Put solar panels on the roof in the UK and it’d take 10 years to recoup the price of the panels :megalol:
There were Integrated in my New builded home. :D

Am I the only person who thinks that it’s about time we had a true, technological breakthrough regarding power consumption in computers? 1000watts is insane. That’s one bar on an electric fire or 100 energy saving light bulbs running simultaneously. I wonder what the true cost of a 3-4 hour gaming session is? Have you ever switched on a kettle and watched the meter spin up? I used to get a bollocking off my dad for putting the electric fire on back in the day.
1 dollar for a 4 Hour game Session. I have solarpanels on my roof, I play for free. :D

New rumor rtx 3090 cost 2000 dollars. Replace of the Titan. Well if the Price more then 500 dollars difference for 30 procent performance, I'll maybe choose the rtx 3080 and sure wait for Amd before purchase. :D

Haven't they said the Syria map is supposed to be released in September/October?! Now it's comming in August...
Once again ED failed their own estimates! I feel betrayed...
/SCNR :D
Well Nice to see Early acces earlier. :D

Rift S will give you better clarity/optics over Rift CV1, with no real performance penalty as the Rift S runs at 80Hz versus 90 Hz of the CV1.
Whether it is enough for you to justify the cost only you could say when you have tried it. Only thing I did not like about the Rift S was that crappy audio strap. I use earbuds plugged into the Rift S audio jack and sound is great that way.
I upgraded to the Rift S over the CV1 in May 2019 and did not regret it, and I use it pretty much daily.
Having said that though, I do have a Reverb G2 on pre-order and look forward to seeing how it does on my rig. Hope to have a 3080 Ti around the same time.
+1 reverb g1 now. September reverb g2 and probarbly Rtx 3090. :D

Same here. Left earphone was intermittent then stopped working altogether and I’m also getting flashes and sparkles. It’ll be going back when my G2 arrives. Hopefully the two years limited warranty will cover it.
Looks like the first batch a Year ago. I swapped it for a New One. Never had that problems again.

And yes. There are two versions G2. One with controllers and one without controllers.

Hi, everybody:
I only use virtual reality on DCS, and I'm just about to pre-order a new Reverb G2 because it looks like it's going to be the best to use in simulation, and take advantage of the 100 Euro discount on the pre-purchase.
But first I would like to ask a question to those of you who currently have a Reverb:
My equipment is a Rayzen 3700X, with 32 GB at 3600MHz and an RTX 2080.
Do you think this is enough equipment to handle the new G2?
Reading forums around, I see that the graphics are fair, but people who have 1080 Ti and 2080 "just" say that it is enough - logically a 2080 Ti will go better, since it is known that for GPU VR you always want the best and it will still be little?
Currently I fly with a Rift S, always OffLine and in light missions, and I am happy with the performance as long as I don't go to PD higher than 1.2. This way I get 40 fps with active ASW on smooth NOE flights.
As people justify that the Reverb does not need to increase the PD they say that the performance even improves, but of course they usually come from flying with high PDs: 1.7 or even more in their previous HMDs, hence my doubts...
I look forward to your contributions, which will always be welcome...
Regards
45 FPS straight you can get with the HP reverb G2 with your system now!
I play 45 - 90 FPS with the reverb g1 now. See system in signature.
Because i will the best of the best i gonna upgrade at the end of the year. But will it Nvidia or AMD... time will tell.
90 FPS DCS on high settings is a dream. I'll hope it finally comes true. :D

No it's just 1 product; below it's say's; order with a temporary discount code; REVERBG2 for a €100 discount.
It''s only shady that in such a way that maybe people will order it without this code so they get more profit but they don't sell Reverb G2's without controllers.
This reseller does.... euhm... excl. is really no controllers there...
https://www.derekenwinkel.nl/hp-reverb-g2-new-generation-1830.html
Very shady for a gold reseller... I don't trust them. Not all reviews are good. So even with € 100,00 discount. I really only go for the HP official site. Sadly still not for pre-sale in my country. :D
-
Yep 2 seperate Products. Hp didn't announce this.
-
Please watch out for resellers. I saw pre-order hp reverb g2 with and without controllers. Don't like it at all! The reverb g2 comes standard WITH CONTROLLERS! Scam?!? Well very odd indeed!
https://www.derekenwinkel.nl/hp-reverb-g2-new-generation.html https://www.derekenwinkel.nl/hp-reverb-g2-new-generation-1830.html
Please be alert on this. :D

Syria map pre-purchased before the newsletter. :D
-
Yeah I would agree based on what all I have read. If the Reverb was 4 times more demanding there would be a lot of disgruntled Reverb users here.
Which is why I did not hesitate over any performance concerns when I ordered the G2, I think I will be ok in at least that department.
If I can run it at it's native 100% resolution and get that great image clarity I keep hearing about and still maintain some decent GFX settings, I will be ecstatic.
And maybe will have a 3080 Ti around the same time as I get the G2.
Don your all good. I run 45 fps at minimum on 2080 with reverb G1. G2 will not more demanding then G1. I am too see the G2 and 3080 ti/3090 in Future. End of all problems in DCS. Whooaa :D
-
I am stunned. Why buy now a 2080ti? A card that is 2 years Old on full price? In 3 months the 3080ti is there with 40% increase to the 2080ti. Sorry, I simply just don't get it. Sure I saved the money too... just waiting for the real monster card. :D

https://www.roadtovr.com/hp-reverb-g2-announcement-pre-order-price-release-date/
Hp steps back from times to release by resellers. :D
Was to expect that resellers want your money first! yep... whoop there it is.... :D
-
Well some Patience is needed. I talked to hp in my Country. They answered, call us back next week. :D
-
I only pre-order from HP. The aftersales are fantastic. We all had problems with version 1 from the hp reverb last year.. HP send me a new one and asked sending me the old one, so i don't missed a day in VR! :D
So i stick with them. A reseller can be demanding the old one before sending a new one. And what to think of guarantees..long waits and hope for the best.
-
You can see the 3d objects while you zoom in, in the mission editor and how they placed in the mission. :D
==============================================
Friday... weekend news.... bugsfixing weeks :D
I am really curious if ED found big BUGS...zoom...zoom...zoom..
Maybe a neat little patch? :D hahaha...
Thanks.

Ok I pulled the trigger on the pre-order!
Yeah I am with you there, I prefer MSAA as well.
I am looking forward to trying this puppy out.
Welcome to the Hp clan Don! :D
you won't regret it!
-
I put on the naughty shoes and contact pre-sales from Hp in my country. Too ask if they know when i can pre-order the HP Reverb G2. The headset must now going on full production by HP. So asking is better then guessing... :D Hope they can answer.
-
LOL, we'll see. Maybe next week.
This is for you Don!
Hahaha... i am happy with the reverb g1, but i'll think this is the ultimate dream! :D
-
No luck in Europe yet. Checking everyday! :D
https://www.derekenwinkel.nl/hp-reverb-g2-new-generation.html
This website claims 9/16/2020 in House. I wait for the official hp site, cause the aftersales is Outstanding good, personal preference.

I would like to see a through the lense comparision of the Reverb G1 versus G2 by MRTV
By the way on both of my Reverb G1 headsets I was/I am not able to detect any mura (uneven lighting of the display). Perhaps it is me, but I have also seen messages that it differs from Reverb to Reverb.
The clarity is fantastic. The mura is the attacker of the clarity. The sweetspot in G1 is small, the sweetspot is enormous in the G2. Look at the vid i posted.
It's through the lens, in reality this is more sharp. Imagine.....:D
Below reverb g1 dcs for the comparison. :D
I think the jump is from 720p to a 1080p. By the way 4k is miles ahead...probarbly 5 to 10 years. There is simple no videocard who can pull it. :D
I am happy with my HP reverb G1, but G2 is way better in my opinion. I started with the oculus CV1 big steps in VR are made.
-
Hopefully you are correct. Just looking at the past products, it seems unlikely that Nvidia would put out a cheaper price. Seeing how every year since the 1080ti the prices have gone up and performance hasn't been equal in ratio.
Never, Jensen is agressive. He put on 1200 bucks and the custom cards are round 1500. My bet! No worries i've saved money for this battle of titans. :D
