  1. Yesterday we paid our tributes to the recent loss of two aviators who will be missed by the aerobatic community around the world. We present this short flight in memory of Jeff Kuss and Sergei Eremenko. Blue skies gentlemen. - Limitless Aerobatics Team X1VGH3K2cYs
  2. Thanks! Iteration 2 of the plane is done and the texture templates are all there and complete. However, it's not for full public release at this moment. We are still considering what to do with our mod after this year's virtual aerobatic season. Cheers!
  3. Thank you sir! Planning on finishing the model, textures and DCS integration in around two weeks. Also started a project working on a custom FM =) Here are some new WIP shots of the progress so far: Cheers!
  4. Update - Hey guys, we're now in the final phase of getting the plane ready for the virtual aerobatics 2016 display season. John "Limitless" Doe is ready for integration and all animations (gear, flaps, speedbrake, slats, ailerons, elevator, strut compressions, etc, etc...) are done. Many parts have been reworked and overhauled since the previously DCS integrated version. Here are some WIP images of the current progress:
  5. Hey guys, work on the gear, ejection seat and pilot is coming along well. The canopy brace has also been remodeled to be more round. Here are some progress pictures:
  6. Yes, we have just enlisted a dedicated modeler to the team who will work on the internal cockpit, more images will follow =)
  7. Hi guys, the bump map is done and we're working on some initial texture ideas now. Excited to see it all coming together and a big thanks to `Wine' for his work on the textures!
  8. Here are a couple of ingame M346 DCS 1.5 screenshots. Model and textures are still in full development, enjoy!
  9. It's still an exterior cockpit only, we fly with the F-15 pit for now. But we just have enlisted a new modeler in the team who will work on the internal cockpit.
  10. Thank you, it's really a lot of work, but also very rewarding to see the result =)
  11. Counting rivets, working on the bump map now. This is a quick screenie from the ED model viewer
  12. We are proud to announce that the M-346 has successfully been imported into DCS 1.5 (and 2.0). Texturing is in full swing at this moment. As soon as we have a basic texture I'll post some close-up in-game screenshots!
  13. New years update: The model has been progressing steadily the past couple of months. The basic animations are done and we're now in the process of texturing and importing an initial version into DCS 1.5. Stay tuned for more information and pictures in the near future!
  14. Thanks Bourrinopathe, look forward to see most of those functions appear in the app =) So... I successfully built a generic tiling system that cuts larger images up into sub-images that are equal to or smaller than the maximum GLES 2.0 texture size in your Android device... Just to find out that my device already throws an out of VRAM exception with two max-size tiles... The tiling system will be implemented in the next version, but the max number of tiles is set to 1 =( 4096x4096 will remain the maximum supported image size. Larger images will be omitted by my file selector algorithm.
  15. Hi Bourrinopathe, Thanks for the feedback, some very useful ideas there! My thoughts: - swipe left/right for previous/next kb picture (current previous/next buttons are small for quick access/control) That's the first thing on my list. Change the navigation logic and get rid of the ugly Actionbar and buttons. I was thinking of a swiping interaction as well. - restrict the zoom out view to the 1:1 depending on the device Will do that, I'll also limit the movement of the image to the edge of the screen when zoomed in. - allow double tap zoom (default to 200%?) and double tap to return to the default zoom (100%) - "double tap zoom" centers the zoomed picture on the last tap position (x,y) This sounds like a neat idea, I'll try it out to see how it works in practice - on-the-fly bookmarks (like the DCS kneeboard function)? Do you mean starting at the last chosen page when exiting and entering a folder? Should be easy enough to implement =) - jumplists? (I'm thinking about common (or kb specific) references you would want to display (canals and radio frequencies, mission objectives details/maps, any learning reference, etc.) Sounds interesting, how would you see this work in practice? - bigger kneeboard icon (faster visual selection) (tile/grid) with title overlay? I'm planning to make the lay-out of the list selection device dependent. 96x96px is quite large on a phone, but small on a tablet, and vice versa. And a tile grid sounds like a good idea! Aaand... The app is very much in an alpha state right now, I didn't put much time in it yet (maybe a day and a half). You'll see the functionality growing steadily as work progresses. Cheers
  16. Development continues, more feature requests are welcome =)
  17. Hey Cibit, Thanks! The app currently only supports image formats and not pdf's. I'll look if there's an easy way to do an internal pdf to image conversion in the existing Android framework. If so, I'll definitely add this functionality! Would be cool if you could just drop a manual in a folder and browse through it in the app =) BTW, I found the image files of the charts somewhere under a 'kneeboard' folder in the DCS install directory. But if you have a bunch of pdf's and other files you can have a look at AlaskanGrizzly's great kneeboardbuilder with which you can very easily import and customize kneeboard pics and folders, Cheers!
  18. That's certainly possible and I'll try to get it in in the next update. I'll let it auto-rotate with your device, thanks! [EDIT] I read the message that you posted and removed ;) But I agree that it's best to make the rotation user selectable. I'm gonna fancify the app tonight and I'll have a look at it. Maybe not in the next update, but certainly soon after.
  19. That's strange, it should definitely work on that version. Did you add files to the DCSKneeboard folder on your device (as described in the app description)?
  20. Haha, ah well... The upgrade will probably be of use at some point =) [uPDATE] I'm gonna update the app soon so that you can also import images that are larger than the maximum texture size of your device (e.g., 4096x4096). That way you can for instance import Linos beacon map as a single image without having to manually split it up into multiple images. I'll keep you posted!
  21. FYI: I just updated the app in the App Store. It should now be Android API 15+ (4.03) compatible rather than the previous API 19 (4.4+).
  22. I'm planning to do some non-related programming stuff in IOS in a couple of months so I might port it at some point, but don't count on it. In any case, follow this thread to keep updated! And as for right now, I just shelled $25 to get an android developer account and I don't feel like shelling another $100 to get an Apple licence which 'allows' me, by Steve and Gods grace, to program for Apple devices. As you can hear I'm not really an Apple fanboy to be honest ;) My main focus now is to tweak the existing app and add extra functionality in the Android version. Any input and ideas are welcome!
  23. Okay guys, It's available in the app store! Thanks for the kind words! https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kneeboard&hl=en
