Is it not possible to use the pca to select the Magics anymore - only through the joystick mapping? Is that how it is IRL? Cheers
Still having loads of problems myself with disappearing radar contacts.
EDIT -Found a post by Jojo, Magic select is how it should be.

I have a similar issue, it's the same in the Baltic Dragon training missions as well as my own. For days I've been trying to keep a contact, but alas the radar keeps dropping the target and I can't re-acquire at all. Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers

Never heard about the C-130 and CH-53 but the other three are apparently still in development or at least on hold. Just because they’re aren’t saying anything about those projects doesn’t mean they’re dead. They did say they were not going to bring anything else out until the Mirage and harrier were out of early access/beta.
All the devs work in different ways that suit themselves and not their customers. I’m sure they’ll let us us know their plans in due course. A Christmas update for devs is quite usual.

Question do you have to run the cable to the hms or is it only for charging
Yeah, the HMS requires a 5v power supply so it needs to be attached permanently. Just run it down the same cable as the the HMD one with the supplied cable ties. The charger for the FCU’s is separate.

So my squelch sound only works when I'm not in the cockpit ie only during the mission editor and main menu. How do I make it work all the time? It certainly used to. Everything actually works as normal other than the squelch sound which is not disabled in Preferences. Any ideas? Cheers

Yeah, I’m with everyone else here, it totally makes a difference. I built a collective from a Combat Lynx with a Leo Bodnar board on a frame. It’s ok flying with my TM Warthog but much, much, much better with a dedicated collective

Shipping Update: The last of the previous groups orders just went out. Carol will probably issue the invoices tomorrow, but they won't ship until Monday or Tuesday, so no rush in making payment.
@Mr Mojo, Its still the plan, along with the radial buttons, pressure panels, smaller and sleeker FCU, Headset integration research, I just don't know when. The Aux Push Buttons banks are pretty low hanging fruit, so hopefully soon.

Remember to check in the Config (Ctrl, L Alt +C) settings that your pointed towards the correct fie path for DCS World

OK, so I've been out of Normandy for a couple of months with the hope of it getting some love. Alas, no it hasn't. Started the Epsom campaign again and it's down to 3 fps now and it stays like that for a minute before it goes up to the dizzy heights of 20 fps!

Cheers for the answers all. Yeah, I don’t have any issues with the tracking even with the warning message. Not tried with the touch controllers though (not hat I’ll be using them in DCS anymore). The guardian reset thing seemed to coincide with the right touch controller ‘ghost’ low battery issue. As well. Maybe it’s connected to a crap Oculus update

Ok, got mine yesterday, quick delivery.
Findings so far.
Excellent product, nice and light, does not feel awkward or clumsy to use with Warthog joystick and throttle.
The following may be just because I've not used all the calibration tools:
When neither of the FCU crosses are not visible I notice the mouse cursor is visible (annoyingly so) in the upper right hand corner
Took a while to get used to the calibration. Still can't get it really accurate though but workable, How do you know you guys tell you're pointing accuratly at the cross when you can't see your arms?
Oculus Rift S message - Your device can't track your headset because there is insufficient light - HMD covering sensor issue?
Seems like it's the ways to go with VR anyways and it's really quite immersive. Good show, Miles

So I was trying to adjust the ipd setting in options and accidentally added an extra couple of digits!! Now I can't see the menu anymore and the screen through vr is nauseating. How do i change it manually back to normal again? Thanks
EDIT It's ok I just unplugged the Rift and rebooted DCS and changed it in the settings then

How does a real pilot do it? It looks rather awkward to me. Currently I map the right DDI button 4 (?) and Y on keyboard. I'll maybe just assign them to Vaicom until these bad boys arrive in the next few days :D

Out of interest, how do you measure the exact fov mate? My ipd is 69 and my fov is also great without the faceplate on - actually it was slightly better than cv1 with the faceplate on anyways and it is much, much better. I also wrapped a cut piece of craft foam right around the headset to prevent light coming in and just blu-tacked it on. Crude, but works until a 3rd party brings something else out

Why does my squelch sounds (that I like) often stop working? It’s quite frustrating actually, but the commands still work. Sometimes if I start Vaicom before DCS the squelches work, until I start a mission, then they’ll stop!
I have space bar (for the campaigns) mapped to a joystick button and I have also noticed if I have the the options panel open by pressing this command button one of the boxes gets checked and unchecked. Is there a way to stop this and is it maybe related to the above? Thanks
