  1. Well, if there are two us we might get someone interested in this :)

    SimFFB

Is there an updated version of simFFB or equivalent software somewhere? I recently made a MSFFB2 + CH Fighterstick hybrid and I'm having trouble getting the progressive trim function to work. It seems like you can only control it with the MSFFB2 POV hat, but that's not an option for me since I no longer have that. I only have the Fighterstick POV hat, but that wont work... I tried looking at the source code for simFFB but I'm in way over my head.:helpsmilie: The prop planes in DCS have great FF, but on some of the planes it sucks or is non-existant. I'd like some way to just use the Fighterstick POV hat to change the centering position for the Sidewinder i.e. get to work like in a real plane.
  3. Slightly off topic but this seems like the right place for this anyway. I attached a CH Fighterstick to my MSFFB2 and all is well except for one thing; using simFFB I can't get the "progressive trim" to work using the Fighterstick POV hat. Instantaneous trim works fine since you can configure the button but I guess the tool is hardcoded to use the sidewinder's pov hat... Is there a workaround somewhere or do I have to use my non-existant programming skills to try to solve this somehow? :)
  4. Yeah I get that these aren't really tutorials. I'm not going to destroy my main joystick, to which I've already attached my precious CH Fighterstick grip. Gonna go get my other MSFFB2 in two weeks for experimenting :)
  5. Thanks for the response. Still having some trouble understanding the clunky google translation... Especially: "And finally for today, part of the structure that caused the greatest difficulties, but has found a simple solution. This is how to get rid of the backlash in the axes of the gears. I had to drill a slot f2.5mm in landing gear shaft diameter 7mm. Next, cut the Greatest shaft length and cut in the resulting f2.5mm hole thread for M3 screw. The landing gear itself pressed into a hole two bearing outer f7mm and ext. f3mm but unnecessarily gouging gear slightly and for a long time does not have 7mm, then save gaskets AMG2N foil thickness 0.03mm - this foil for honeycomb MiG-29, a very good thing in everyday life :)between the bearing bushings as the two approached the ideal Gadget . All assembled and installed on the end of the Safety-nut - all clearances defeated:)" Drill a slot in landing gear shaft? Wat. I'm going to get a second MSFFB2 in a couple of weeks, so I'll sacrifice that one for some experiments. It would be nice to know exactly what kinds of bearings, tools and other misc. stuff you'll need for this mod.
  6. Has anyone done this mod? http://forum.il2sturmovik.ru/topic/2168-modernizaciya-msff2/ I don't know Russian but apparently it's about changing bearings in the gimbal. Is this worthwhile/doable. I'm looking to remove the slight play in my msffb2, where the FFB doesn't do anything (small 0,1mm in any direction).
