  1. Unfortunately, my comments never made it to the descriptions section of the first post. Here is a summary of what was left out: After updating to DCS 2.7, I wanted to see how it was to view the sim using the HP Reverb G2 headset. When finished, I attempted to append the following after dcs.exe --force_disable_VR, which worked well with the previous version to startup in non-VR mode. In this case, it did not work with version 2.7, and would lockup DCS with no image. I had to use CTL ALT DEL to get the sim to halt before I could progress further It was suggested in anothe
  2. Svsmokey, Unfortunately, it didn't work. DCS appears to start up, then disappears from main screen, and DCS icon is in the sys tray. I then have to perform a CTL ALT DEL to shut DCS down as it is still running to recover. Bill Clark
  3. I used to have a modified DCS.EXE modification that permits me to start DCS in Non VR mode, it looked like this: ..........DCS.exe" --force_disable_VR Since updating to version 2.7, this concept no longer works, any suggestions? Bill
  4. Vander, it appears your firmware may be newer than mine. I have been flying a lot the last three days with no issue of buttons not working. What I might be able to attribute it to, is when I took off the back plate to inspect the wiring, I may have inadvertently fixed the issue while moving wires around a bit when I pressed down on the connectors. It may have been a stroke of luck, I just don't know. I won't declare my problem completely fixed, I will see what happens as time progresses!!! Bill Clark
  5. To get the firmware version, click on FIRMWARE button on Virpil Controls S/W, and you will see the Controller firmware file path. The firmware version is listed there. Bill Clark
  6. Vander, Since I don't have Elite Dangerous the first solution is N/A. I looked at my Virpil profile and I only have 4 sec's max delay. I am using the Virpil software & firmware that came with the unit, I never updated. Do you ever update, and what is your current version? Below is the device ID, software, and firmware versions of my setup: Device ID -- VPC-JOY-190411 Software version -- 20190411 Firmware version -- Firmware_vpc_[CNT-ATMEGA32U4].hexc My hardware and software: Win10, V-2004//I5-8600K 5.2GHz//Nvidia GTX 1080Ti//VRAM 11GB RAM 32GB//2TB M2.NVMe//Gig
  7. Shagrat, Yesterday, I tried a USB HUB, unfortunately, it did not cure my problem. As normal practice, especially after a Win 10 update, I check all my USB items in Device Manager, to make sure that none are in "power saving mode." Like you, I run my PC full power as it is fully dedicated to flight simulation My next step, is to take the plate off the bottom of the unit to perform an inspection later today, check soldering, or anything else that grabs my attention. Your suggestions are very helpful, I will let you know what I find, if anything. The next step may be to write a ticket
  8. Shagrat, My problem is unrelated to the one you have described. I also experienced it in P3D and DCS as well. Thanks for jumping in to help. Bill Clark
  9. Thanks Shagrat, Not sure I understand your suggestion, are you referencing FS2020? I don't think I have ever used the VFR window. Bill Clark
  10. When running either P3D V5 or FS2020, after an indeterminant period of time, my Virpil MONGOOST-50 buttons disconnect. What happens, is all the buttons no longer function, however, my analog controls, such as twin throttles, and other axis features, continue to work. Below is the device ID, software, and firmware versions: Device ID -- VPC-JOY-190411 Software version -- 20190411 Firmware version -- Firmware_vpc_[CNT-ATMEGA32U4].hexc My hardware and software: Win10, V-2004//I5-8600K 5.2GHz//Nvidia GTX 1080Ti//VRAM 11GB RAM 32GB//2TB M2.NVMe//Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 7//Corsai
  11. Thanks for your inputs. As to the log file. should I attach it as a zip file, or past the text into the response? Bill PD Specs: Win10, V-2004//I5-8600K 5.2GHz//Nvidia GTX 1080Ti//VRAM 11GB RAM 32GB//2TB M2.NVMe//Gigabyte Z370 Gaming 7//Corsair H115i
  12. When I takeoff and fly the instant mission from Creech AFB, in the F-16C to Las Vegas in VR, DCS crashes, a large error message comes on, stating it is collecting data, and then the PC reboots. When I enter the Las Vegas area, I buzz Casino row, head to Nellis, make a high speed pass down the runway, and perform an overhead break. When I slow down, drop the gear, and make my approach, the sim crashes and my PC reboots. I have never experienced this issue in the many years I have been flying DCS This has happened two times in a row, so it appears to be repeatable. I am flying in VR and I
  13. I flew just a moment ago and attempted to follow the CASE III procedure. I did call Inbound, Established, and Commence commands. But I forgot Platform, and calling the Ball, and probably a few other things. I will practice some more this afternoon. I thought I would point out that I usually fly in VR mode, with an Oculus Rift S model headset. The long range laser shows up as very bright and really easy to see at night. When I got in close I had no problem seeing the landing lights, however, the artificial IFOLS that shows up in the cockpit was really bright. Adjusting cockpit lighting
