  1. Why do you mention differences between single and multiplayer? isn't it the same game after all? I guess it is because in sinle you have take off assistance on and on multiplayer there is no assistance?
  2. That's totally true..I live for the day when we can input senses to our brain to feel gravitational forces, movement and maybe pain if bullet hits pilot :P :pilotfly::joystick::helpsmilie:
  3. Well for starters, Cessna is not a tail dragger and is a trainer aircraft built with this in mind. It's easy as hell and can take a punch. I've done some very nice crab landings on it during my training till i get used to the rudder not being on the joystick! :megalol::megalol: It is mentioned in history books that a lot of 109 pilots had problems with their landings and take offs. In fact they lost quite a number of planes and pilots on landings. That's for the 109 which had a weak gear system. I haven't read anything about the 190 though.
  4. S! to all Did anybody else encounter this weird bug in the server that suddenly the server won't register any of your kills? I suspect it may happen because of side changing but it starts like this: I take off, find an enemy and shoot. :joystick: Tracers come out with no colour or grey instead of green. Then i know the server will not register any of my kills anymore. The planes go down but server says they just crashed. I tried changing planes and sides- did not work. The only way to fix it is by leaving and rejoining the server.
  5. For the ones that didn't come yet, go to Programs, Eagle Dynamics and run Update DCS exe
  6. Seeing all that videos brings tears to my eyes trying to imagine what they all went through and the enormous courage and strength they must have had. Thanks for posting the videos Chuck Owl.
  7. Please sir, have a look at WinterOwl's playlist of the whole DCS Mustang campaign. He posted those very good videos including his errors so you can see what he was doing wrong and how he fixed it. It helped me a lot when i was trying myself to go through these missions! :-) If i remember well, you can't pass this mission because you forget 2 things: The ram air The mixture. Have a look at the videos and you will see what i mean. Part 4 and 5 will solve this for you
  8. In IL-2 this was solved with a second base a bit further. So you could respawn in the other base if that one is being attacked. But i do agree it's a bit off putting. Guns on ground shouldn't be allowed on planes Realistic but a very cowardly move. Bombs and rockets on the other hand..:joystick: :D
  9. Yeah ok it watched the coolant temperature and operate radiator flaps. It however does not reduce manifold pressure to keep the temperature from rising further. I would appreciate though if anybody know and could answer my main question.
  10. I never demanded that or complained that i can't do it. But the answer to your question is simple..Because i CAN. All i was asking is: Is it normal for Dora?? In the P-51 you push the engine for more than 1 min and it's dead. The Junkers Jumo 213 A-1 engine can indefinitely run on full power with no damage? I cannot find engine limitations anywhere and how long it should run on what settings. In the game I fly every sortie on full power..sometimes 'till bingo fuel so i'm sure i can do it. as for that You are quite wrong sir. It does not control engine temperature It only regulates manifold pressure. The same is done in the P-51.
  11. That's what i'm asking in my post. I fly around constantly on full power 3200U @ 1.6ata around 1000-2000km with flaps AUTO always (note: I don't use MW-50 at that altitude) without an engine quiting problem, and i fly around for like 20 minutes, maybe more. Is it only mine that does not quit?
  12. Hello all, I just have one question to make for the FW190. I fly for quite some time now..and can't fail to notice that i never ever care about engine management in the Dora. I fly almost constantly on full power and i never burned the engine. Is it the case that the radiator is so powerful lthat you don't have an overheating problem?
  13. The ED Devs IMO are not even required to spend time on building one. There are a couple of 3rd party designers that made a purchasable C172 model. I'm aware of Carenado and A2A simulations. Couldn't ED get in touch with them to make one for DCS?
  14. Well, i don't believe a cessna 172 civil is hard to make..no weapon systems or anything special. We just need switches and a realistic FM up to DCS standards..even the damage model doesn't have to be that detailed... People who say they love FSX can you please tell me how you manage to love it? It's pixelated all over, with planes that go through buildings and crappy FM. Maybe i'm missing something and i really want to know what. Once it comes out in DCS i believe it will take all people from FSX!;) But on the other hand, if we are talking about stealing programming hours from the devs to do it, i surely prefer these hours to go on a P-38!
  15. Please please please!!! Someone make a Cessna 172 model!! We are forced to train in Flight Simulator X with crap graphics and with an FM of a tricycle toy for kids. We all need a DCS standards aircraft to fly virtually our trainer for real!! Please:pilotfly::joystick::cry:
  16. Hello, The video you posted is a 5m/s crosswind takeoff. The mission attached at the end is a mission setup to try a 50m/s for fun.(not so much  ) :D If you type DCS P-51 10m/s crosswind in youtube you will find 2-3 videos showing takeoff landing and taxi. There is one that shows the input from controls so you can see his input movements :joystick:
  17. For the ground crew to hand crank the engine in a K4 you have to first turn off either the battery or the generator switch from the circuit breaker i don't remember which is it now i can try it when at home. But i personally turn every circuit breaker switch to off then call ground crew.:joystick:
  18. I'm sorry but i'm a total noob in mods... Do these work on all servers (pass integrity) like the clouds mod?
  19. +1 We can see planes flying 10000m above sea level. Yeah the big ones i know and if they are highlighted by the sun against a blue/dark background. I'm not saying we should see enemy planes at 10000m apart but at 500m you shouldn't need zoom to tell what plane it is. In an airshow i was actually tracking planes as they come in for the show and then leave. And i would track them and see how far i could spot them. i could spot them even when they were 5km away. Maybe you can't spot them when you are moving as well with 300km/h in a cockpit with loud sound (sometimes when i drive and i'm lost i turn down the volume of music :megalol: ) but you can't miss them at 2km.
  20. A lot of good pilots lost at that tragic incident.. Our news state a flame-out of the engine and no "wrong maneuvers" by the pilots. My condolences to the family members. Very sad news indeed.
