Tried autoupdater just now and again I am getting a hach mismatch error. :ranting: Early in the beginning of the download. This time I have disabled my AV which was the problem last time. Will try again later, if not luckily I downloaded the whole thing.

I'd probably get it. Since A-10C was my first venture into modern sims I was somethat turned off by the lack of fidelity (no clickable cockpit, no inherent 6 DOF, simplified radio, etc...). But, I'd rather see some other types released first - e.g. carrier ops and F-18.

Just try firing up the SP-US Company Day Advance - Kutasi mission. Those T-80Us are something else. 3 of them lying still in the vicinity of the near village (closest one East), any attempts to actually kill them with one group of 4 Abrams and another group of 4 Bradlys with TOW missles - ends up with all 8 of my units getting destroyed. I've tried to engage them myself, but since I can not see through a forest that stands in between friendly and enemy forces my attempts to kill those 3 pesky T-80Us were futile, every time I tried. Even flanking them is pointless as they are so effective even at the edge of their weapons range that it is just better to admire them from distance and don't even start the attack. In the end, I took up in A-10C and killed them the "old school way". I've only had CA for a week now and needles to say I am not at least impressed. I was expecting much more. Hopefully EDGE and Nevada will fix the long existing problems like AI seeing through threes etc. Right now, CA is just for show and better used for JTAC only (mind you, that area could use more work as well, i.e. like VHF FM radio interface added and control over AI A-10Cs).

At least thats a plus. :) In v1.1.1.1 I used to lose HRD when using alt-tab, now I get black buildings. Looking down into the pit and pausing the view before alt-tabing would have prevented the loss of HRD but there is no workaround for black buildings.

Black buildings in TGP as well. I've also been told that it happens only when alt-tabing. Lets hope they fix this in the next auto update.

Don't get me wrong, the overall FPS is close or almost as good as v1.1.1.1, just the effects are killing the fun occasionally. Both the black buildings and high rate of fire crashes (see post above yours for example), have been reported many times already.

Seconded. Major bug with 6288 is just that - effects: high rate of fire will crash the game, CBUs will kill FPS and it all looks worse than in 1.2.0 when IMHO they got it just right. Not to mention the black buildings in TGP.

Sadly, I too just encountered this bug ( v6288 ). Very easy to reproduce - fire a long burst and see how soon the game will crash on you. I have a feeling it has something to do with the new impact effects. CBU's kill my FPS for brief period every time there are lots of multiple explosions around. --- Specs: i5 2500k @ 4.5 GHz GTX 580 (driver version 301.42) 2x4 GB RAM game installed on SSD

Seconded. Especially the GAU-8 impact effects looked spot on to me. I dislike the new ones.

Best FPS ever with this version for me. No time to check on other stuff (blue smoke, CBU FPS kill bug, etc.). Mouse cursor bug long gone as well.

Disabling Kaspersky solved my update problem as well. I guess it had something to do with reimbursing my a activation.

In general it is good to have a backup, i.e. to keep your important files on the HDD. Even though SSDs have came a long way some of them are still known to crap out on you - and like yourself, most peple have 60 GB ones. What you're looking for is "mklink", the command that will essentially move all the folders and files you want to a new location and leave only "a shortcut" in place.
