  1. I honestly don't expect MAC to split the community much beyond it already is. I'd love it if someone from ED would chime in, but I believe ED honestly thinks MAC will expand there user base, as there are a lot of people who will fly FC modules but not FF ones. If ED designs MAC so you can import DCS missions and campaigns and even do mixed DCS / MAC servers things might be even better.

If the data isn't available to do a MAC module, then the whole discussion is moot and the real issue is what community mod do you wan't to download as they can get by with building a franken plane and saying it is due to lack of data. I voted other becuse my answer is any that can be done as FC an FC module but not as a FF module
  3. Where I'm at right now I'd just like to see some of the modules in the works come out, and to see Eagle focus on improving DCS core.
  4. If MAC is modular like DCS, then the odds of me buying anything would come down to whether it is possible to have said module in DCS
  5. Frankly I really don't care if we are getting the wrong variant for the Korean war. I'd rather have the right variant and the right livery but I'd settle for the wrong variant and right livery. that would be awesome. I'd also love to have Neil Armstrong's A-1.
  6. Civlian aircraft would be awesome, we do have some airliners as static objects at McCarran on the Vegas map. I don't think animating them would be too hard. We also have some 707s ED would just have to remove the refueling probe and radar domes.
  7. I could only support adding super carrier features to airbases and air ports, if ED did Super Carrier II as a Naval module As for airliner traffic that sounds like a good option if you asked me.

  11. I figure more and better infantry for all eras would be part of my ideal overhaul. I'd also improve the template system and add the ability to place units. For example a fire team might be a automatic rifleman desingated marksmen grenedier 2 riflemen a squad might be 3 fire teams 2 rifle squads might be a platoon

  14. The only problem I see is bandwidth. If you are a regular to a server then that might not be a problem.
  15. Apparently the AGM-88 has been at least tested and possibly used operationally on MiG-29s. If this is something worked up for Ukraine last week, I could see there being no way in hell it would make it to DCS. However if the Slovakians or some other Fulcrum flying NATO member has been firing NATO standard weapons for years then it might be cool to have that in the MiG-29 module of the documents are available.
  16. While they are doing this, it would be a good idea to add dates to aircraft liveries as well so they can work with historical mode. For example in the F-4 if the date is set to the late 1980s we might have the three tone grey.

  18. I use the term mod for anything that isn't an official module. So a community module is an example of a mod. As Is an ai asset pack. So I am not confused you are. Anyway my point still remains the same, if we have jsdams and targeting system nothing is stopping the community from building a Franken bomber called the B-2 spirit. I am happy about that. I am just unhappy someone took a shredder to the republic archives.
  19. As long as something has been tested, a what-if load out might be fine. Though I would prefer to keep to what was fielded
