  1. Well yes but you will remove yor hand hit the swith and take the stick again. And not looking for a controller, it is the same now but instead of controller you use the mouse. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  2. I wonder the same. But it seems you have to hold the touch, this means you have to remove your hand from the hotas, take the touch(while you have the rift on you so you cant see too much) then do what you do, leave it and get the hotas again, I think a good button box whith rotarys and switches placed on a proper position is better investment for DCS specificaly. But there would be other good stuff for touch like shooters etc... My 2 cents.. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  3. Yeah that makes sens Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  4. Well yes but in order to check your six with TRACKIR you turn your head 10 degrees(which is sort of cheating toghether with zoom) With VR you have to rotate with your body and head keeping the controls and flying the same time and just when you would be able to see your six the rift limits your vision(which can be the same wearing helmets/glasses real ww2 pilots do) and this extra efford needed gives me neck pain after 20-30 minutes dogfighting :) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  5. Hm.. I don't think number of pixels are different in vr or monitor. Vr is no different than montor you just looks at it very close. If the bandit is rendered on 2 pixels in a monitor it will be the same on the vr screen with the same res but you will see those 2 pixels larger. The sde is messing the visibility for VR. I have some expirience with the dora against avarage p51 ai and most of the time I kill him. The problems for me were more like checking my six due to the limited fov and the fact that the AI flyes very clean while I overpull sometimes or mess the rudder inputs but this is another topic. 6. Mig-29s can shoot r-77s and is able to track and shoot 2 targets at a time. With awacs or gci it is capable bvr. Yeah r77 is unlikely to hit the target but that's another story.. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  7. Manuals are in dcs/mods/aircraft/su25/doc folder Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  8. Can you please add mig-29A it has new external model and looks much better than the S version :) Thank you.
  9. It depends what aircraft you like. If you like modern air to ground go for a10c, if you like air to air you can practice with simplified su27 f15, or the rest of the FC3 it will take a while until you get decent at A2A tactics it is an art and aftr that go for M2000 for the advanced module. Or if you prefer older style A2A planes - mig21, f5 are vietnam war planes or you even can go back in time for a first jets f86 sabre or mig15. Or why not world war 2planes :) If you like helicopters, all are very good and different. So it is all about your personal likeness. Note that it is essential to learn all the weapons (missiles, rockets, bombs) and their characteristics and air defences so you can properly use them and defend from them but you will get to that point :) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  10. It happened to me a couple of times, fixed by itself, have no idea how and why :) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  11. I have old driver which worked ffine before the update, also works perfectly fine in 1.5. ASW on or off makes no difference - 10-15 frames with "vr" preset settings. Something with the vr support is broken. Don't mess with your drivers. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  12. I strongly recommend you to read the manual for the plane you are learning. Choose one and stick with it, it takes lots of time to get used to all the systems (depends on the module) and after that starts the bigger challange or how to correctly use them in battle, different tactics, approaches etc.. 13. Well I never used someone else's configuration but I believe there should be somwhere in the forum. But trust me it is better for you to bind the keys it is easier to build muscle memory. What I was doing is while doing the training missions when he says "press space to fire your weapons" go to control settings and hit space, this will select the correspond contrlols and you can then select saitek x52 column and bind it. 14. Yes but only on the modules with clickable cockpits. The free one su25t that DCS comes with is not. It is with simplified systems and no clickable swithes. The same goes for all flaming clifs aircrafts. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  15. Hi, I find the best approach for me is to bind the keys into the game settings not via saitek software. What I usualy do is binding the obvious ones first like throttle pitch/yaw/roll and then start learning the aircraft systems etc.. and bind the keys meanwhile so you can prioritize them when you know how often you will use them. Also I m cheking what is on the hotas in the real aircraft. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  16. Don't get your expectation too high. I have 2 dof seat mover for racing sims mainly and also tried 3 dof full motion. It is cool, but nothing spectacular it is not producing any G just some movement. VR is way more "lol" effect than motion seat. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  17. When you engage hover, circle with a small square inside appears in the hud and a small line will show your velocity vector. When you engage hover the square is in the middle of the circle and this is your hover position which your autopilot is trying to keep. When you engage it with 40km, you are going away from this position too fast and the autopilot is trying to circle back to the point where you engaged hover. I don't know when is this before when you could engage hover with 40km (may be if you were with "game avionics") but currently it is not gonna work and this is how it should be. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  18. ^^^ It is not auto-hover but hover mode. It is to keep you hover but as aairon said, you have to go below ~10km, trim, and then turn hover mode on. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  19. What's the problem having it printed? In fsx I have tons of checklists and charts printed. I don't have to expect this what you say from people, I tought the server expects it. There are lots of servers that are expecting nothing but join take off and shoot whatever you can before someone shoots you. I tought BF is expecting people who are joining to be more involved in flying and in combat tactics. This is why you have to register submit aplication etc.. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  20. Do it this way then. We have all the tools to do it as it should be. I mostly fly ka50 and as a red side pilot all of my attempts to join in BF ends up with me beeing alone with no one in SR and very few in TS outside of squadrons(including 3 hours ago). It seems like most of the people are like "lol blue flag is the real thing" then they join and behave like in 104th. I like to plan my attack confiure abris and pvi800 and execute the plan with coordination with sead and cap group, but in BF and dcs MP at all people attidude is more like they just look for some quick engagment. My short BF expirience shows like it is more like regular quick start server then the hard core one that it pretend and should be. You can see that in the forum HQ is dead, no activity since r8(in red side) which tells enough about the communication involved. Now they do more features which helps flying without any radio com at all. I guess I will stick to SP if this is the way MP is going. Best regards and thanks buddy spike for the efforts they put but in the end it is all about people's attitude. Edit: My 2 cents: it should be 1 live per server restart or at least 20-30 minutes respawn penalty or it will remain airquake in the peak hours. Edit: also limit missiles and fuel way more, so each side should be cautious for resources and may be there kwill be more important fuel convoys which can be attacked. It will make things much more interesting. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  21. Lets turn on labels to make it easier for the new players and for people who don't want to loose time to use their radar :) Also make all modules available to all sides this will make it perfectly balamced ;) Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
  22. Yes this too... remove both :) Only issue is you cant use navigation systems on FC3 Aircraft and this is kind of dump, you have to navigate like ww2 plane with them.
  23. And how does those who don't want to use radio com receive reports irl ? This shared markers is absolutely arcade. And you also have chat which is also not very realistic, telling everyone what you have killed with what aircraft, reporting prety much your status to the enemy. Sent from my SCH-I535 using Tapatalk
