I was in the F-15 mission in the main menu. using just * / on the num pad, I can zoom without problems. however using shift+ either * or /, I can only do it once and then the view locks up in that zoom factor. So it is either zoomed all the way out or all the way in. The zoom will not change with any further zoom control keys pressed. I tried mapping the zoom to different keys and still get the same results. Has anyone else seen this? I'm patched up to the latest LOFC.
  2. I wasen't on a server. This was the A-10 mission and after I crashed, I was looking at other objects. When I rotated the view, this was what I found. I've not modded the install in anyway so does the configuration come with the terrain restriction parameter = false from a fresh install? which file is this in so that I can change it to true?

  4. I also see some bugs too.....this is the A10 mission from the main menu. When I landed, the pitch scales were going nuts. it would flash between where it should be and to the left of it. This is a rapid flash taht goes back and forth. I can only use screen shot to capture it.
  5. So they finally did change the replacement process? I got mine in the first batch and at that time, there was no proof of purchase required. it was just give address.....I'm glad to see that they finally figured it out .

Greb, did you call just the 1800 number? that 1800 number is just a recording to the shipping company. here~ http://www.creativecms.com/ I called the lady at the number shown on the website (she should be the one that answered your email) and confirmed delivery date. Try this if you have not done so. Mine came in a week. No problems at all!
  9. are you saving as 32 bit or 24 bit? when I tied 32bit, the inserted picutre was all black. Worked fine when I saved it in 24bit BMP. See if this is the problem.

  11. For some planes, only one side view is offered in the skin (for example the F-5E). So if you put any text on there, it will show up as reversed when looking at the plane from the opposite side. Is there anyway to get around it? Would it be an easy thing for ED to fix?
  12. How is the RAF ranks incorrect? let us know so we can change it. another one....the purple heart should be awarded only when the pilot dies.... unless you always assume he's hurt after Criterion="600" :) btw, what exactly is the criterion for ? time? points?
  13. I knew there was something wrong with the straps.... the tga files are labled US-01-1Lt.tga and US-02-2Lt.tga. they really should be US-02-1Lt.tga and US-01-2Lt.tga. so the countries.xml file and the actual tga files needs to be renamed.
  14. well, I still have questions regarding the official explanation. I'm no business major so maybe that's why I don't get it. If EG was completely at fault and mis-understood. Why would ED be so nice as to accomdate and go along with someone else's mistake? It's not as if they are opening up a new market....they already had NP to cover the US market. On top of that, they are accomodating the mistake at a lesser price. I guess if the price was the same than it really dosen't hurt ED. However, for EG to come and undercut NP's prices.....it makes little sense. So someone else made a mistake, instead of suing the hell out of them.....I help them at my expense. I guess I should'a gone to business school :icon_jook
  15. You're missing the point. You're right in that ED is not responsible for the cd problem. But if I was ED and whoever I granted rights to is giving the game away, I'd be pretty pissed. Spend all this effort and money with SF while the weak link is so obvious.....makes little sense. Also this means that EG has screwed up twice now! First for wrongly assuming they had the rights to LOFC in the first place as ED explained it. Second, this flawed recall process without verification is GIVING away the game by simply leaving your name/address. It should be user sends disc in and new disc comes back or ship copies to store and have users exchange. Without knowing how many bad copies are in user's hands, when does the shipping company quit sending replacements? If I was NP, I'd quit selling it too. It's a niche market already and now you got EG potentially flooding the market with free copies.....how do you compete with that?
  16. Yeah, there's something funny about the whole gold thing. Maybe NP realized that they can't compete with giving away the game for free. the gold disc 2 replacement process is a joke. the number they listed is to a shipping company. They just take your info and send LOFC to you no questions asked. Completely different than what it said on the EG recall notice. I wouldn't put the blame on them because I called and she said they're just doing what their customer told them. So a while back, I've tried notifying ED through this forum by PM and I also sent an email to ED and EG regarding this flaw. To this day, I've not gotten any acknowledgement as to them being aware of this problem and as far as I know, the same process is still working.   17. The problem isn't what's underneath...regardless of how the water is modeled, there is something wrong with the logic when it allows the view to rotate below a land or water surface.
  18. Brit_Radar_Dude, I guess this would somewhat make sense if it was uniform across all tracks. However, in the visual landing track, once you land and taxi on to the taxiway, the view will not let you go below ground. So it works in that track but not in the takeoff track. I assume those two tracks are different airports? could that be a source of error?
