  1. Update: As of 1.5.8 this is still not fixed. Exactly. It's sad that it's a regression. It worked perfectly well in the beginning.
  2. This issue is many years old. I believe ED changed the input handling and introduced a bug where mouse movements that are smaller that one unit per frame are not accumulated properly. That's why the stuttering effect is most visible when you have high frame rate and pan the view slowly. It's also most pronounced with high polling rate mice ( basically the better ones or gaming models).
  3. It is something that worked fine until ED broke it around version 1.2 IIRC. It's been broken literally for years now. Don't expect a fix.
  4. Not every mouse has software to change this. It worked fine. ED broke it and IMO they should fix it, not the users.
  5. I tried removing it but it doesn't make it work. It seems hardcoded somehow.
  6. Not for chat. I had it assigned. Now it seems it cannot be effectively assigned anymore.
  7. After latest beta update TAB key suddenly stopped working. Can anyone confirm?
  8. Still not fixed in 1.5.3. On the brighter note - at least mouse in GUI doesn't lag anymore.
  9. Latest beta reverted to old behavior - gamepad sticks work again but triggers are not properly separated.
  10. I bet the common factor is using mouse to look around and pan the camera. It worked fine before, it's broken since some changes in the input system around version 1.5. There was a video in the initial post: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2712266#post2712266 Original thread about the same issue: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=152300
  11. +1 It's not performance issue.
  12. Steps to reproduce: 1. In-cockpit view 2. Fly straight and level (optionally - Pause simulation) 3. Slowly pan with mouse left and right. (optionally - set mouse speed slow with "LCtrl - [" before) Symptom: View is not panning smoothly but with stops and slowdowns.
  13. It won't help. I have a "gaming" mouse with much higher polling rate yet the problem is apparent. If you have a side by side install of 1.5 and 1.2 the difference is clear.
  14. Looking around with mouse is not smooth anymore, like it was in 1.2.16. Despite much better framerates, it feels like there is a crude mouse acceleration implemented. It is evident when zoomed in. Slow panning don't follow the speed of mouse moves. It feels like there is a threshold of speed above which the mouse pans the view very fast and below which the panning becomes very imprecise and slow. ETA: It seems there's a deadzone or a filter in place. Mouse movements below certain threshold are ignored. This makes slow panning on large zoom choppy and imprecise. A regression from 1.2.16 implementation, in my opinion.
  15. I have a mouse button set up as a modifier (for fluid camera zoom using mouse axis). It always worked in previous versions. Since 1.5 sometimes the modifier gets stuck and I need to press it and release to unstick it. It happens randomly but quite often, every other minute or so.
  16. Do you happen to have an USB infrared PC remote connected? It's a known bug of Microsoft Remote driver. Symptoms are that some keys on your keyboard emit wrong codes in DirectX. Affected keys among others are '\' and '~'.
  17. It crashes the new insider preview build. Works fine on RTM.
  18. NVidia crashing the system on Windows 10 Insider preview is a known issue. If you're reinstalling, reinstall to the RTM. Another working fix is revert to some old Nvidia driver.
  19. Yep, I have it after the latest updates of DCS and Win 10 (Fast Ring). Exiting DCS World gui causes a hard crash and reboot of the system. Just a heads up for anyone considering Windows 10.
  20. I think the built in keybinding works as a toggle so it requires external software like autohotkey to make it work like a momentary switch.
  21. First dogfight = first kill! I just purchased the P-51D on Steam. First instant action dogfight and I managed to shoot the wing off the Dora. I hadn't setup the gunsight controls yet, so it was mostly shooting by observing where the tracers fly :) first dogfight.trk
  22. Thanks for this amazing video! Very informative and eye-opening, especially when it comes to proper take-off technique. Interesting how much he trims the rudder to the right for take-off. I'm not sure but it looks like the indicator shows 50% trim. I love all the little details visible in the video, like the fact he taps the toe brakes just before rising the landing gear.
  23. Just something I wrote, not really a tool, just a script.
  24. Also scripting. I used to use Saitek config editor but recently I switched to a small custom tool written in .Net that uses vJoy.
  25. In clickable cockpits I assign "Mouse toggle" to a button on the stick. I program that button in my joystick software to toggle once for both the press and release actions. That way the stick button works as a momentary toggle i.e. hold while clicking in the cockpit, release to return to mouselook. It works well in my minimalistic setup, I have a stick with integrated throttle and twist grip for rudder. If I had a separate throttle I'd go for TIR.
