  1. Nice work! I just finished my first Apache MPD yesterday. Tedac is on my todo list as well.
  2. Following, in the proces of creating my own MPD's as well and looking at different boards to use.
  3. Thank you guys for the explanation and confirming my suspicion.
  4. Yesterday I flew on the Low Level Hell server and got shot at by some insurgents with large caliber guns. My apache took some hits and though I didn't experience any big flight model changes, I got the warning Rotor RPM High and the guage said 120%. It kept flying kinda normally and I flew back to the farp. When starting the landing, I got overspeed warnings both eengine until I was on the ground. Does this behavior sound familiar to anyone? What did the insurgents hit and what caused this? And how to deal with it in the future?
  5. Didn't test the route option but yeah. As CP/G I could set the direct to waypoint for my pilot but he couldn't see a home plate unless he set the direct to waypoint himself...
  6. I'm very happy with the Trim Reset! Thank you ED.
  7. Just tested the D-Day instant mission for the F-16. I has a lot of AI-units and smoke effects. FPS is high 50s low 60s there.
  8. I own some of the warbirds. No paid campaigns for them though. I'll see what I can come up with for you. As for Intel vs. AMD yes I think AMD is the better choice now. Just read some of the reviews for the Ryzen 5000 series.
  9. I set Steam VR resolution to 50% so that it almost matches native Reverb G2 resolution.
  10. A restart mission button on the escape-menu would be nice as well for us VR users.
  11. I just got my new system up and running and can vouch for this. Running a Ryzen 5900x, 32Gb RAM @4000, RTX3080 and Samsung 980 Pro NVME drive on a X570 Aorus Master. Yes it's expensive as hell but does the trick. Can run your typical instant action mission with 90FPS on a Reverb G2. For the settings I choose the VR preset and upped the pretty much everything one or two notches. Left stuff like motion blur, heat blur, msaa off. With the Reverb G2 you dont need any anti aliasing.
  12. Once you go VR, you will never want to go back to 2D. Unless you get motion sickness from VR that is... Whether or not your PC can handle it, I'm running a Haswell i5 4670 @ 3,8 Ghz, GTX 1070 and SSD (not M.2) and I'm getting around 30FPS on a Oculus Rift CV1. It all depends on the settings in DCS and whether your are willing to have lesser graphics for better FPS. The fact that the Quest II requires a Facebook account is an absolute NO-GO for me but that is my personal opinion. Just make sure you google for this because I see reports of people have issues with Facebook after setting up their Quest II. The Reverb has a much better resolution so you can actually read the dials in the cockpit without having to bend over... The Reverb also comes with a 6m cable so you can also play games in your living room with it.
  13. Because there isn't. Just press standby and AG again.
  14. I just fitted my Gigabyte RTX 3080 Gaming OC and ran DCS with my Rift CV1. (Waiting on my Reverb G2 to be delivered next month). I was able to set all sliders to the right except smoke density and heatblur. But to be honest, i just didn't try those 2 sliders yet. I also set the pixel density to 2.0 and VR mask to 1.00. My specs are i5 CPU running at 3,4 Ghz, 32 Gb RAM and Samsung 840 EVO ssd held together by a Gigabyte G1.Sniper Z87 motherboard. Starting on the super carrier and flying over Dubai I didnt get a single stutter. All went butter smooth. But somehow I didn't get the FPS counter to show up. Even tried binding it to another key but still no counter so I don't have exact frame rates... Side note: the 3080 wasn't even at full capacity because my PSU (750W) couldn't give it enough power. So performance will be even better when I've replaced the PSU.
  15. Probably because it's made in Google Forms.
  16. Filled in. Thank you for this opportunity ED. Edit: no hoops here...
  17. +1  I'll be busy flying around the super carriers anyways...
  18. We'll see it when it's done. We can all wait a bit longer. Everyone is in lockdown anyway. Good luck bug hunting!
