  1. Well, to stay in your picture, at least my neighbor demonstrated that it is possible to build a "great" house using concrete. Of course, all flight sims are different but they share some common problems and challenges. The X-plane result shows that this genre can indeed profit from Vulkan. I find that encouraging - nothing more nothing less :)
  2. Preliminary Vulkan "Speed Testing" results in X-plane [source FB]. Could be useful to get a rough(!) idea about the expected performance increase in DCS.
  3. Erste Vulkan "Speed Testing" Resultate in X-plane. Quelle FB.
  5. Yup, but should be fixed now in the very latest dev Moose.lua (as of 60 seconds ago ;)).
  6. Your error messages say version of the recovery tanker is 1.0.5, while the current version is 1.0.9. You get errors because you are using a Moose.lua version which does not include the functions you are using.
  8. Big thanks to the donor from here as well  (Needless to say (hopefully) that I would not have suggested to donate in my earlier post, if I had not already donated a fair amount myself. As a community we are powerful enough to support this great project, even if ED does fully realize its potential.)
  9. Well, that's the latest release version, yes. But it's ancient. The good stuff is in the development version :) https://github.com/FlightControl-Master/MOOSE_INCLUDE/tree/develop/Moose_Include_Static Try the example mission https://github.com/FlightControl-Master/MOOSE_MISSIONS/tree/develop/OPS%20-%20Airboss/Caucasus/BOS-100%20-%20Stennis%20Hornet%20and%20Tomcat
  10. Have you guys ever considered to donate a few bugs to support f4l0's hard work so he does not have to buy the modules out of his own pocket all the time? He surely deserves it :) Of course, ED et al. could and should provide the modules for free to him. But obviously this is not happening. So we as a community have to stand in.
  11. If you take that line out and the script works, your Moose.lua is too old as this feature was add later.
  12. Yeah, a C130 is indeed too big for Creech. Therefore, DCS will despawn it without any event fired the moment it lands and it won't be possible to spawn it at Creech. Hence, in this case, the option to commute is unfortunately not working. I'd suggest to take it out. If you really want send a C130 to Creech, you can use c130_1:RespawnAfterLanding() As to why a C130 is too big for Creech, that's something the DCS devs need to answer ;)
  13. When the DCS weather gets an overhaul, it would be nice to add more scripting API functions to extract current weather information. Currently, it is "only" possible to get information on wind, temperature and pressure. For example, to build a meaningful ATIS, information on cloud coverage, fog, dust, visibility, rain, thunderstorm, etc and maybe the active runway would be great. Thanks :) PS: Here is an ATIS implementation example. But most information is strictly only valid for static weather as it hast to be extracted from the env.mission variable.
  16. Did we? We had a system to (dis-)credit a person for a specific post but not a post itself. I think it would be useful to rate good/bad posts independent of who actually posted. There are simply too many to read them all. If I could read though the best posts of a day/week/month I would save a lot of time and probably not miss a lot of good info (or read a lot of rubbish).
  17. Could simply be that the valid airports don't have any parking spots specifically for helos? Many airports actually have not.
