  1. I encounter the same problem from time to time. Usually switching the TACAN mode selector or DF/TCN mode selector will fix this. Other similar issue like this is when I select TACAN channel the HSI doesn't react at all. Flipping the above mentioned selectors, initiates the correct HSI display. I'm nut sure if this is a bug or a feature. ;) By the way - what is the distance for the TACAN navigation to work? In this module that is. I have problems to get direction to TACAN station if the distance is greater than 50 - 60 nm. The HSI direction pointer is just spinning around. AFAIK in RL the wo
  2. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znnavxFReJs Sorry for OT, but it's "ein Hammer". :megalol:
  3. Another option - you go to the copy shop. 400+ pages should get you a nice discount. Although now the question is - does it make sense to print out the manual that is sort of "incomplete". That was a really smart move ED... ;)
  4. Will the extended version be available in PDF format as well? I hope so...
  5. I'm surprised, because if I recall it correctly, Ka-50's were doing great in this combat environment and the results were highly satisfying. PS. Thanks for the interesting reading Esac.
  6. Since when there is such a restriction on RS? I'm stunned.
  7. Mate, read this: http://hubpages.com/hub/Most_Difficult_Languages_-_Polish I don't think this program will be so effective for us (with repeating the translation for example). Our grammar is seriously f****** up. :D But I'll give it a try.
  8. AFAIK - Spetznaz is not a group. The term is used to describe (Russian) Special Forces. So Vympel, Alpha and other units can be considered as Spetsnaz (or a part of it). Correct me if I'm wrong. But the photo fits good to this topic, even so. ;)
  9. The manual is translated by hand so far. Although only few guys are working already (since most of us will be translating from English). Thanks for the link. :) I'll check it out.
  10. I couldn't resist: :megalol: ;) PS. Great unit without a doubt. Although some methods and ROE are rather controversial.
  11. Sure:
  12. I love the new thread idea Groove. :) So 2 quick videos worth watching imho: 1. The original thread was about Serbian exercises, so here is a cool movie about Serbian JSO SpecOps Unit. Bus & Train entry ways are awesome. :) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4N_xiE4eo_o 2. SpecOps + pilot skills - Chinook Pinnacle Landing - Afghanistan, SEALs pick-up if I'm correct: I hope you like it.
  13. Well I don't think it's necessary to flood this thread with suggestions regarding the quality of translation (everyone will have some ;) ). Send me PM or the best option would be to join the "official" translation thread on the Polish forum (www.il2forum.xt.pl). Thanks for you interests. :)
  14. I don't think it's possible to judge which special unit is "the best" and if such comparisons make sense at all. For example: ask the US Marines (of course USMC are not SpecOps but still...) who is "teh man"... But I certainly agree that SAS operators are elite. Regarding the Bravo Two Zero. I'm not questioning these men, but I hope you are aware that there are different accounts of this mission (distance, enemies killed etc.) and some serious doubts involved.
  15. If I may speak for others participating in this project - any help is welcome. Our goal is to make this manual as professional as it gets. But please keep in mind that the available chapter is only a sample (beta version). The plan is that translators will exchange their parts and correct those created by others. After the English manual will be released it will be a lot easier to make a proper translation. The final release of this manual is intended to be as comprehensible as possible. Great news. :) :) If I get it right, there is really no need to be sarcastic towards ED reg
