C with NTTR when it's released on Steam, as a special promotion, time limited, etc. Why not on E-Shop, you might ask. Because of my regional currency. On Steam I can pay my regional equivalent. To have an idea, that A-10C + BS2 bundle costing 50 USD, would be the same to purchase the modules separately... yeah. Well, I'm pretty sure there are others on the same boat as me, so would be nice :) Thanks in advance!
  20. Mig-21 eats the F-4 PII alive. In fact, any aircraft can eat the F-4 alive. Wanna cool aircraft? Like really cool? F-14 TOMCAT. They should focus development on that! Anything else is secondary :pilotfly:
  21. EVA GTX 770. I'm getting around 100fps with everything on max.
  22. Unnoticeable. My FPS more than doubled with the 1.5, as for everyone. I'm getting like 95fps without and 85fps with ReShade. It's a matter of trying on your own system. You can turn it on and off using the Num Lock key to compare the FPS.
  23. Wedge's Visions is a ReShade + MasterEffect custom preset for DCS World 1.5. It's an advanced post-processing injector like SweetFX and ENB. Check out this gallery for screenshots comparison: http://imgur.com/a/bI6DZ (Unfortunately imgur removed the option to navigate the images using the arrow keys.) To install, simply copy the files included to your DCS World game directory (i.e. steam\steamapps\common\dcsworld\bin). You can use the Num Lock key to turn the effects on and off. *IMPORTANT* Before installing this pack, remove any other injectors you have installed, like SweetFX or ENB, otherwise things will break. ALWAYS BACKUP YOUR FILES. Comments and critiques are welcome! For more information, check out the README.txt and the \_Docs directory. Download @ MediaFire (version 1.0 - 10/2/2015) Enjoyed the preset? Feel free to buy me a cup of coffee!
  24. It's (a)live! Downloading! 2.5gb for me, on Steam. Thank you ED for your hard work!
