I think you are mixing up rear-aspect missiles with off-boresight capabilities of missiles. First defines if the missile can track a target it is attacking from side or front (like AIM-9L or R-73, or MAgic II can). Second defines if the missile can launch at the target that is off attacking planes' line of flight (like AIM-9X or R-73 can, but AIL-9L or Magic II can't).

Well... the overwhelming majority of the current Russian assets are late Cold war stuff, and BLUFOR majority are much newer planes. Should a real confrontation occur, the mismatch wouldn't be any worse than in game.

I fell in love with airplanes when I was nine. Looking back, it was a combination of getting my first model kit (a Starfighter), my father taking me to watch Top Gun, and ex-Yugoslavia publicly presenting their new MiG-29's. It all happened in the spring of 1988. Still think of MiG-29 9.12 as the most beautiful fighter design ever, and it would be a first-day purchase for me. It may be obsolescent against Fox-3 shooters, but on a Cold war servers, or on servers with some limited weaponry, it would certainly be popular, and capable plane.

So, were the F1CE compatible with Super 530F? Or only with the old 530?

I've asked Tom Cooper, author of the "Iraqi Mirages" https://g.co/kgs/hS7j2v about the radar on Mirage F1, and his answer is: Mirage F.1-radar.... The Iraqis were using the Cyrano-IVQ, which was much better than the radar of the MiG-21, and even that of the MiG-23MF, but not as good as that of the MiG-23ML. Later versions, like IVQ-M (Mirage F.1EQ-5/6), had a MTI and were matching the radar of the MiG-23ML. AFAIK, the F.1CE is 'F.1C brought to F.1EQ-5/6 standard' (like the F.1CT).

What would F1's radar be comparable in DCS? Between F-5 and Mig-21 on one side and Mig-29 and M2000 on the other? (Talking about the F1C)

Wikipedia states Spain as "former operator" of Matra Super 530 (presumably F version). Were those missiles used on Mirage F1?

Hello! My current setup: i5-7500, non OC Radeon R9 380 4GB 16GB DDR4, 2400 MHz 1980*1080 screen I'm not a FPS whore, but would like to keep it around 30. It stays there apart from low level situations when there is a significant drop. What should I upgrade? GFX card seems the prime suspect, but what would be the best value option in my situation? Thx for the answers!

My game (1.5.2, steam release version) keeps crashing after joining the multiplayer game. I join, it loads some kind of map, screen goes sky-blue and stop. When I press any button, Windows notify me that the ganme has stopped responding. Specs: Win10 home 650W PSU (new) i5-750 @ 2,67GHz 8GB DDR3 R9-380 4GB DDR5 120+480GB SSD + 640GB HDD Attached logs are.7z file, not .zip Logs.zip Any thoughts? I tried repairing the instalation via steam, no avail. Thanks.
