Thanks,I thought they were ready aircraft skins to install that were made available by DCS for DL. I guess they are something else.What are they for then?

They didn't appear in the Mission Builder Liveries for Russia in this case. Yak52_Main_TEMPLATE Yak52_Gear_TEMPLATE Located @ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/texture_templates/ These are from DCS.

How would I install the Texture templates for various aircraft that are available to DL on the DCS website?

I have not been able to get it to show up any which way except for the Editor work around in the NS430 thread.

I am in beta version (latest) so sad that it's seems so troublesome to get it working (found the editor link in NS430 thread). It should work as advertised like the DCS: Mi-8MTV2 Magnificent Eight (works out of the box). L-39 great plane crapy integration of the NS430. Hope they make it easier in a future patch.

I've just purchased built in NS430 in the L-39 and trying to have the NS430 appear. Checked: *L-39 in Options>Special shows I have the version installed *Options>Special>Preferences>L-39 >Gunsight Dismounted *Both civilian and military versions continue to show the gunsight mounted (front and rear seat pilots both) Did I miss something?

I updated to OB and installed F-16. Now what is the difference of staying always in OB or standard and how do I get back to standard if I decide to switch back?

I know access is only OB now.My question is about how long is ETA to regular version?

Never played the OB before only regular how do I do that with non Steam version. Also never used the CMD in DCS. Sorry old timer.

Sorry if this is an easy question but do I have to some how switch over to OB to paly the F-16 or is it available sometime today on the established build?

Will the F-16 be available as a regular download on Oct.3rd or only if we change over to the beta version of DCS? From Stormbirds: "For fans of the jet, if you want first access, you’ll need to switch your DCS World install to open beta. That requires a little trickery when you have the store version (Steam version is far easier) but once done you’ll convert your DCS World install over and you’ll get the very latest."

Carmack talked about the Quest's limitations very briefly maybe totaling under a minute. It was clear that Oculus Link 6 was facebook's hpye train that day. I don't disagree that the Quest Link will not be as good as the Rift S for especially for flight sims even though Oculus is painting the picture that the Quest will be a Rift clone on Steam VR which I totally disagree with that ever being possible since the Rift S is directly attached to the display port on the video card.

How much of it is hype and how much is real remains to be seen. I seriously doubt that the usb connection (fiber optical or whatever) will have the power of a Rift S (or other dedicated PC VR) direct connection to a powerful video card. It make absoultly no sense. What you might get is a watered down version through the Quest on PC with less clarity, pixels, more issues when the big PC games push the movement, pixels, resolution and frame rates around at fast speeds. The Quest on the PC playing demanding PC games and not andriod port overs is still unknown.

I just don't understand how it could be even possible to have the same results in faster moving PC games with the new usb Quest Link as the Rift S being attached to the display port directly on the video card.

New to the VR side of things and was wondering if alot of people use the flight stick (joystick) and throttle if the aircraft has one that responds to the touch controller's grip on the stick making a joystick/throttle setup unnecessary. Or does it really? I tend to prefer a regular joystick control since it seems more fine tuned and natural while the built in VR stick/throttle control seems over sensitive with oversteering.

Here is a twist for you just called my optometrist office where I got my glasses and asked for my PD (pupil distance) and they gave my my number for reading AND distance which are different. Which does Oculus Rift S have a setting for?

Ok so the internet is full of people saying how great the text clarity is in the new Oculus Rift S. Is there a setting other than physically moving the headset around? Also how the heck do you know when your IPD I don't know what I am supposed to be looking for.

I got my Rift S and to be honest so far not that impressed because of how few sims there are out that actually work out of the box with just the updates and with VR support.

I don't know what I am going to do with this thing nothing but problems except in DCS. Steam is a nightmare to get things to work properly.Wearing glasses is a constant constant hassle not wanting to scratch the lenses since none of my 5 pairs fall in the recomended length of frames...really? The only games that are worth it so far for me are Elite Dangerous and DCS. Doesn't seem woth the price today. Give it a couple more days.
