  1. As a pilot I rarely get off the pit during my flying time (being an airborne ranger is totally a different story), so knowing the airports is part of the pre-take-off-briefing, is not it? Know some geo (like the ground pounders do).
  2. The Su-25 does not have any systems like this. Targets are visually aquired. You can lock the target for YP (guided missiles) using the LASER range finder in ground stabilized mode. AFAIK there is no way to transmit this information to other planes, since it's a LASER beam from the top of your aircraft not bound to any INS/GLOSSNAS or other geo-positioning system. This is why I love the Su-25: you need to learn navigation, learn attack patterns and visual aquirement and finally: talk to your wingman plus do a proper flight planing. Flying by the guts . :pilotfly:
  3. Although I do not completely understand your problem... :book: First, you need to add the Controls in Mission Editor. If you take active part as a JTAC you cannot control the whole group. You need to be Ground Forces Commander or Game Master. If you are in "First Person" in the vehicle keep "G" pressed to show a green arrow that directs the whole group, if case you are Commander. Also you need to be in Comander Role to order other units. Not all units are steerable (e.g. multi-vehicle sam systems) not all units are moveable (e.g. fixed zu-23, Sam-installations "kub", EWRs).
  4. I'd do something in blender. Gimme a Su-25 cockpit and I'll do. Gimme some parts and Ill do the instrument itself.
  5. Make sure that having the main screen open, the CA-Symbol is not showing a "$" (to buy) symbol. If it does show, start Singleplayer and open a CA mission. If in F10 and selecting a ground vehicle designed to play jtac (single unit sams, SPAAA, HMVVEE, Tanks) a "tank" icon appears in top row left side. Simply click that to enter the "first person control" of that ground unit. HTH, Grunt Feedback appreciated.
  6. Take a look at the wiki: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Virtual_Squadrons_and_Regiments
  7. Dear community, I wondered lately if I can add some work to military ground gear. E.g. there are some German "cars" that I like to add as eyecandy. Later, when I understood the workflow, I can think of adding them to CA as playable. E.g. German: - Luchs (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luchs_%28Sp%C3%A4hpanzer%29) - Fennek JTAC! (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fennek_%28Sp%C3%A4hpanzer%29) - Dingo (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/ATF_Dingo) - Boxer (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/GTK_Boxer) - Wiesel Airborne operations! (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wiesel_%28Waffentr%C3%A4ger%29) - M113/Motar (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/M113_Panzerm%C3%B6rser_120mm) Also improving the search/track/aiming system for Gepard need much improvment. Why do I have to radars if I only receive optically in CA? For now I will take a look at the structure present.
  8. ATC gibt QFE (Schwelle = 0mtr/0ft).
  9. Wenn Du kein Englisch verstehst, schreibe mir ne Nachricht. Ansonsten einfach mal lesen: http://en.wiki.eagle.ru/wiki/Mission_Editor:_Weather_Modelling :book:
  10. Falcon, at no point I questioned this. It's rather the realistic cycle, the cockpit switch (threeway or cycle), the cycle (if any), the readout and the altered behaviour if starting from runway. In fact landing lights do extinguish when gear is retracted and the last state is reproduced when/after extending the landing gear. The main problem is, there is no readout in the cockpit to assure the lights' status w/o ext views which I refer to as a cheat.
  11. Correct me if I am wrong. I learned that planes take off clean unless heavy loaded. Operational standard for Su-25 is to take off with flaps in maneuver position (level 1) but not 2, as done by DCS at runway takeoff configuration.
  12. Hi! I found that the Su-25 (and T) operating cycle for Taxi/Landing lights is as follows: 1: Off 2: Lights near (Taxi) 3: Lights far (T/O and Landing) 4: Goto 1 When I do a "Takeoff from Runway" the ext lights are set to far (takeoff) position, but are switching to taxi, which is alterating after one cycle. Bug or feature? A "full cycle" would be: 1: Off 2: Taxi 3: T/O - Landing 4: Taxi 5: Goto 1 Since I would need the taxi after landing, would not I? In summation with having no readout I easily become a christmas-tree flying ground attacks. Whats the real deal?
  13. I wondered eversince there is a legal :smartass:way checking the state of your ext lights. In Su-25T you can at least sneak the wingtips.. but Su-25 inflight: no dice.:helpsmilie: Even in russian A/C an engineer would have installed some type of switch/feedback. Where is the switch anyways — behind the head? :joystick: I would even read through instructions to make it happen. :book:
