Perhaps you could try to attach abris on the outer pylons, and then shoot high res maps on enemy LWS no ? :doh: To come back at the initial post : I yet tried to attach R-73, R-60 (not iglas cause i didn't find the ID) on the pylons of the Kamov. You cannot shoot them like this. You have to modify the category of the missile, getting it from IR to Laser guided weapon. Then it works, but it just has the same behaviour than a big shitty vikhr. So it's useless, you still have to lock the target with the Shkval, and considering that the main utility of an IR missile is that you just have to align the missile nose on the target, using the shkval to have a perfect lock doesn't have any sense. All of this without considering that changing the missile category isn't integrity check safe, and will change it for every airplane of the game (or manpad for the igla). An other possibility would be to code an IR system on the Kamov, but is it possible to make such thing as a modder ? That's the question. I see many 3rd party devs creating IR sensors on various aircrafts, Pat for the Gazelle, M2M for the 2K... But are the datas accessible by modders when finally released ? Nicolas

  5. Nope, currently the LWS has two mods, rangefinder and guiding alert. Check your manual ;) Then it doesn't always work, but for example, if you get fired a vikhr at you, you'll have both rangefinder and guiding alert. On another side, it's perfectly possible to treat threats at night. Just have to adjust the Shkval contrast and luminosity, and the Nightvision intensity. Sure it's not able to lock on a target, but you don't need it to fire a vikhr. For the canon, yep it's harder if the target is moving. There were so many versions of the Kamov, some even hadn't the Abris, and you can see on our version that it just was added, cause except with TGT points which use the Data-link system, you don't have any way to display WP from the PVI to the Abris, and there isn't any direct communication between both systems. So FLIR would be a great addition, but isn't a necessity...
  6. The modding is currently paused. I'll go back on it in April-May (stuuuuudiiiiiiies :p). For the roofing... Erf, didn't do it because finding the roofs on the distant lod, don't even know if it's possible, and don't even know if there is a distant lod for it. I'll give a look at it, it seems that Edge won't come so fast so... I will too rework and replace some buildings, like the 16 stairs double tower, which doesn't really match with the Caucasian background... Nicolas
  7. A trigger usable by radio, which would allow player to save the current position of the various unites and values of the various triggers in another file. It could even be a txt file or anything else, but convertible in a .miz file thanks to a tool. It would allow us to save our progression in very long missions, and possibly allow us to make a "dynamic 15h long campaign" with only one mission. Nicolas

With all the new city mods, Edge won't look so cool at the end ;) It would be interesting to make mods which complete each work, so we could finally release a complete city package ;) The next step could be trees and the standard roads, which look really ugly. On my side, the V2 will come in may, with 20 more buildings. Nicolas
  9. The standby/norm laser switch under the HSI won't change anything, it's used to work with two helicopters. First one shoots from combat distance in normal mod. Then pumps while the second one, placed 14-15 km away, begins an illumination sequence in standby mod and so is able to guide the missile to its target without needing the first helicopter to stay in the danger area. So no it won't change anything to use it in normal or standby mod alone. It's just for tactics in patrol.

  11. Just have a look at your inputs. It often happens that an update disables some inputs. IMO it's the most obvious solution. Then if it's not, sorry but I don't have any other idea, good luck :( Nicolas

Quand même t'as du temps à tuer toi, si tu peux me tenir informé en Français (à moins que tu ne sois un british en terre Sudiste :p ) via mp, ça m'intéresse, je t'avoue que je parle pas assez bien anglais pour bien piger ce que t'as fait ;) I currently can't spend time on the v2 of the mod, let's say that it's in pause (Student = studies = exams = graduate or get out ;) ). I let you have fun with the current version, the program I gave 2 or 3 pages before will probably be completed until May, with perhaps one or two pre-updates adding some few buildings between this date and now. Just to do not make the "two more weeks" guy, i prefer to stay large for the delays ;) ++ Nicolas

  15. Edge is supposed to fix the current issue met with the multi-crew system. So it may be possible to make a F-14 with both pilot and copilot. Having seen their work on the mig-21, which is considered by some as the the most accurate module (graphically it's true), I think we can trust Leatherneck for this one ;). Nicolas
  16. Ah okay, then anyway the korpus_b is on the list of the futures buildings which will be retextured for february... So don't spend time at touching it, it'll be reworked anyway... Edit : just had a look at this one, it's precisly the first of my list ;)
  17. Mmmh, For the first video it's probably because of a parameter in the .lua, but independent of the mod, i'll have a look at it this week end, it shouldn't be too hard to solve it... For the second one, I don't know, I didn't notice such problem on my config, and the concerned buildings weren't even retextured. Are you sure it doesn't appear without the mod ? And is it limited to the external view or is that the same in a cockpit ? edit : the first one one is for sure a .Lua issue, cause there aren't any kind of texture transition from this distance, try to modify the line 57 and switch it to 20 000, again I can't look at it during the week, cause I'm in my Studie's apartment, without the PC ;).

Just a question, concerning the bridges and perhaps some currents and futurs buildings (I'm thinking to the bridges for example), do you think that adding some graffitis, with parsimony, could add some more authenticity ? Or would it be preferable to keep some "blank" textures ? I know it should be up to me to decide this, but, you are numerous to download and use this mod, so I need your opinion ;) Nicolas
  20. Wow, to be perfectly honest, I just modified those lines cause there was written "near" something, and that with those parameters, it worked nicely... I'll try to answer your questions this week-end, cause i don't have my PC this week, just a Mac without DCS and notepad++ Or just paste me on this thread the concerned lines. Nicolas
  21. Nope you understood it wrong, it's 3500 and 3000 for the lines, not 5 and 5, or didn't I understand ?
