  1. Trigger, I haven’t been able to find this reference among JIGGAwest’s posts. Could you more specific with the link? Cheers.
  2. Although not yet optimized for 2–D, I was able to achieve reasonable PointCTRL functionality with Track-ir. Since relocating my pit in a new home I have not yet installed PointCTRL. It requires a stationary overhead mount for the sensor as opposed to mounting it on a VR headset. The product designer/manufacturer, Miles, is very supportive but as indicated above struggles to keep up with demand for this outstanding product. Understandably, VR support is likely to prevail and 2-D friendly PointCTRL tweaks are unlikely in the foreseeable future.
  3. Hey bradmick, thanks for your time on various forums draggin us through the innards of the Apache. Been most helpful. I still struggle a bit with pin point landings, particularly during daytime, due to cockpit "walls" obscuring the ground view . I've played around with daytime PVNS but it is unreliable in my hands. If I just have to adapt my spatial awareness, then so be it. Was just wondering if you have any tips in this regard.
  4. So the Game X Trio 3090 was defective. It was thermal throttling at modest graphic loads and relatively low temps. Fortunately the EBay seller accepted the return. I replaced it with a used Strix 3090 and am very happy. Heaven Benchmarking is roughly 3 X higher than the 1080ti and 2 1/4 X greater than the defective 3090. Frame rates doubled in DCS. Hopefully this card holds up long enough for it to become otherwise obsolete. Thanks all for the advice.
  5. Thanks for rapid response. The hot spot and memory temps appear within normal limits. I believe my Adventum 3 case is well ventilated. CPU water cooled. I would consider repasting if I had more objective evidence of overheating. Same issue with UnderVolting, but guess it wouldnt hurt. I uninstalled old driver thru windows but did not use any driver uninstall utility. BTW, baseline 0.7310V. FWIW.
  6. UPDATE: So I switched out the 1080ti for for a used Game X Trio 3090. Not sure if this “used/new” card is cutting it. Running with MSI AB deactivated, I’m getting @ 35% more frames with limited testing in DCS. Heaven Benchmarking 3090/1080ti comparison: Score 1426/1106; FPS 56.6/43.9. I’m noticing that when in DCS or HB the GPU Clock starts out in 17-1800 range then quickly falls to 6-900. GPU temps hover in low 60s without any significant spiking. MemoryClock steady @ 1215. Any and all attempts at OC’ing with MSI AB result in decrease performance. I do notice when MSI AB Scanner is running that GPU Clocks do reach 17–1800s. Is this reasonable behavior (paired with i7-8700k) or a beat up used 3090. UPDATE 2: Okay, minutes after I submitted the update above I noticed that on GPU-Z the Performance Cap Reason is THERMAL. I didn’t consider that cuz I’m not seeing spikes in GPU temps. Could it be that Thermal Hot Spots are an issue?
  7. Thanks for the input. Just picked one up on eBay.
  8. Currently run i7-8700k / 1080ti / 1000w PS / 62” 4K display. Would a used 3090 be under appreciated by this CPU. Please consider that I don’t expect to grow old with this upgrade, and am prepared to re-rig down the line. Thanks for any thoughts.
  9. Most appropriate section for advice on computer upgrades? Thanks.
  10. Same behavior here. Just can't speak to the bug question.
  11. I use VoiceAttack to play a sound file when a switch or modifier is active. Most commonly, I’ll use tones of varying frequencies just loud enough to hear without being distracting. You can also use VoiceAttack to prevent accidental activation of multiple switches/modifiers If you have more than one programmed.
  12. My understanding is that the DCS Apache in its current state works as you describe relative to the FTR and S/CAS functionality. However, in the “real helicopter”, S/CAS functionality is not disabled by the FTR. I believe that this will be fixed in future patches.
  13. Already checked USB status. The linked article for wired device should resolve the prob. Will try it out soon. Thanks loads.
  14. Help requested. Long time KB Builder user. I tried to build a kneeboard for newly acquired AH-64D. KB Builder listed AH-64D under "aircraft" but it crashes each time i attempt to Create a group. A folder with the file name of the Group I attempt to create does, however, become listed in the Kneeboard Builder folder. When I add images to the AH-64D module the old fashion way through Saved Games using folder name AH-64D, it doesn't work. It does work if I name the folder AH-64D_BLK_II. Updated and reinstalled KBer, no luck. Any help appreciated.
  15. Have you checked out the “Auto Detent Lockout” options under SPECIAL tab?
  16. Shouldn’t the Radio/PTT button work for any of the radios SELECTED?
  17. I haven’t tried it yet but the free AntiMicro software apparently works well for OP’s issue according to users in 2 other threads in this category.
