  1. Still having this problem as well, both singleplayer and multiplayer in multithreaded version. Even going to the special options and lowering the allowed background threads to the minimum doesn't have any noticeable change. I just designate to HRM, the game hangs, then crash to desktop no matter what I do. My pc specs are fine, it's certainly no potato (AMD Ryzen 5 3600 6-core, 2070 Super, 64GB DDR4). Attached is a crash log from my most recent CTD, just the simple free flight mission on caucasus. dcs.log-20230628-193829.zip
  2. I used to do ATC for a squadron a few years back using F10 spectator mode in multiplayer, and I was thinking about jumping back in recently. One difficulty we had was that we (as in controllers) had to select each player and aircraft to see their speed and altitude. As you can imagine, that is quite a pain when you're trying to separate aircraft or be AWACS. Now I know LotATC exists, and is a good program. However, I would love to see a way to toggle altitude and speed readouts on the individual datatags in the F10 map without having to click on them. This could probably be done in a similar format to the health bar toggle on AI controlled units. It may seem like a small thing, but it would be a welcome and huge quality of life upgrade for those that spend a decent amount of time in the F10 map for various reasons. EDIT: For example, maybe something along the lines of the datatags from real-life STARS radar displays. Obviously not the same, but a similar concept.
  3. There's 50 people actively viewing this thread right now, so there's probably more than 50 people invested in the future of DCS MP EDIT: 91 actively viewing now EDIT #2: topped out at 104 right after Wags posted
  4. Well, I haven't posted anything in years, pretty much since I only played SP. Since then I've moved to the a Discord with a bunch of like-minded people, and we all play multiplayer together. Or at least we try to. Our server owners and managers deserve the utmost praise for what they try to do, and sacrifice a lot of time and money into a hobby, a video game. For you to just write off our concerns, because there wasn't enough attention to it in the thread (at the time of your writing) is absurd. Add my name to the list of people complaining about multiplayer, because we don't see any effort on your (Eagle Dynamics) part to fix it Ban me, I don't care. I haven't bought any new modules or maps since the Harrier anyways, because I don't want to have to fight the netcode and multiplayer issues to have fun with my friends. Consumers vote with their wallets, and I'm sure everyone here in this thread is starting to get a little tired of our concerns being ignored and written off.
  5. Still seems to be an issue on today's date in Mission 1. Really a bummer that I can't even get started in this campaign because of a bug.
  6. I'm having the same problem, client version 1.2.16.39472. I've seen some questionable replies to other people with the same issue further down the forum about using the repair tool, but I'm using the Steam version. I know this post is almost a month old, but did you ever get it fixed, and if yes how so?
  7. Just got done with Operation Hammerfall, really well done so far. I especially like that there's no notification that tells you when all the enemies are dead, like most missions. Puts me in that uncomfortable spot where I have to make sure it's safe to send in the ground forces. Really enjoying it.
  8. If this takes any longer, I'll run out of beer. Then it will be a VERY long wait

  10. I can't wait anymore. I haven't been this excited in I don't know how long. Leatherneck...pls
  11. I love reading the manual during my breaks at work, keeps me sane during a stressful day and gives me something to look forward to when I get home. And I don't know how many times I've read it by now, but I still learn something new every time.
  12. Funny, I completely forgot about the POS CDU page. I only ever used it if I was curious about the temperature at my altitude and wondered how badly I would freeze if I popped the canopy.
  13. When you use a vending machine and don't put the right amount of change in, and it tells you the amount is incorrect, and the first thing you think is "oh, CICU INPUT ERROR"
  14. For your first question, you are absolutely right. Make sure that you are differentiating between 37T and 38T when using MGRS coordinates. As for a good fix to make sure that the issue doesn't popup, I'd just pick a different area to make your mission, unless you want that level of complexity to factor in. On the CDU if you want to change from 37T to 38T (and vice versa), it is done from the same WAYPT page that you would enter the 10-digit grid in, but I don't remember the OSB off the top of my head. A quick look at the CDU page should help.
  15. Does anybody have (or know where I can find) the audio file for the Master Caution Alarm? I have a problem sleeping through my alarm clock in the mornings, so I was thinking of changing it to something that will get my attention when it goes off
  16. 20,000 feet, 35-45 deg dive was what I did when it happened. I just didn't have the room to maneuver or recover in time.
  17. Good stuff Bunyap. I think I learned more from all of your vids than anywhere else.
  18. I just had this happen to me today. Going in for guns, pulling out with no engines and everything off. The good news was that I was able to get my APU on and engines restarted. The bad news was that I was in the mountains and didn't have enough airspeed to clear that last ridge by the time I was back up and running.
  19. Just my experience, but weight seems to play a major role in how my plane reacts on takeoff. With a decent loadout I have no problems, but if I go with a completely empty plane, then I find myself easily hitting a 15-20 deg climb as immediately after wheels up. Like you said, I have to trim down a lot once I take off, but only with a light-weight loadout.
