Alright, you guys made that decision seem a lot easier than I was making it :doh: I was thinking not so much dual Throttles per se, but more so throttle + prop pitch or something along those lines. Still, you guys have me pretty convinced on trackir now!

Hey Everyone, My Birthday is coming up in a few weeks and after thinking about it for awhile I'm still torn on whether I want to get a warthog throttle or a trackir (Can't afford both). I'm currently using a T-flight hotas X for most games with Ch rudder pedals, and fighterstick for dcs. I use the T-flight X throttle when i use the fighterstick, so having an actual throttle would be really nice, Dual throttles would be really useful, plus i'd have no shortage of buttons and switches. On the other hand, The Trackir would free up my POV hatswitch, as well as having more uses in arma or even Kerbal Space program. I haven't been able to decide, and I know based on other posts that you guys speak highly of both things, so where should I start? Thanks! -Mtn98

I have a pair of CH pedals. They're cheaper than most others, i've only had them since christmas but have had no trouble with them so far. It seems that those of us who own FC3 as a pack can't use the wallpapers that the individual modules have, is there a simple way around this? I recently heard the F-15's theme song and fell in love with it! :thumbup: I thought I remembered some posts talking about it, But searching for them came up with nothing.

I have this issue with a CH fighterstick, but only when plugged into a USB 2.0 port. When I plug it into a 3.0 its smooth.

I think a Korean War map would make the most sense since we have the sabre and soon the MiG-15

I know this is an international forum, and i'm not sure how worldwide Boy Scouts is, but I just passed my Eagle scout board of review yesterday and I'm curious if any of you guys are Eagle scouts also!

I'm in the same position as you. A lot of people seem to use saitek stuff, but theres also a lot of bad things about them floating around the web. I personally have been looking at the CH line of stuff. Its affordable, lots of buttons and aparently they haven't changed the design in 20 years 'cause it works that well.

I'm looking into a CH fighterstick and rudder as a christmas present, but i won't be able to afford a throttle for a little while. Right. Now i'm using a thrustmaster T-flight hotas X, would I be able to use the throttle with the CH stick until i pick up a seperate throttle? Since the T-flight stick and throttle are connected by a wire i would need to put the stick to the side out of the way. Can I do this? Or can the game only use one hotas at a time? Thanks in advance!

Stupid question, but I haven't seen it asked before, will DCS 2 be an update to the current sim, or an entirely new release?

I guess theres no reason not to make a post here... I'll see if i can draw a hawk on my graphing calculator tomorow in math class! That should be interesting... Will it be a steam key for those of us that don't have standalone dcs? I didn't see that specified in the OP. EDIT: Woops. Its not even on Steam yet. That answers that question!

Alright! I think I'm almost done annoying you... I think I have everything set up, I'm still tweaking it but I can look around, although I have one last issue. I can't click any buttons in the P-51 cockpit.

Should these be placed somewhere in the dcs files? or onto my desktop or anywhere else? Thanks for the help.

I've been looking into facetracknoir for a few days now thinking about installing it. What kind of set up does it require? Is it simply download, start up dcs and enjoy or is there more to it?

When i add up the cost of my laptop, my t-flight hotas, and all the modules i've gotten (all bought on sale from steam) i've spent $1238.95. I'm hoping to get a better stick+throttle and track IR in the future. Man this is an expensive hobby I've gotten myself into! I need a job...:(:helpsmilie:
