  1. Is there a new texture template available (I'm assuming it's different than the old A10C? -edit Disregard, just figured out, same skins, different folder works just fine! Really glad to see that we don't have to reproduce our work on a new template!
  2. Sorbus, I just ran across this, and I wanted to say THANK YOU!!! I have been using another version, its a little clunkier than this one. The ability to just throw a unit/group into the ME and be able to spawn it right up without having to go into the lua and add it is pretty amazing too! I've also been fighting with AI aircraft as the game master for my group lately, excited to be able to force them into a new orbit pattern without using the ridiculous CA pathing interface! Again, thank you for this amazing tool, its certainly going to make my life easier to give the boys a proper mi
  3. Here's another crash log if it helps anything.. I guess next step is removing the A4 and seeing if it's still a thing. dcs.log
  4. Agreed - as a game master for co-op campaign, this is highly frustrating. I can hide the units from everyone, but then I can't see them on my map either. I hope it's still WIP
  5. My crash isnt CTD per se- the game freezes and goes into Not responding No custom affinity for me, doubt Thomas is either, its a brand new CPU for him
  6. Here's one of mine - should have the same crash on it. Linked to GDrive because its too big for the forum. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DfkoNUCY2rvHMz6N379xgfNCS_udNqHh/view?usp=sharing
  7. Firstly, I'm not sure if this is a Syria issue or CA itself. We ran a 10 mission co-op multiplayer campaign on PG and it was never an issue. I'm only noticing it now since the Syria update as we've only played this map. AI aircraft at some point will stop being responsive to commands. They do seem to accept the initial new path, after you have assigned them the NEXT path command. It is hard to explain, but extremely frustrating as a game master. They also seem to run into the ground significantly more than they used to.
  8. I am hosting a multiplayer co-op campaign on Syria. We have found that it is fairly common to have a DCS CTD when you zoom in too far on the F10 map. I haven't done more testing with the different map types, but ALT is what we are all in when it happens. It's happened to more than a few of us, so its obviously not just my setup. I will attach a miz file if it helps. Operation Wildcat II M8_V002.miz
  9. I've been looking around the map and have run across many cool little military bases or outposts. Is there a comprehensive map somewhere of these things for mission makers or are we on our own to scour the map and find interesting stuff? I know lots of the larger ones have those helpful labels on the map, but many of the smaller ones do not. Also helpful to have the SAM foundation rings and whatnot.
  10. Is it an intended feature for neutral units to always show up for the reds and blues on tactical commander screen? I feel like neutral Coalition should be treated with the same fog of war/detection parameters as the opposing forces. It really ruins the surprise, intrigue of having unidentified units on the battlefield when the GCI can just say, yeah don't worry about that one, it's no threat, and seeing neutral units on the ground across the map.
  11. There is what looks like an unintentional gap in the road at N 34-07' 08" / E 38 45'53" and, because it's so remote, its about a 100 mile detour to get around it. See attached screenshot.
  12. Yea you're right, after hours of frustration I fired up a clean map and got it to work, leading me to the threat thing. There was an SA6 that was looking at them from max range, they were just causually turning off towards the next waypoint, from about where the IP would be, leading me to believe they were just ignorning the command. Got them to do what I wanted and not even get shot at by setting it to no defense. It would be pretty nice, as the game maseter to be able to get some kind of indication on what the AI is currently up to: navigating, attacking, defending, etc. especially
  13. Whole heatedly agree with this. Everytime I want to do something more than just plop a single AI in a mission to shoot at, I end up wanting to uninstall. I've just spent a few hours trying to get an AI F-16 to drop a couple bombs on a runway. I found one solution but it's less than ideal. There really needs to be a whole lot of hours spend on refining the ME and making it into something useful and approachable, since the game has literally no content without it.
  14. Agreed this needs to be a thing. I wish AI were just "smarter" in general. It should not be programmed to climb to 35,000 feet on full afterburner doing 200kt and 15 AOA when initiating an attack.
  15. This seriously needs to be changed if this game has any intention of having a Dynamic Campaign. I've literally spent the last 2+ hours trying to get an AI F-16 to drop bombs on a runway. I've tried: Runway Strike Pinpoint Ground Attack With all kinds of secondary options, including WW2 carpet bombing. The ONLY thing thats worked so far, is pinpoint strike with a GBU31 and very specifically from an altitude of 10,000. I was trying it at 2-3,000 and apparently thats too low, so he just aborts. I literally just want to drop 2 Mk84s on the runway, WHY IS THIS SO HARD!?! 99% of the
  16. I am a current FAA controller, former USAF at Holloman AFB (WSMR). The 250kt restriction is essentially waived for fighter aircraft. I can't point you towards it in writing, but I remember there was some document essentially saying its required for flight safety or some such. The T-38s were the most obvious offenders. Trying to sequence ILS with them and anything else is quite a hassle. The best example of the high speed exception is VR / IR routes (low level). Either that or it's just an unspoken rule that nobody really cares how fast you're going when you have a radar on your pl
  17. I'm noticing that the message "a new mark added" pops up for both coalitions when someone from one team adds a mark. This is distracting at best, and for the "zeus" spawning I'm doing for my squad mates, it is tipping them off that I'm over here doing something on the other side. There can't be a valid reason to show that message to the other team. Please make the message only show for the coalition it is meant for. Thank you.
  18. See attached image. Hangars with a back wall dont block light.
  19. Placing an AI on parking spot 21 at Al Dumayr and start from ramp, they will start airborne at the other end of the runway in a nose-dive and crash.
  20. Kindly bumping this to the top again. It's pretty laughable that an international airport that has large aircraft parking, can't accommodate anything larger than a fighter.
  21. In the mission Dawn Raiders (F16 Hormuz) The two tankers "arco" and "shell" have the same 1X tacan frequency, which causes you not being able to find either one by the tacan.
  22. Just running across this thread, bumping in hopes of a fix. Got a nicely camo'd up huey that looks great except it looks like someone used metallic paint on it.
  23. Yes, inside the liveries folder there are a few green camo versions and a plain grey, each of them has the screw details etc baked in. I'm currently getting by with painting on top of the grey skin, and using layer blending modes (overlay) so that the paint is a bit transparent and you can still see the details. I have a feeling this isn't how it's supposed to be done though.
  24. Can someone help me out please? I am new to repainting, but I've done one on the Mig-21, which was a nicely layered pain template, that I was able to paint on top of the base layer, but underneath all the other little details. I'm having a hard time on the Viggen skin because it seems the only layer with all the nice little fastener details, is a base layer. I'll attach an image to show what I mean. Basically, I want to add a desert camo scheme, but I'm painting on top of screw shadows and dirt, which erases or minimizes a lot of their detail. Is there another way I should be doing this
