  1. Updated "JF-17 - Creating and Adding a Waypoint.png" kneeboard to show steps to add waypoints, PP, and RP points via the F10 menu (while on the ground). Here's a screen shot of one of the kneeboards in sim:
  2. I put together some simple procedural kneeboards for the JF-17, placed in the User Files section. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319057/ As stated these are not official procedures, just what I've put together as a quick reminder on how to employ various guided weapons on the JF-17 (after not flying it for a while). Kneeboards included: JF-17 - AIR-TO-AIR ACM PL-5E.png JF-17 - AIR-TO-AIR BVR ACM SD-10-1.png JF-17 - AIR-TO-AIR BVR ACM SD-10-2.png JF-17 - BRM-1 TPOD.png JF-17 - C-701 IR TV AGM.png JF-17 - C-802AKG MITL TPOD DLPOD-1.png JF-17 - C-802AKG MITL TPOD DLPOD-2.png JF-17 - Creating and Adding a Waypoint.png JF-17 - GB-6 LS-6 TOO TPOD.png JF-17 - GBU-12 TPOD.png JF-17 - LD-10 ARM.png Enjoy! 3. When I was testing QMap Marker while working on an updated F-14 kneeboard, I noticed that Jester wasn't slewing the LANTIRN pod to the mark point if the marker was over ~20 miles away.
  4. Great update, thanks HB! Using Jester AI for the LANTIRN works well for me. One minor item is when using Direct Head Control. Once I move the solid red dot in the red circle on the VDI/TV, it seems that when I move down, the crosshair/display wants to move up/forward instead. Similarly if I try to move left, the cross-hair/display doesn’t move much… seems to favor forward or right motion only.
  5. I'm focusing more on procedures, maybe someone else has (or can) address this in other user files. I've updated the kneeboards file (see original post above for link), adding a kneeboard to employ the GBU-12 (or any of the GBU's) using Jester AI to control the LANTIRN.
  6. 12. Are you using the HMCS? Seems like you’re not, which means you would probably be using bore sight or the 60 degrees (vertical) radar scan with the HUD. Which AIM-9 are you using - M or X? The M has a much more limited seeker gimbal range than the X…. If the X, it seems that uncaging the seeker head should have got you a missile diamond lock/tone. If the M, try to get the radar locked target as close to the bore sight (I.e. missile diamond) as possible and listen for the growl, then uncage. Also, getting a little closer to the target might help.
  13. Cool! The latest update has added this feature already . So now in the Mi-24P AI menu (from the back/pilot seat) you hit menu-left and can see a view of the selected countermeasures options, this is great. Thanks ED.
  14. From the back/pilot seat you can set which countermeasures pod is selected via the "Set I/II/III" mapping. However, in the heat of battle and with only an AI up front, it can be guesswork to figure out which pod is currently selected. It would be nice if there was a way to know at a glance without trial and error.
  15. I have had this issue too, while in my case, looking at the log it clearly stated pilot killed - I agree it’s confusing since no other modules I can think of have the pilot die but your view/camera stays in the cockpit (but controls don’t work).
  16. If you make a change to your lua file that's in a do script file event, you need to open the mission, go into the specific trigger, and re-click the button to load the script file again. Otherwise, it retains what the script file contained from the previous time you loaded it - i.e. it doesn't change the script file within the .mis file when you change the source script.
  17. You said you hear the missile tone, so I assume you have the guns/missile/camera switch in the up position (has red cover). That and what Northstar98 said, plus you said you have the outer toggle switches up. Oh, and did you press and hold the weapon release button? It takes 1-2 seconds before the missile is fired.
  18. Something else you can consider is filtering the contacts on the FCR. If you look at the F-16 manual, page 156: Radar Display Filtering Track symbols displayed on the FCR page may be filtered using the UHF/VHF Transmit switch. This affects tracks displayed on the radar display only and does not affect those displayed on the HSD. Positioning the switch inboard short (less than .5 sec) rotates between three filter options ALL. All symbols are displayed FTR+. Surveillance tracks are removed TGTS. Surveillance and PPLI tracks are removed. Positioning the switch outboard short (less than .5 sec) selects NONE and removes all datalink tracks. Selecting outboard short again returns to the previously selected filter option. The current option is displayed at the bottom left of the radar display. So basically, if for example, you have the HSD on the right MFD, which will show donor contacts from the data link, on your left MFD you can then filter out contacts on your FCR that are from donors (which you can't lock until they are picked up by your radar!), just showing aircraft that your radar is picking up (i.e. it would show TGTS in the lower left corner, instead of ALL or FTR+). This way, with the TGTS filter on, any targets that show on your FCR are lockable, since they are returns from your radar.
