  1. Tried landing the Harrier on the helipads of the FFG-7CL Oliver Hazard Perry and CG-60 Normandy, both caused DCS to crash as soon as I touched down on the deck. Log files included. Steps to reproduce: Create Mission with Oliver Hazard Perry and/or Normandy Fly Harrier to either ship Attempt vertical landing on ship's helipad If you need me to take a video or anything else, please let me know. Thanks! dcs.log-20171214-181633.zip dcs.log-20171214-182337.zip Harrier_Learning.miz
  2. The problem seems to have fixed itself, and I can now purchase the campaign. I'm not sure what happened. Thanks anyway.
  3. Hi, When I go to the page for the F-5E Aggressors BFM Campaign, instead of the normal "buy" button it says "Requires another product". I am logged in to the site, and when I go to both the NTTR and F-5E it says that I own both (which I do, obviously). Is there something else I'm missing that this campaign requires? Thanks
  4. Hi Last night I tried to start DCS 2.0 for the first time since the last update, and ran into an issue. Launch seems to proceed normally until a few seconds into the splash screen when it crashes to desktop. This happens every time. This happens for both 1.5 and 2.0. What I've tried, to no avail: DCS_Updater repair Reinstall/Repair Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 Confirm DirectX12 installation/compatibility Full DCS 2.0 reinstall Here are my system specs: Operating System: Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (10.0, Build 10586) Processor: Intel® Core i7-6700K CPU @ 4.
  5. Hello, I already heard that the website issue was being worked on, but the module manager in 2.0 seems to be having a problem as well. I pre-purchased the NTTR at the earliest possible time, so the red flag campaign that was just released should be available - when I open up the module manager, it displays an error message stating that "an error occurred while receiving data" (fig. 2). Once I close that, the Red Flag mission still says "buy" rather than "install" (fig. 3) and the "buy" button takes me to the web page, which I was told was a known issue (fig. 1). Thanks, -Moose
  6. Does that go for everyone who owns it through NTTR pre-purchase as well? Module manager still shows "buy" rather than "install", as well as an error receiving data when the module manager first opens. I can submit a bug report if need be, but if people are already on it then there's no need.
  7. C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta Shift + Rclick on "Bin" folder click "Open command window here" Type "DCS_Updater.exe update" If you leave the command window open, you can just hit the up arrow key when the updater fails and then enter to run it again. I had to run it 3 times in a row, but then it updated all the way. Also, this won't start the game, it will ONLY run the updater. Edit: For some, you might have to select/highlight the bin folder before you shift+Rclick. When the command window opens, it should say "C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenB
  8. Hello, I'm looking for some input, hopefully from either real military pilots or knowledgable enthusiasts. One of my interests when it comes to military simulation is the technical side of things, from systems to communications, etc. In regards to comms, I found this video and had some specific questions. If someone wanted to transcribe the whole thing and then translate, that would be great, but I can ask specific questions. (I'll consolodate knowledge by editing the post and putting information in GREEN as people answer questions.) 1. What role is Chalice in this scenario? I assume
  9. I'm in! Currently I play Arma 3 with Tactical Gaming, but a few of us over there are locked-and-loaded to leave and join a DCS group when the F-14 and/or F/A-18 come out... Also, as far as liveries and names and such go, I'm also all-for the mentality of making our own name.
  10. As a video game sound design student, that's exactly the type of work I'm interested in doing for my career. There are already plenty of DSP units that can calculate things like Doppler effect, occlusion, etc. We also know how to calculate sound travelling through air at different pressures, and we also know how to simulate the effects of noise masking on different sounds, and how to tailor that to a game/sim environment. It would be awesome to have the opportunity to work on a project like this (under the guide of an experienced sound designer, of course) *coughs in Leatherneck's direction
  11. +1 from me. As an audio professional, I'd love to utilize my listening space to its full potential when playing DCS.
