  1. Hi Reflected, since the last update it isn't possible to start the Big Show Campaign as right at the start there is an aircraft parked on the taxiway in front of a shed. As soon as the mission starts a vehicle drives directly into this aircraft and explodes blocking the taxiway. So I can taxi around it but the all the AI are stopped so the mission cannot advance. Hope you can help, Thanks Ibis.
  2. Thank you stuartaston I will check that out. cheers Worked, thanks.
  3. I am going to purchase the carrier but I wish to know my status at the eshop and number of miles that I have accumulated. Can someone tell me how to do that. I have searched extensively but can't find how it is done. Thanks in advance Ibis
  4. Thank you Art and Terry. All is now clear cheers.
  5. I have no drop tank or bombs in the load out editor nor can can I get one through the ground crew, there is simply none there. I have cleaned, repaired, updated and searched but can't find the answer. Anyone know or had a similar problem. thanks. Ibis.
  6. Thank you Chapa for your info and advice as well as the info that you have given others. I need all the help I can get, new to VR and struggling a bit. Cheers, Ibis
  7. No USB output on Gigabyte GeForce RTX 2080 Super Windforce OC 8G Graphics Card that I have just ordered, is this going to cause trouble with my Rift-S ? or should I cancel and buy a different card. I got this one at a good price.
  8. For the "breakout from Normandy" it can only be the Typhoon. It was absolutely pivotal in the destruction of supply lines and reinforcements so that the foothold then the advance could be maintained.
  9. Sephroth, Sorry I'm so late with this thank you for your info. Thank you, Ibis
  10. I have probably 80 % of all modules including WW2 modules. This is a great simulation, awe inspiring aircraft and a fantastic world to fly in. Ok a lot haven’t been finished and there are bugs and some other problems. The big “but” for me though is that there is no war for all these great planes just a lovely empty world. I have bought many modules and won’t buy more until I have a war in which to fly them. “Storm of War” use to have a server running a 24/7 war for Cliffs of Dover and we need something similar for DCS. A single player or a squad could make a contribution to the war effort at any time no matter your time zone. Whether it would be feasible for DCS to run such a server I wouldn’t know but that server attracted a lot of players. Just my thoughts on what is missing from this great simulation of war planes and that’s all it is at this time a simulation of war planes and a world to fly in. cheers Ibis
  11. What and where is your XMP profile? thanks.
  12. Yes a great idea, I had thought it would be great if without having to buy and extra licence that a friend could sit in the back seat even without the ability to touch anything. Imagine the potential for more F14 sales and more DCS devotees.
  13. A truly wonderful module, first class just as the Viggen. Here is something that I stumbled upon, definitely worth watching. A great talk and video presentation of the design and evolution of the F14 Tomcat.
  14. Tracks don't work for the Viggen either, it usually doesn't make it to the runway.
  15. Purely an interceptor not a dog fighter. Designed to get high fast to intercept Russian bombers. Cold war protector of the Realm. I love it but not a good fit for D.C.S. unless there's Bears in the air. The only fighter at the time that could catch the Concord in level flight. I have read where it has climbed to a height of 80,000" and had a phenomenal rate of climb.'
  16. Just take a Viggen with RB15F
  17. It's great aircraft once you get the hang of it. It uses symbols which reduces the clutter on the HUD found on other later fighters. Once learned it's a lot easier to understand than the clutter. Just my opinion of coarse. Have fun.
  18. Being Tomcat enthusiasts you may have already seen this you tube video of a Tomcat pilot reliving his time as navel pilot while walking around and sitting in an F14. If not I highly recommend clicking on the link below. “ Behind the Wings” One comment: "That was the most vividly terrifying and stressful descriptions of carrier landings I've ever heard. Absolutely loved it".
  19. Carried similar payload to Berlin as a B17 Was 100mph faster than a B17 at 400mph. Twin Merlins, what more could you want? Carrier landings Mosquito
  20. That's not a whistle This is a whistle.
