  1. People who keep moaning about 8 hr flights aernt thinking about this in the right context. Think something like Xplane which has global scenery with orthoxp photo terrain and buildings overtop would be great. Each mission builder now has the flexibility to create missions now ANYWHERE globally. Your squadron server could build training missions at a home station, as an example Elmendorf afb in Alaska. Squad nites on your server blasting around Mt Mckinely. Then you jump on say a 104th server who has built thier mission covering the Taiwan strait. The possibilities are endless. The only thing that would need to be tweaked would be time period appropriate terrain. Not a dealbreaker for me, but for some yes. For those who really want to, you could concievably create a ramp spawn at say Mcguire afb New Jersey and have a KC135 drag you to the combat zone to your hearts content. The argument of 30 players spread globally really would only apply to terrible mission builders.
  2. Expect my squad to have a dedicated server just for this. http://www.adversarypros.proboards.com
  3. Your loss on an iconic aircraft
  4. Once again explain how IRL attack pilots use zoom? From the several I know personally it amounts to looking out and using the mk1 eyeball not binos. Can you get that thru your thick skull? I can play that game too. By the way you can see fine without zooming at monitor resolution, you just need to a.look harder or b. know where to look.
  5. And you get insight to what RL pilot likely deals with. How many other aircraft do you see passing by your Delta flight from New York to LA?(If you like window seats) Probably not very many if they aren't creating contrails. But there out there passing you anywhere from 1-2k above and below. Those are large transport aircraft, imagine a fighter sized one nose on. And Dan Hampton was likely using them for a CAS environment in his F-16, completely different mission.
  6. Several suggestions.....No missiles viewed on forward observer, not realistic all. Make the players get their head out the big window in front of them to defend themselves instead of having GCI tell them a missile is inbound. (i'm guilty of doing this) Another option which might not be available in DCS' current state is to disable zoom in game. Make everyone view everything form normal point of view. I've never seen fighter pilots using binoculars to zoom in and gain tally. If you can find a real pilot with a mechanical eye that zooms in on targets then I'll rescind my recommendation.
  7. Is there anyway to keep captured/loss objective on the restarts as well, in essentially creating a continuous blue flag when no round is running? I'm assuming you could reset the map when someone looses all their airfelds and farps.
  8. Whats the plan with keeping this server up running the mission post completion. It's by far the most immersive server yet. I'd like to see this mission run continuously like the testing was before the round kicked off. Anyone else agree?
  9. Its a scientific fact that red pilots are superior. Examples: If I had red pilots for interns, we'd have the I-Car -Steve Jobs There is no star called a "blue giant"...its a " red giant" and the most conductive stars to human lifeare in the red color spectrum. -Pancho Villa Red Pilots have already been to Mars; that's why there are no signs of life. -Chuck Norris
  10. There is perfect use, we have good red gci who can use you.
  11. Turn that frustration into effort expended on bringing more red players in...... The reality is the red player is superior in every way....larger brain, larger biceps, cooler cars, better cocktails etc, duh better pilots too. All the blue capatalist pigs do is sip their lattes and surf the app store while we steal their women.
