  1. Thanks for the help guys! I uninstalled the old version, and installed the latest version. Now I'm working on downloading my modules. I was hoping for more of a quick fix... Oh well. Thanks again!
  2. It's been a while since I've last played any DCS and I'd like to get Lock On 3. However, I can't seem to be able to update the DCS World to the latest version. (I have the initial version plus a few updates 1.2.0 something) As I the title states, I have win 8 and there really isn't a "start menu" to access the DCS World suite of options where the Updater apparently is, I guess. Opening the game doesn't provide any update options or prompts to update. And I downloaded the FULL latest version hoping to be able to install over the 1.2 version I have... And it won't install it, since I have a previous version. I've spent a lot of time trying to figure this out. I've searched the Eagle Dynamics file for some sort of updater .exe, searched other places on my computer, searched this forum, posted in another thread... and I can't figure out how to do a simple update.
  3. Hmm... Can't get that to work... Looking in the Bin folder I do see .exe files for "DCS" and "launcher"... but nothing for update.
  4. Ok it's been a while since my last play and I've update to Win 8 in the process...... Does anyone know how do I get to the auto-update from Win 8? It doesn't have the same "start menu" and I have ver 1.2.0.... I checked the actual Eagle Dynamics game folder and didn't see any .exe files that looked like an update.
  5. Well I tried to delete everything and re-install.... same problem. Just so I say I did it, I re-downloaded everything deleted again then re-installed... yet again.... same problem! Even more frustrated now.... I don't understand why it won't work??? Why have a profile loader when it doesn't work??? Oh well, I guess the game it trying to tell me to move on to something else.. lol!
  6. Ok, that didn't work either...... So I need to delete and reinstall I guess -- When you say delete and re-install, I'm hoping you mean the Ka-50 module itself, and not the entire DCS World which took hours to download, lol... Thanks for your help again, it's really appreciated!
  7. Yes, I delted both modes and then reloded the profile within the game and it didn't work. I'll try deleting the entire config folder and see what happens.
  8. Thanks for the response! I tried deleting the config files for the Ka-50, but it's still not taking the profile I loaded. Everything appears to load correctly, and the commands are listed correctly in the control panel, but the buttons and hat switch don't work while in the sim itself. Should I try to delete the whole input file?
  9. I'm an old sim nut from the past where I played Falcon 3.0, Tornado, and Longbow... etc (a long time ago, I know.) Now that I have a pretty good PC, I'm getting back into sims. Anyways, I've downloaded a profile for my ultra cheap Extreme 3d pro and for some reason I can't get it to work. When I load the profile the button commands show up in the controls panel like they should, but when flying it's seems to revert to the default controls for my stick and nothing works according to the profile I loaded. I have track IR and I downloaded a profile that lets me slew the shkval with the hat button among many other things, but as I said when flying nothing works other than what I started with BEFORE I downloaded the profile. It's getting frustrating as I tried many things to get it working.... :joystick: I'm using the DCS World and have the A-10c, and Black Shark 2 modules ver 1.2.
