  1. I agree that in a lot of Flight Sims it is best to turn off HT.
  2. It's smooth as glass because it's not like a 45 fps cap like you get with some programs. Some of the frames you are getting are being filled in instead. Take a look at this YouTube clip (below).
  3. That's strange, it runs smooth as butter for me and like I already mentioned you are not capping it at 30 fps because frames are being filled in. You should try 90Hz with motion vector because that's what mine is set to. I haven't tried motionvector with 60Hz because it's really smooth at 90Hz without stuttering or ghosting. Edit: I just looked at you specs and you have a better rig then me too. I only have a SkyLake 6700k overclocked to 4.5 Ghz, but I do have a Geforce 2080ti like you.
  4. Just do it so it looks like this (below). I also use Notepad++ to edit it with because it's much easier. Here's the link for Notepad++ if you don't have it. https://notepad-plus-plus.org/downloads/ "driver_Holographic_Experimental" : { // Motion reprojection doubles framerate through motion vector extrapolation // motionvector = force application to always run at half framerate with motion vector reprojection // auto = automatically use motion reprojection when the application can not maintain native framerate "motionReprojectionMode" : "motionvector",
  5. I use motion vector because switching it to auto leads to horrible stuttering and ghosting when looking out to the left and right of the cockpit. Having motionvector works great with no stuttering or ghosting when looking out to the left and right. When you use motion vector you are still getting 90fps , because what motion vector does is fill in the frames in between. So you might think you are getting only 45 fps when in fact you are getting 90 fps because one frame is filled in. Motionvector isn't just like capping your frame rate at 45 fps because it's filling in frames in between.
  6. Why have you changed your setting to "motionvector" instead of leaving it set at "auto"? I thought motionvector was so that you got 45fps? How are you getting 30 fps when motionvector sets it to 45 fps?
  7. I thought Vulcan was mainly for AMD and where does it say Wags are developing a new core system with Vulcan for 7 years now?
  8. Are you capping your fps to be 45 fps, or is this just what you get in DCS? I find looking out to the left and right of the cockpit stutters if my fps are up and down and I get terrible ghosting when seeing other aircraft. Does the new Nvidia driver that has a fps setting allow you to cap DCS at 45 fps in VR?
  9. I couldn't go back to flat screen DCS now, but why don't the DCS devs create a map just for VR using lower textures etc? I'm sure if they created a less detailed map for VR then it would allow those who use it to have better fps would it not?
  10. Setting where exactly? I don't see it in Steam VR either?
  11. Where is the Super sample filter setting? I don't see it anywhere in DCS settings?
  12. Well the distance was 120 miles but it picked it up at first. I then climbed to 320000ft, to see if I could pick it up again, but I'm guessing it's probably due to the distance then, correct? One other question though if it is due to the distance. Say I select my destination and the Tacan picks it up at first and then losses it. Would it then automatically pick it back up again if I flew in that direction and got closer, or would I have to clear the tacan and set it back up again when I was closer? Cheers!
  13. I'm new to the F18, but I seem to have a problem with the Tacan and didn't know if it's a bug or something I'm doing wrong? I click on the left DDi, select Hsi and then highlight Tacan. I then press TCN on the the function keys, clear the current number 1 and input the Tacan of the airfield I want. After that I press enter and the DDi shows the Tacan symbol, miles to go etc. But then suddenly the Tacan symbol on the DDI is no longer there and neither is the miles to go etc. All that remains is a spinning arrow on the DDi? I then try the same procedure to get it all back to how it was, but it doesn't work? What am I doing wrong? Anyone any idea's why it should work at first then suddenly not?
  14. I have just installed the DCS World Beta, but already have my controls setup for the F18 in the none Beta version of DCS World. Does anyone know a way I can just import the none DCS Beta controls settings into the Beta of DCS World? I don't want to have to do all these control settings again because it takes time. Thanks!
