  1. I've never seen it drop below 5 when in auto, even when purposefully going into a dive and trying to get as much speed as possible.
  2. I'm no expert, but the sabre is faster in a dive. The mig will be harder to handle at near mach. I THINK that the mig is better at climbing. The mig doesn't have quite as fancy of a gunsight. The mig has bigger ammunition (the cannon). Other than that they seem quite similar. When in fights they feel very well matched in my opinion. I love the mig and if you like the sabre I would recommend getting it for a ONLY slightly different experience.
  3. We are currently hosting Teamspeak at: dow.hopto.org Feel free to join us!
  4. Cool I'm in! I'll send you the email when I get to work! Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  5. At DoW we would love to see more red in teamspeak. Please feel free to jump in anytime on either side! I haven't noticed any framerate drop on my Mustang but I'm not sure if that is specific to me or if there was a fix for it. Try it out again if you have the time.
  6. I guess I should record a video or two. I don't have any special tricks, really.
  7. Personally, I don't find it harder to use than the 109 or the 190. I can stay on the tail of both of the German opponents and they can stay on mine. I'm not a boat captain or mustang pilot in real life though.
  8. What do you have a problem with, specifically?
  9. We have a few missions that start at dusk or dawn but none that go through the night. If you see this again can you check the briefing for the mission name and let us know? This shouldn't happen ever!
  10. I've been modifying some WWII missions for Korea era. Are you interested in pure PvP dogfight or objective based missions? I'd like to get a consensus so I know how to style the missions.
  11. Tapping flap down will make it go all the way down for me, but if I hold it down it will stop when I release. Just fyi in case it helps anyone. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  12. Try now Tiger. Also, for Teamspeak you can change your IP to dow-dcs.duckdns.org to avoid issues when the IP changes.
  13. I did the test and it seemed to be stable but I only had a few hours to let it run. I'll test it again soon.
  14. I will do this test tonight. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  15. Tomorrow (Saturday, 6pm to 12pm EST) We will be doing a Luftwaffe fly out on the DoW server. This doesn't mean you can't fly for Allies, but the focus is going to be to get some seat time in the Axis units. Come Join the fun! http://webfortress.com/dogsofwar/forum/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=529&sid=5525b7a903d3f4657fef2c3e5046696e
  16. Fogging is a simple change that adds a ton of immersion. Sent from my XT1585 using Tapatalk
  17. It should be back up now. PM me about the other issue you mentioned.
  18. I believe this is still an issue or another issue has popped up that is closely related. My server will be up for many hours then it will drop off the list. I can't connect to it directly either. When I go to close out DCS it will crash. I can then restart the server and it will work fine for a few more hours or minutes (it seems random). It doesn't seem to generate a crash log but I do have the normal log file if that is helpful.
  19. I'm not sure that you should worry about that. The manual specifically says that leaving the rads open on the ground is proper procedure. Only switch them to auto right before takeoff. "operating. Maintain both flap doors fully OPEN while running the engine on the ground (flap doors will be set to Automatic for takeoff)." Page 124 of the Eagle Dynamics manual.
  20. Thanks DieHard. I'm always happy to see you around. As far as cross team TS goes I would suggest that if we are in Lobby go right ahead and just make your situation known. Also, if you jump into our channel (Lobby or Allies) and ask to see if anyone wants to join Axis you will probably get a few takers, depending on who's on. I know I could use more practice with the 109!
  21. I believe this is due to a weather change during taxi, but I'm not sure. I was able to bandaid the issue by turning off dynamic weather, but that was just a hunch. I didn't see anyone else posting this so I thought I might have found something new (a bug?). Here is a video of it in action. Notice the first two take off just fine, but then the 2nd two decide not to use the runway. This was only happening to 1 airplane so I figured it was a glitch and I deleted the group, then put a new group down. That's when it started to happen to two of them instead of just one.
  22. Here's the video, 'Ill Post it over there too. Sorry it's quiet, but people are sleeping in my house right now. It should be pretty self explanatory though. Keep an eye on the elevator position while I do my doughnuts. Before 1.5 the plane was nearly uncontrolable when in caster wheel mode (unless you were ready for it). Now it just seems to drag that poor wheel right across the pavement. [ame= ] [/ame]
