  1. I believe you can achieve what you asked for with editing snapviews. Snapview 5 is the default position you start in. Press Right Alt + Numpad 5 (Uses snapview 5), manipulate the view to your liking and then press Right Alt + Numpad 0 (Saves the current view to the last used snapview, in this case 5, i.e. default view). Edit: It's normal that you have to move the zoom-axis a bit in order for the game to correct the amount zoom. When the mission starts the game doesn't know what value your zoom-axis is at and chooses a default value. Once you move the zoom axis, the value gets updated and your view is corrected.
3. This tool simply creates the zones. Now you have to create triggers to do what you want and reference the zone. There's a dedicated subforum for mission building, you might want to post your question there from now on. [Forum » Missions and Campaigns » Mission Builders' Corner]
  4. You can adjust all those things in the labels.lua under
  5. Nice, but it's only fixed for the flaps. All the other switches still have that problem, maybe that fix can be applied to them as well. Attached a track where I'm using different 3 position switches on the warthog throttle to control different 3 position switches in the cockpit and they still desync. 3WaySwitchIssuev2.trk
  6. The days of resorting back to slewing with the keyboard out of frustration are finally over ;) I just got the analog thumbstick, it was packaged incredibly well and arrived without a scratch. Installation was straight forward with the manual from the website and I really appreciate all those little tidbits of advise and caution in there. In my opinion this is a must-buy for everyone who has grown to hate the original slew control on the warthog.
  7. Hornet shows magnetic heading by default, you can switch to true north via HSI->DATA->A/C->MAGN HDG F10 map, AWACS calls and editor are all referencing true north.
  8. Yeah, it's just confusing at the moment. Everything should use the same reference. AWACS, FC3, F10 Map and Editor use true north if I remember correctly. As far as I know, magnetic headings are used in real life aviation. (Please correct me if I'm wrong) Maybe ED could add an action (or an option) where we can switch between true and magnetic north as reference, just like we can switch between coordinate units with LALT + Y (or units like imperial and metric in the options menu).
  9. The editor uses true north as well, maybe you can change that, no idea. Meanwhile, either you keep the magnetic declination in mind while building your mission and compensate for that or you switch the hornets heading reference to true north via HSI->DATA->A/C->HDG MAG
  10. Is there a way to reduce the time from mission start to depature? I'm sitting idle for almost 20 minutes every mission, waiting for CAP to get rolling. Accelerating time really doesn't do anything for me past 2x, with this many units on the map a single core can only do so much :P
  11. There you go. I'm always switching AUTO to FULL and back to AUTO. Slowly at first, then a bit quicker and it desynchronizes. 3WaySwitchIssue.trk
  12. Sadly, there's no way to set the AB range and keep the full range and linearity of the axis. In real life, aircrafts don't have the same AB range either, so for some modules the warthog detent works fine and for others not so much. You'll have to adjust the axis for now. Hopefully, in the future we will get a particular feature from a certain 90s sim ;) I've set my throttles to slider and added a curvature of -5, although I've cut away at the detent to give me a push-through rather than a lift-over detent, so you'll probably have to tweak those settings.
  13. If you bind it like this, you can't go from full to half, without having to go to auto first. For proper 3 position switch you need to bind Up to AUTO/HALF and Down to FULL/HALF. The issue is, that there appears to be limit to how fast you can toggle from AUTO to FULL and from FULL to AUTO. To me it looks like DCS doesn't recognize the change in states of the switch while the animation for the cockpit switch is running. Of course, this is just what I can see and the real issue could be something totally different.
  14. No idea, I'm just an armchair pilot. I've just read in another thread, that it is supposed to be slow. Just hold the aircraft where you want it to go and while you trim, slowly release pressure on your stick. Takes some practice to get it just right.
  15. When it's time to deploy flaps in the pattern, I just flick the switch all the way down. I mean, why would I want to do it slowly? I rather get my hand back on the throttle as quick as possible :) Other aircraft don't seem to have this issue, that's why I opened this thread.
  16. The trim is VERY slow compared to other aircraft. This way you can precisely trim the aircraft for an approach for example and be hands off. Only thing I noticed, if you hold the trim for more than ~45sec, it doesn't trim any further until you release the trim and hold it again. But if you need to trim it that much you probably have much bigger problems ;) To trim a full deflection you'd have to hold the trim and "rehold", due to the issue mentioned before, for ~2min. Sadly, as far as I can tell none of the HOTAS buttons and switches are animated at the moment.
  17. I've bound the flaps switch to the flaps switch on my warthog throttle and when I move it too fast, it results in the cockpit switch to become desynchronized. Tested with multiple 3 position switches on the throttle and 3 position bindings for the hornet.
  18. From the NATOPS: https://publicintelligence.net/u-s-navy-f-18-natops-flight-manuals/
  19. The lights inside the cockpit are mentioned in the changelog. You have to turn on rain droplets in the settings, but beware they're not working correctly right now.
  20. I like it, clean and simple website. Should I place an order on the website as well or is the PM enough?

  22. Only way I can think of is you replay the track in non-VR and take the screenshot. But if you're flying the viggen you might be out of luck, unless Heatblur already converted the Viggen to the random number generator ED provides.
