  1. I nominate: Chippie because he's my Flight Lead and converted from egg beater to fighter pilot
  2. a squad mate of mine had the same issue and found he had the same Key commands used in two places in his controller setup. Once he deleted the ones assigned to the throttle everything functioned normally. I guess the question is why did the update change it?
  3. It still appears to be more system related than mission if his friend can fly them without issues. There are just too many variable when it comes to extracting, Softth, driver issues. Hope he has success in locating the issue @Darkphox - I see you are running an R9 290. Is that the new AMD GPU? If so it still maybe more related to video driver infancy
  4. @Sithspawn - His signature shows 12G of ram
  5. If number 2 is the reason for the crashes then all that would mean is that TARS would be offline for those missions utilizing this script or a similar coded one. Definitely not a game stopper since this really is a well thought out and enjoyable mission Regards, AEF Cobra 161 SQN
  6. Keep in mind that this is DCS so anything can happen. Stability is still an issue due to what the mission builder has in the mission and unfortunately the bugs still left to resolve by ED. The main bottleneck in your system is your GPU but not to 1 FPS. Believe me when I say that people with a TITAN GPU (myself included) still experience these issues so the best you can do at this moment is to tweak your system in single player for your optimum performance and then whatever happens in MP is not a result of your system. 7. Just a continuation of the observations that Vulcan stated Wolle. We seemed to have experienced the flashing messages(no flashing messages on the host) when a client had a high ping (+900ms). We were unable to truly establish the root cause of the crashes as they were at random times but frequent. We tested your unchanged aircav mission with similar results. We were trying various versions of your mission including the june 15th version (which does not have the strafing task). I will go through the crash logs that I have and send you any pertinent information that could help you pinpoint the issue. As Vulcan stated this is a great piece of coding and really does add to the enjoyment of the Huey and can/will be of great importance to future mission builds. Thanks for all the effort and time you have put forth. Regards, AEF Cobra 161 SQN
  8. Attached are the screen captures of permissions for both system and myself. The current workaround is to load a mission , edit and then save. Then to continue to do anything I must delete the mission editor folder and I have the ability to open and save again. permissions.doc
  9. I appreciate the quick response. Unfortunately the ME still doesn't want to cooperate. Is it possible that an antivirus program such as Norton 360 could be causing the issue? I installed that 3 days ago. Thanks to both of you. The solution appears to be what Mustang suggested to do. We are back up and editing. NB. Spoke too soon. Works the first time then no save functions. As an Admin I am still not able to change the properties of the folder from read only. Uncheck it, apply says ok. Look at the properties again and they are read only....Confusing
  10. I am no longer able to open, save or save as a mission from the mission editor. I uninstalled and reinstalled everything and performed the update. Upon entering the ME the first time everything works. Subsequent changes and tries fail to allow any changes. The icons turn blue upon selection but that is all. Leaving the ME prompts to save but when clicking the yes button nothing happens. I saw one other unanswered post (probably in the wrong section of the forum) regarding this issue Regards, Cobra
  11. @Froogle - Unfortunately it appears you gave an opinion utilizing the Huey as you would an FSX model (flying from point A to point B). That is not where this amazing little product by Belsimtek shines. Take the time to download one of the Huey drop missions and take this baby for a real test spin (dropping troops off in a hot LZ). The enjoyment never ceases (especially in the MP environment). While I respect your opinion your review was somewhat weak into the capabilities of this study sim.
  12. turn off your adaptive vsync. Let your framerates go so you can see what your average rate is and then set it in the graphics.cfg Regards, Tom
  13. @Rider1 - I tested your jsmoke files in dragonshadow's Blindsided3 mission and what an improvement on the FPS during his intro bombardment of Batumi. As performance hits seem to be cumulative any instance addressed is well worth it especially to the CPU bottleneck ( in my particular case). I thank you for your commitment. Regards, Cobra
  14. @ENO - overclocking from 3.9Ghz to 4.2Ghz did provide a gain in testing of 16% so Overclocking any CPU is a benefit. My question is how is he managing to get 100% load on the TITAN. Regards, Cobra
  15. @TZEER-I really am not understanding how you are getting the TiTan to run @ 100%. The highest I can get it is about 81% and I am running a i7 980X overclocked to 4.2Ghz. So you are saying that the CPU is still holding the system back? What CPU are you currently running and at what clock speed? Regards, Cobra
  16. @TZEER - All of the testing you have performed has shown logical and conclusive results. I hope that the efforts you have put forth have not fallen upon deaf ears and that a resolution is in process. Or it could be that all good things will happen when EDGE is introduced. Regards, Tom
  17. Your issue is most likely do to the 32 bit windows operating system. You should move up to the 64 bit windows and that should resolve your crash issues. Regards, Tom
  18. @Ivank - It is a mission issue and not a DCS world issue. We have also experienced the same issue. Ours was a result of an AWACS being set to immortal and actually flying at a -10000 ft altitude due to its evasion maneuver
