Eaglewings, I now have two versions of DCS (thats a hell of a lot of hard drive space) on my hard drive. Can I get rid of one of those versions, and which one?

I finally got DCS in VR. However, I can not find the F-18 module and there is not an option to reinstall like in the 2D version. What can I do to install all modules I have purchases?

What Next? I now have both Mixed Reality and Steam running. I am asked about adding to my Steam library and a Product Activiation. What next? This is getting to be more complex than I thought and all this just to play DCS World. Note: so that I do not have to continue bothering you guys, is there a set of instruction to get DCS in VR to work. Or maybe I should just wait until there is a inexpensive VR headset that just requires plugin?

I have the X52 HOTAS. I want the zoom feature to be linked to the Throttle's zoom slider. What is the best/easiest way to link the two--should it be done with Saitek software or inside of DCS F18 programmable buttons. I am tire of using the keyboard "/" and "*."

Why is it the case that in some missions, back slash doesn't work or doesn't call up the communication radio. In my case III recovery mission, I need the carrier lights; but back slash does not call that radio up? In other missions, such at Carrier Take-Off, the radio options comes up every time with back slash.

Thanks Thank you both. I tried both your solutions and they worked. My system resolution was, in fact, different from my game settings. I changed the resolution so that they matched, then I ran the DCS fix. Again, thanks to both of you for your help.

I just reinstalled DCS A-10 and Flaming Cliff 3 modules after getting the serial numbers (my hard drive crashed and I put in a new one, then reinstalled DCS). Now when I go into the game, the pointer is off. To click a button, e.g. A/P, IFF, TCN, I must got above and to the left of that button to get it to work, and that is no where near the button. I can no longer move the pointer directly over what I want but rather a 1/4 of an inch to the top and left of the selection. I removed the two modules but I still get the same results--pointer being off. Is there a way to re-calibrate the mouse pointer? Or, is there another suggestion for my problem?

Hello Ladies and Gents; today my hard drive just stop working (it is 8 years old). I checked with Microsoft for over 2 hours, and the Tech said it is not a software problem; he suggested I take out the HD and bring it somewhere to have the data extracted, buy a new HD and start all over again--that is ok as long as I can extract the data from my data drive. Is there a site or file that someone can guide me to for total installation of DCS and all the mods I have purchased over the years? Thanks in advance. Note: I am retired and have a lot of time, which I used on DCS.

Choppy Graphics Hi Voight; you and Nealius seem to be my heroes this months. First, thanks for the tip; my mouse is now in full operation. I would like to ask either of you another question. I have Windows 10 pro, i7 2600K, 3.4 GHz, 16GB ram, Nvidia GForce GTX 980 Ti graphics card and my graphics, in DCS Steam VR, is not as fluid as in the non Steam VR mode. Is there a setting I need to make my game more smooth? Note: before I install VR, I would run DCS with everything maxed out and it ran smooth as silk (30 to 70 fps).

Nealius; thanks a lot. I just got into the cockpit of the F/A18C. This Sh*# looks so real. However, I have another question. I am inside the cockpit, but no controls work. The throttle, the stick, and the pointer (mouse) does not work at all. How do I get them to work? So I don't have to continue vexing you with these questions, maybe there is a set of instruction I can refer to--would you know of any? Note: whenever I start the program in Steam VR, it only loads the original DCS World, without the mods--F/A18, Persian Gulf map. But, when I open DCS from the Desktop window inside the Mix Reality Portal , I get all of the mods but no stick, throttle or mouse pointer. What is up with the Steam VR version.

Hello brothers and sisters; I have spent days and hours with the Odyssey Plus' setup:3 days I left my computer with the Windows Store, I bought a new USB 3.0 graphics card, got help from Samsung, spent 3 hours downloading from Steam VR, and now I finally get to the Steam VR page that says "DCS Steam Edition" and below that it says "Play." I click play and on the monitor, DCS loads up just like before. However, I get nothing on the Headset but the Mixed Reality Portal. Is there something else I must do to get DCS into the Odyssey's headset. Also, when I load DCS, none of the modules load: no F/A 18, no Persian Gulf only the original free stuff. What am I doing wrong. I really wanted to fly in VR, but the trouble and time I have encountered is very frustrating. I am about ready to return this VR set and get my $500.00 back; please, someone convince me not to do that.

Deck Population Hello my brothers and sisters; does anybody know just when DCS will give us the Populated Deck mod? I tried the foregoing to no avail--I am just not technologically savvy enough to figure out some of these things without step by step directions; and I do mean step by step. Thanks in advance.

I notice, about a few months ago, that there are many more included Missions for the F/A-18C. When I try a mission, with a carrier, I cannot find the carrier Tacan or ICLS freq. Is there one set Tacan or ICLS freq for all the carrier missions. If not, how can I find those freq. both before and after my particular carrier mission has started. Remember, I am talking about the Mission Tab from the opening screen and not the Mission Editor Tab.
