  1. at least you guys tried hard to help him... Seriously, you guys rock! Personally I wouldn't do anything to help a guy with this kind of attitude towards the sim.
  2. in 8 sorties, 2 kills and 6 bingo fuel. I guess the ai over here is kinda weird lol. I set the mig with a high level ai, 100% fuel and sabre with only 50%. Initial speed 400knots to both, same alt, h2h. From my experience, the f86 can outurn mig with ease but if you dont pay attention, sometimes it can match your turn for a very short time in a downward turn before a stall. Scissors are very good way to get an overshoot. Once the mig gives up on the scissors it accelerates and goes up. I've never could climb with the ai the same way some other guys did in the videos. Well, after my desperate attempt to get a shot just before hanging in the air I find myself in defensive again and then it just restarts, repeating over n over until I run out of fuel. Sad but fun! :)
  3. guys, why is there such a huge difference between autopilot enabled and disabled? Its really strange how it works, at least for me. Whenever Im cruising, trimmed n stuff, I get turbulence n the chopper doesnt fly perfectly level. Its always leaning a few degrees to one side then to the other. Dont get me wrong, it feels ok to me. What I dont like is how this behavior goes away when the autopilot is on.
  4. When I dont press altc I get the freelook cam with the mouse cursor... :( ahhhhhh! tx! damn you autopilot lol.
  5. This simply doesn't work for me. This is what Im doing here> Key 2 (gunner seat) Key m (flexible sight) pause trackir lalt + C. Then my mouse controls the freelook cam not the sight. Workarounds? Another thing, how do I fly the huey while being in the gunner seat? I managed to do this once or twice but I can't remember what I've done lol. If you train a lot, trackir aiming and flying as a gunner can be very effective.
  6. Good to hear that. Here where I live, a warthog costs about 1000 bucks so if I can't have someone bringing one to me, a diy stick will be my next one after this t16000m I have dies. I'm pretty clueless about how the ffb algorithms work but I can build everything else using arduino. I guess taking look at the g940 firmware would very helpful. Lets see if I can find it.
  7. is there any way to "transplant" the g940 ffb system to something like a diy stick?
  8. spotting is a b**ch... I have a crap 18" 4:3 monitor+crap video card. At least I have trackir. I was wondering how the f*** I was getting engaged from my 6 oc so often when I was in the DoW server(killer bees mission) but then I discovered the F10 key, hahaha. In other mission, even if theres more people playing, its hard to get some dogfighting going. I guess you should do your thing, go for some ground targets or patrol an area. If nobody shows, go play another thing.
  9. It may be a bit tricky but you will get it eventually. Before entering a df, you need to check how hot your airplane is and then plan ahead what kind of maneuvers you will do. For example, you cant get into an energy fight without any speed/altitude advantage if your plane is very hot. You wont be able to wep all the way up if needed, your engine will blow up in the first climb. Once you understand it you won't worry about it too much and will focus in other things. About trims, for me they work just the same. Look at the trim wheel in the cockpit while you fiddle with it, see if its moving correctly.
