  1. Turn Vertical Sync off in the Nvidia control panel and turn off VSync in the DCS Settings.
  2. mainWheelRollFricK = 0.044 Much easier to taxi without overspeeding at minimum manifold pressure keeping the generator going. Although ED might have modelled it correctly with 0.022 as another member of the forum with real Yak-52 experience said you had to get on the brakes. Try 0.044 and see what you think.
  3. Thank you Toriy. Fantastic if this is correct.
  4. Hi, The default setting of 0.022 seems to be too low. On concrete taxiway and holding manifold pressure at 35 (anything below will cause generator fault), the aircraft will increase speed and you will always need to be riding the brakes. Is this true and genuine in a real YAK-52? I have doubled mainWheelRollFricK to 0.044 and this seems to be a more believable rolling resistance when taxiing a minimum throttle.
  5. That was not directed at iRacing, that was directed at DCS users.
  6. This is the very thing that turned me away from iRacing. Paying a subscription and then having to pay for tracks and cars just rubs me up the wrong way as a consumer. Whats the point of offering a subscription model and then 80% of people stop buying modules because they have abandoned the sim?
  7. I went with a 2080ti as I use a 4K 43" computer monitor.
  8. The English cockpit mod looks great and converts everything including the speed into knots. ED's English cockpit converts all labels but leaves maybe 4 gauges in Russian, probably 95% is in English so its not a big deal to me. The 5% still in Russian you wouldn't be likely to convert the gauges anyway in real life, so it feels more realistic if the aircraft was imported to a western English speaking country.
  9. Save some money and buy the cheapest 2080ti you can find thats not a blower style card. I went with the cheaper ASUS Dual fan (non strix version) and its been fine.
  10. Thank you I was wondering this myself.
  11. The Yak spins beautifully. Love adding opposite aileron and flatting out the spin so it becomes nice and flat.
  12. All labels are in English for switches accept text inside gauges and on nav instruments, that wouldn't be realistically changed.
  13. My FMOptions.LUA settings aileronTrimTab = 0.02 elevatorTrimTab = 0.0 rudderTrimTab = -0.25 I'm also going to play around the with the rolling resistance as the aircraft accelerates on tarmac with minimum throttle (setting around 35 manifold pressure gauge) with generator still working. Maybe this is how the real Yak-52 works, but at this stage its more annoying than anything having to constantly ride the brakes.
  14. I agree, in special options fixed trim settings changes nothing. I have had some luck modifying the FMOptions.LUA file though.
  15. 375m in real Yak-52 375m in DCS 1000m in DCS On second thought this needs to be redone as zoom in DCS is further in.
  16. Finally returning to the sim after many years, mainly flew DCS World before Version 1, something is worrying me about the visual scaling of altitude/height. Having real world aviation flying experience, the visual scaling seems incorrect. Using the Yak-52 for instance, establishing a circuit altitude of 300m/1000ft, seems way to low visually. In fact, only when I climb to 1000m, does the aircraft feel like it is actually at 1000ft off the ground. In turn, when I am at 300m, it feels like I am at 300ft. Maybe I am crazy. I've double checked the altimeter and cross checked with F2 view to make sure altitude in sim is as reported on altimeter. Experienced both on Stable and Open Beta.
  17. I heard the team working on the Mig-19 will work on the Mig-23. So the sooner the Mig-19 is done, the quicker the Mig-23 should see a ramp up in development.
  18. I downloaded an IPD app on my phone and it told me my IPD is 61 or 61.5mm, will I have any problems with the default 64mm IPD on the Oculus S?
  19. I just built a new computer and went with 64Gb of ram. Only because I plan to keep this system for at least 4-6 years.

Was this weapon system ever equipped to the M2000c?
  21. Hi Vinita, thank you for replying, do you have a rough idea of the cruise and climb power setting? This is not in the manual.
  22. Thank you very much, is there a power setting for cruise? I see in the manual there is a max continuous exhaust gas temperature. I was wondering about normal cruise power setting.
  23. Hi all, I've looked through the manual and can't seem to find where the climb, cruise and decent power settings and speeds are? Can anyone help?
  24. Thank for the link. My issue is, a 43" 16:9 monitor is actually wider than a 35" 21:9. If this was the case, wouldn't a physically bigger 16:9 monitor be better as you can zoom out and maintain a similar wide view as a 21:9 but have the benefit of the increased vertical space?
