  1. Even after disabling motion smoothing the problem persists. I guess it might have something to do with my windows installation. I'll try a fresh install soon.
  2. I've had this issue since December 2020 (When I bought my RX6800). Has anyone found a fix?
  3. Same issue here, thought I was going blind. RX6800, Odyssey+ @ 250% SS
  4. Can confirm stuttering on Navi2 cards is gone after latest drivers.
  5. Just trying to inform everyone that has these cards. Current AMD drivers for 6800/6800XT/6900XT have a performance bug in VR as well as issues with motion reprojection. Downgrading SteamVR to 1.10.20 and WMRforSteamVR to the march 20 build fixes the stuttering issue and reprojection works better, although it still drops to 30fps sometimes, but without stuttering. If you need help with it, let me know, as the tutorials are scarce.
  6. Just downgrade SteamVR and WMR until AMD launches a driver update. I've reported this issue in December and they only answered me 2 weeks ago and told me to wait for a driver update as engineers are working on it.
  7. May I ask, what is your gpu? You can downgrade SteamVR to 1.10.20 and WMR for SteamVR to the march 2020 build and turn dx11 off. For some reason when I enable dx 11, DCS World is very blurry compared to when it's turned off.
  8. The issue isn't your gpu. There is a bug related to motion reprojection on the latest steamvr/wmr steam releases.
  9. Try this: Posted Saturday at 01:11 PM POSSIBLE FIX - It has partially worked for me. I have downgraded SteamVR to version 1.10.20 as well as WindowsMixedReality for SteamVR to the 20 March 2020 version. It solves the green/red graph spiking stuttering issues but performance is still worse when the game window has focus. At least DCS is now playable with forced motionvector. If you want to downgrade as well you are going to need to either use CheatEngine to re-enable steam's manifest patcher by patching some memory addresses or search github for fifty-six/zig.SteamManifestPatcher. After you do that you can manually download the depots for both SteamVR and Mixed Reality Driver and replace the files.

  11. Doesn't work. It's been 2 months since people are reporting issues with the latest videocards by Nvidia and AMD. I'm running an RX 6800 but there are identical reports of people running RX 6800 XT's. RX 6900's and 3000 series RTX cards. I've tried every single released driver so far and the problem still persists. I have also done a full fresh Windows 10 20H2 reinstall and DDU'ed every single driver change. Tried both Beta and Non-Beta versions of WMR for SteamVR and SteamVR. Issue 1: If you force MotionVector to ON in WMR settings, it locks the framerate to 30fps instead of 45 even though frametimes are as low as 15ms. There are occasions that instead of 30fps, motion reprojection instead locks itself to 60fps when set to AUTO. Both scenarios cause terrible stutters/judder. While that happens, SteamVR's graph bounces between GREEN and RED GPU frametime lines. Issue 2: There's major performance degradation and stutters if the game window has focus. SteamVR's graph keeps bouncing between GREEN and RED GPU graphs. CPU frametimes are constant and have no issues. Whenever you alt-tab the stutters stop and reprojection goes back to 45fps. These issues happened in all games that I have tested, including: Elite Dangerous, DCS World, IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Stalingrad and Star Wars Squadrons.
  12. The exact same issue is happening with people running RX 6800's with Windows Mixed Reality. Now I don't know if it's a WMR bug or a driver issue.
  13. I have the exact same issues with my RX 6800 and Windows Mixed Reality.
  14. Does anyone else have the same issue running an RX 6800? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zNMCWVB0Uu8&feature=youtu.be
  15. I just hope we get a fix real soon, because I`m already considering returning this pos card.
  16. Did you notice blurrier overall image compared to forcedx11mode off?
  17. Now I know for sure it's something wrong with SteamVR because I got the same locked 60fps behavior in IL-2. Also if I focus on a different window the stuttering stops.
  18. I tried that but the image is considerably blurrier with cpu-based reprojection. When the game is out of focus I don't get the constant "red" and "green" spikes on steamvr's graph and the game is considerably smooother. An interesting find is that with 250% steamvr ss and msaa turned off reprojection works fine, but then if I turn it on, it gets bugged again.
  19. Whenever the game fluctuates above 45 fps, it seems to lock itself to 60 fps and then the stutters begin.
  20. Apparently with force dx11 enabled I don't get the reprojection bug, but the image is considerably blurrier. Edit: So, after doing some reading I might have figured out what's the issue. When you force dx11 mode to "off" it uses a gpu-based reprojection, so I guess AMD's drivers are bugged whenever steamvr wants reprojection. Weird part though, I didn't have any issues with Star Wars Squadrons, reprojection there worked fine.
  21. This is what it looks like on my end. Whenever the game locks itself to 60fps for some reason it gets "stuttery" (Like when I turn my head around or do a roll the game just isn't fluid). How do I force dx11 on steamvr?
  22. Yes, I used DDU when switching from my old 1070, but not when switching between AMD drivers. Did that work for you?
