  1. This is pretty disappointing. I've been waiting for this option since the Hornet got the TGP. I love replicating the FAC(A) role but barely ever do it because it's just too clunky our Hornet.

  3. Will the night lighting for the cockpit of the Mi-8 and UH-1 get any love soon? They're borderline unusable in their current state.
  4. Nah unfortunately when you remove the rear cargo door, you remove all the gunners and hard points. What I would like to achieve is the no rear cargo door and no weapons but keep the front door gunner so you can have a realistic CSAR configuration. Like the Mi-17s in Afghanistan:
  5. Seems like it passes integrity check! Does anyone know if you can change it so that the rear cargo doors can be removed but you can retain the 12.7 gunner in the front door?

  7. Hey, just noticed this in a mission when trying to engage targets with an AGM-65F. When a red smoke marker was present in the FOV of the IR Mav cam DDI, it bloomed or washed out the seeker so it was impossible to target anything within the camera FOV. As this was just a red smoke marker and not a burning column of smoke, would this not be a bug? Cheers.

  9. Suggestion: Aircraft that despawn or crash within 1nm of a hospital or helipad don't spawn survivors to be medevac'd - they just get an ambulance to pick them up. :idea: Negative Ghostrider, you'll need to disable the mods you have that are tainting your IC.
  10. Could we get a status of the current capacity on the F10 map? Like along with the hospital marker it will say how many slots it has left. Or perhaps that would be easier with an F10 radio option?
  11. Hey guys, the adjust rope length feature is currently bugged bc the option shows on the F11 option which is the default to 'go back' so instead of giving you the option to adjust the rope length it just exits the menu.
  12. Love the concept of this server. A nice idea would be maybe to have scaled difficulty. So you could have your units that show on the F10 map and aalso units that don't show and only have a vague grid reference. Weather and time of day changes would be cool also. In the future some combat SAR would be cool too. Even if in a certain part of the map for pilots who want more of a challenge.
  13. This script has so much potential and the latest version (6.3) ran seamlessly the other night for me. Unfortunately i can't get it to work consistently! Most of the time the ground infantry keep running circles after their vehicle explode and don't stop to then request the medevac. Then sometimes they will request medevac but then the 'active medevac/sar' option only works once then it shows nothing at all. Can any of you talented people check out whats up?
  14. I disagree. Sadly, singular AK bullets that hit the main fuselage or the belly of the aircraft still cause engine failures for me. When I get some time I'll do some testing and compile some video footage.
  15. DCS Huey is much higher definition that that UH1 from Xplane. There are different textures for the cockpit of the Huey, I recently downloaded some 'Nam era paints with custom markings, stickers and plaques in the cockpit and they look epic.
  16. A LOD issue perhaps? I've noticed various object disappearing in views when the majority of the object is off screen. It gets to a point where the object is far enough off screen that the rest of it disappears.

  19. My only gripe with the Mi8 is that it is completely pathetic when it comes to taking small arms fire. In the UH1 you can land in a hot LZ and get absolutely punished by inf with 7.62. At worst you'll lose some panels, cop a cracked windscreen and maybe have an elec problem. Unfortunately however, the Mi-8 seems to fall on the other end of the spectrum. Where even the quickest and lightest brush with hostile 7.62 will usually render one engine completely inop and 8/10 times you lose all your SAS channels which is incredibly painful. Has anyone else had similar experience with the 8 being too soft and squishy when it comes to enemy small arms fire?

Loosely based on the 'Battle of Medina Ridge' in the 91 Gulf War, this mission can be played SP. Engage hostile ground forces in a deep attack/killbox interdiction style mission. SITUATION: Coalition ground forces are advancing on the city of Jiroft. BLUE armored units will push north from a staging area, their objective is to reach two overwatch positions just south of Jiroft city by bypassing the small town of Mohammadabad. Two Combined Arms Battalions composing of M1A1 Abrams and M2 Bradleys will maneuver east and west of Mohammadabad to reach Objective Hasan and Halil. Elements of a REDFOR armored/mechanised division are defending the objective. Their strength and disposition is unknown. REDFOR is equipped with T72 and T55 main battle tanks along with BMP2 and other IFV/APCs.   21. Hey Nealius - Just map the Autopilot Flight Director switch to your HOTAS! Otherwise known as the 'make this thing fly like a normal helo button'.
  22. +1 For working windscreen wipers!!! The Ka50 has the rain droplets on the windshield, the wiper has no effect on moving them so that you can see clearly. Hovering in a downfall is really challenging because you can barely see at the moment. The Shkval seems unaffected by rain.
