  1. Loks like I will have to have another go, just getting a bit frustrated. I have the patch, so it must be me then, will keep trying. I have just wondered if the brakes are left on and stopping the roll.
  2. Landing off of runway or hard surface completly ruins this sim. Any movement whilst landing on grass makes it tip over no matter how carefull you are. This has been mentioned awhile ago, totally un-realistic, too sensitive needs to be changed, helicopters do land on rough ground, they do in the UK anyway with or without tarmac.
  3. I agree the sim is rediculously sensitive not realistic at all there. I thought they would have changed that in the patch. Anthony
  4. Why when trying to taxi off runway or trying to land on grass, the helo stops dead like it has hit a wall and is glued to the ground. Brakes are off and speed is about 2knots forward, shakes and toples over and blows up. Is this a bug, as you know Helo's can land off concrete or solid surface. Anthony
  5. That's exactly what I am getting, but it's not using online, only single play when I create a basic traing mission without wind, and anything else going on. Sometimes if you try and taxi off concrete onto grass very slowly, the same effect happens. Like getting glued to the grass or in a pothole. Anthony
  6. I have not tried to trim before I lift, all I do is push the cyclic forward a bit as I do on lifting from concrete to stop the sudden tilt back on lift off. So am I must be doing it wrong then. Should I before lifting, push the cyclic forward a bit, trim at that position and then lift. Anthony
  7. I manage to land ok, on flat fields etc. Problem is that when taking off the helo seems to topple over all the time. Is there a bug with the crash detection or something as this should not be so sensitive as this being a helocopter can land on ground other than airfields and pads providing it's solid enough. As soon as the collective is raised normal takeoff it happens, or should I yank the collective up quick to make it shoot up like a rocket. Anthony
  8. You have the same understanding as me, and the same questions. I was wondering about the Flight Director as well, not sure how you would follow the waypoints created in the Abris, so perhaps someone could explain this please. Anthony
  9. Thanks both, I missed that bit about them not being linked.... Thanks Anthony
  10. If I make a route in the mission editor, the autopilot follows it fine. I followed the manual regarding adding waypoints in the ABRIS, but I find that the autopilot will not follow the route as it does in the one created in the mission editor. The only thing is that if I select airport in the 800 it will then turn and go there, so am I setting the individual waypoint wrong, or missing a switch somewhere. Autostart is used not cold, so I thought that everything would be on. Anthony
  11. Yes that is what I should have said, spins around but does not follow the heading. Anthony
  12. No, that does not work, I tried that from the start. I don't think the function even works so wondering why the heading bug is even there. Anthony
  13. I have been trying to use the "Desired heading" on the HSI. I have clicked the DH/DTA source switch to manual so I can set the Desired heading (DH) index to a bearing that I want. Does the autopilot follow this course on autopilot like in a light aircraft (fs2004 etc). I have read through the function of the HSI pages 2.17 on, and through the autopilot section without any luck. Am I getting the wrong idea about this for just flying at a set course, I am not setting any waypoints in a flight plan. All I want to do is let the autopilot follow the set course on the "Desired heading" that I have set. Could someone put me right on how to do this, if it is possible to do. Thanks Anthony
  14. I usd to do this with fs2004, the only problem I had was remembering what each key does. I used to have diagrams of the sticks and label each switch then printout. I will have to have a look around or take a photo of them, I now see your point :) Anthony
  15. They removed the graphical interface in one version and people complained about it, they have put it back in now after a number of versions without it. I suppose driver has benn updated as well. Anthony
  16. Thanks both for what you say, makes sense. Thanks Anthony
  17. I need some advice as whether it's best to use the in-game joystick setup or use the Saitek Profile editor. I have installed the latest improved Saitek beta software which is an improvement on their earlier versions. At the moment using the in-game setup. Thanks for any suggestions on this Anthony
  18. That did it, I missed that, thanks for the quick reply  Anthony
  19. I have managed to assign the stick as the collective but it looks like it is only using half of the range. I have inverted the setting so when I pull back the collective increases. Problem is that when I pull back, nothing happens until it gets halfway through the travel, looking at it in the cockpit confirms this. Deadzone is set to zero etc and I am not using the Saitek profile manager just the in game settings. It looks like it is being treated as a standard stick centralized. If anyone could help me get the full travel to work would be a help. Thanks Anthony
  20. I just told you John on phone :megalol: Tony
  21. Yes I downloaded them and they are excellent  , I emailed Ironhand and told him as well. I hope some more are done in the video format and tracks. Anthony (UK)
  22. Thanks both reply's. I will do it then :) Anthony (UK)
  23. I have just started using Lock-on. I have been looking at the Flaming Cliffs download page, should I get to grips with the Lock-on before buying the Flaming Cliffs add-on ? Thanks Anthony (UK)
