    What we really need is hand tracking (Leap Motion) or tracked gloves.

     

    There's a huge number of us who aren't about to give up our HOTAS etc. to use VR hand controllers instead. We need a solution that lets us naturally transition from hands on the controls, to flipping imaginary switches.

     

    It seems so obvious that I don't understand why it hasn't been fully realized yet, except for FlyInside for civil sims.

     

    Captogloves for DCS were looking really promising, but then they went dark on the topic about a year ago as near as I can tell. I emailed them and never got a reply.

    The problem is not with the course line. The problem is that it is impossible to engage the TACAN code. I have tried in closer airports and the same. I play with oculus, dont know if this affects

    Hi. I put proper TACAN code/channel (I search it on the airports information in the map, or in the HSI-DATA-UFP). I only play in Caucasus and in single player most of the time. For exemple, yesterday I tried to do a night flight to Batumi from Maykop-Khanskaya and it was impossible to activate the TACAN channel (I think it is 16x).

    Quite often it is impossible for me to tunn a TACAN radial, because I do it properly (TACAN ON, clear, TACAN radial and intro, and then TACAN boxed in HSI) but nothing appears in my HSI, only a crazy circle movement of cursor along the 360º scale, what am I doing wrong?

    I am guessing you may not have properly turn to airfield tower on your radio channel and no clearance was given.

    I do not know if it is modeled in dcs, in a war scenario, proper ID of aircraft inbound and clearance is required to get the runway light to come on.

    Seems you are right, and my problem is with the radio. Sorry for my noob question but could somebody explain me how to do it properly? I think that I dont know how to use the radios at all. When I put a frequenze manually (M, frequency and then intro) It seems not to work, because allways sounds noise and it changes automatically the frequenze that was before.

    Runways without lights

    From Batumi to Vaziani, and turning back. About 20:30 - 21-30h, spring session. At first it was sunset, later all dark. Non of all 3 airports near Vaziani had their runways lights on, and nor Batumi when I returned.

     

    I had problems with TACAN too, so I put the runway of the airports as waypoints, and set the curse line as runway orientation, but too difficult without runway lights... And it was worse because I fly with oculus rift, so not too much resolution at all.

    Hi. Yesterday I did a night fight in Caucasus and non of the airports had the lights on in their runways. Only turned on when I touched down. Before I inforned the airports that I was going to, but didn t hace responses. What am I doing wrong? Thanks
