    DCS: WW1?

I have always had a soft spot for the WW1 era, If made by third parties, then that gives us more choice and options. As a consequence, this would increase the player base.
  2. Hi Everyone, Not sure if this is just limited to Amazon UK so may be worth checking in your region, but for those in the UK, Tail Gunner Kindle Edition by R. C. Rivaz is currently free. I have not read this myself, so cannot attest to the quality, but will give it a go in the next few days. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B01MAU8E7B/?tag=ho01f-21 Tail Gunner Synopsis: First published in 1943, this is the gripping story of one man's involvement in the RAF Bomber Command's fledgling offensive between August 1940 and December 1941. Dick Rivaz was tail gunner to Leonard Cheshire,
  3. Thanks as well from me - I wanted to post here rather than the main thread as I really do appreciate the fact you made this for a module you do not even have. I will give it a go when I get back home at the weekend :)
  4. As with any module, you have to think about the characteristics of that particular aircraft and what it is about the aircraft that attracts you. As an example, at one extreme, if you love to learn multiple systems, then the A-10C or Ka-50 are worth looking at. For me the Hawk is the antithesis of the A-10C - simple to get into, reduced systems but an absolute joy to fly. If I just want to do low level flying through valleys, the Hawk completely fits the bill. Of the modules I have, I always come back to the Hawk and have spent more time in her than any of the others :)
  5. Ahh the Oculus, I am envious now :) ED will have to focus on VR support more and more in the coming years as it becomes increasingly popular, so your suggestion will become even more pertinent then. I like the idea of more options wherever we can have them :)
  6. Hi Goblin, Totally understand where you are coming from. I used to have a pc that groaned everytime I put mirrors on. I am lucky enough to have been able to upgrade so it is not an issue for me anymore. What ED could do is put a tick option in the special options tab for a reduced mirror resolution but I cannot see it being done right now as there are so many other priorities and I am unsure how much effort it would take. But this is, as you say, a wishlist. I do wonder how many other people stay in silence and just deal with the issue and would actually love this to be implemented. I
  7. I can report all is good here :) Thanks for getting this resolved guys; your hard work is very much appreciated.
  8. Welcome Andy, Have fun and know that there will always be someone to help you out in the community - the depth of knowledge here is staggering :) Which module(s) are you going to be looking at first?
  9. Hi Bluelight, I cannot answer you directly as I did not take notice of that sale and the actual price. Whilst it is always a bit annoying to miss a sale, there are regular sales going on; there is one of some type or another every weekend at the moment (keep an eye on this thread http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=151478&page=4 ) We may not see that particular sale again anytime soon but there may be something else on offer that takes your fancy in the meantime.
  10. Hi Bluelight, "Can you buy steam modules and use them on the standalone version of DCS world using the cd-key? If so, does it only work from steam to standalone and not the other way around? (Meaning you can't use standalone codes to unlock steam modules?)" Yes - you are correct here. Check the second link on this forum post (lots of other great info in that post) http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=135765 Happy flying :)
  11. Thank you for the update. Glad to know it is pinned down and we will have a resolution :)
  12. Thanks for that Phantom, Reading this thread really has brought back some memories. I still have the box somewhere, believe it or not.
  13. My word@Coops - I played ACE to death when it came out. That brings back memories. As to the original post, my first flight sim experience was at school on a BBC Micro in the eighties. We were allowed to have a go until we crashed it. The kid before me knew what he was doing when he handed the keyboard over to me as I had about 5 seconds to pull the plane out of a nose dive. I did not succeed! I did play AH-64 on the Commodore 64 to death - that was probably my first proper flight sim along with ACE.
  14. For me it would be the Harrier Jump Jet Two seater variety. I see there is one for sale here: http://www.everettaero.com/harriert4.html Anyone got any spare change?
  15. Hi there, This has happened to me on a number of occasions so hopefully there is something here that can help. Running DCS world 2.0 with the Hawk.
