  1. Most of us in my squad use 3.0.12.
  2. Some of the guys in my squad have TARS working with the latest version of TS. In the export.lua of the saved games folder, TARS has been putting in this line at the very bottom: dofile(lfs.writedir().."Scripts\\TARSExport.lua"). When they put in this line underneath it: dofile("./Config/Export/TARSExportA10.lua"), TARS would work. Another thing some of us have to do is, once we enter the pit, go to TS "uncheck" the TARS box in plugins under settings. Click "close", go back into the plugins and recheck the TARS plugin. Click "Close" and TARS comes to life. Hope this helps.
  3. Same problem here. Can't get it to work. Tried everything. When I try to uninstall TARS I get this: The TARS Control panel encountered an unhandled exception and needs to stop. Value cannot be null. Parameter name: path1 Anyone know what that is about?
  4. I use JSGME and love it! Initial folder structure took a little time to set up but it is well worth it IMO.
  5. Very very nice mission. We have flown it a couple of times in the different slots. Getting some fuel
  6. I'm sure others will chime in. I don't own an X52 pro but a few of the guys in my squad own them and love them. I've heard of no issues from them with the little joystick or the sliders. I good profile and having the axis set properly will do you just fine. BTW I use Ch Products Fighterstick, Pro Throttle, and Pro Pedals myself. Just my $.02
  7. So let me get this straight. I should uninstall mods before I do anything? Would repair work to remove them? If so, would the file structure in the backup folder that is created after doing the repair is the one I would use to put in JSGME to make my mods in "_MODS"? Just want to be sure before I mess anything up. :hehe:
  8. Did the autoupdate on mine. No issues. Helios still working after the update so thats a good sign. Update: Bug. The guages worked for Helios, but it knocked out my viewports.
  9. Thank you thank you thank you. Great mod
  10. I'm a fool who can't figure this out. Can you hook a brother up with those mumbo jumbo numbers? :) I have two monitors. The left one(main) is 1920x1080. The right one is 1440x900. Combined resolution is 3360x1080. I don't have any other night vision mod installed but I edited the focus.png file awhile back. At the time it was off center to the right because of Helios for some reason. Would I have to put the original focus.png back in its place before I do this mod? Thanks a great deal for any help.
  11. OMG! Thank you guys so much for the fix! I was scratching my head trying to figure out why it wasn't working....or what I did wrong.
  12. One small problem our wing is having is the radios in different ears. We set up TARS to have UHF in both ears, VHF AM in the right ear and VHF FM in the left ear. The problem is we have to exit Teamspeak, open TARS control panel, uncheck all the boxes, recheck the boxes we want to use, remap the controls, and get back into Teamspeak. Then it works properly but if we leave the sim and come back in, all the radios go back to being in both ears and we have to repeat the process again.
  13. For Helios users. If you have problems with TARS not running after you have installed it and you are using Helios, try this: 1.) Open your export.lua file in the config folder in World with Notepad++ 2.) At the very bottom of the lua file, delete: dofile("./Config/Export/TARSExportA10.lua") there should be a new one there called dofile("./Config/Export/TARSExport.lua") 3.) Save the export.lua file 4.) Open Helios profile editor and open your profile 5.) Under 3rd party scripts, you should see dofile("./Config/Export/TARSExportA10.lua"), ("./Config/Export/TARSExport.lua"), and if you use Tacview.... dofile("./Config/Export/TacviewExport.lua"). Now delete dofile("./Config/Export/TARSExportA10.lua") <<ONLY delete this one 6.) Hit the "Setup DCS" button 7.) Save profile TARS would not work for me until I did this.
  14. What he's asking is if there is a way to cycle backwards through the planes with the F2 view. If you come in the game and for instance you are the 3rd person to enter the game, you hit F2 and it shows your plane. You hit F2 again and it shows the AI planes and you have to keep hitting F2 to get to the 1st 2 people that entered the game. Now if you are the 1st person to enter the game and hit F2, it shows your plane. Hit F2 again and it shows the next person to enter the game and so on.
  15. Maybe you can try posting that question here: http://www.ch-hangar.com/forum/forum.php they have great customer support and should get back to you fairly quickly.
  16. I don't know....I think I'd give you a run for your money:).
  17. I agree. Keep practicing. I've spent a couple of hours each day for the last week and a half trying to refuel. It is VERY frustating. At first I couldn't even get connected. Then, I could connect, but only for a few seconds. Today I managed to get a full tank for the first time. It took me about 7 or 8 hook ups but I finally did it!:cheer3nc: I was able to stay connected for longer periods of time too. Like I said...KEEP PRACTICING
  18. Must be nice. I've only been able to connect a couple of times for a few seconds over the last few days. I think that the boom operator I get is cross-eyed:wacko:. He just can't hit the hole:music_whistling:.
  19. Yep keep going. Thats what I did. Built a whole new computer for this sim. You won't regret TrackIr. I bought my 1st one a few weeks ago(TrackIr 5 Pro) and wondered why I never bought one sooner:doh:
  20. After reading some of the other WOW moments, mine might not seem as cool as others but since I'm new I thought I'd share it anyway. I'm in the early stages of learning this wonderful sim and my WOW moment was in the landing training. The instructor tells me to put in 110.30 in the ILS panel but after putting in the 110 and then the .30, nothing happens. So I'm like WTF! The cursor is still on the same spot and the instructor stopped talking to me! So I restarted the landing training and the same thing happened again after entering the .30. So I said "screw it" and kept flying. I found the airport and was able to land the plane on my first try. I was like "wow, I made it, who needs that instructor"?! I did find out afterwards that it was a bug in the landing training and I have since applied the fix for it and now it works great.
  21. Great advice! Thanks. I've decided to build my own and use the secondary components from what I have(dvd drive...etc) and add cpu/psu....etc and go from there. Time to get down to business and start researching. Thanks again for the advice -Rob
  22. Thank you for the replies. I will look into all the above mentioned. I may just go the route of getting a newer pc. Mine seems to be getting outdated and before I shovel out any $$$ on it I might as well look for something better. Being on a tight budget, I'm wondering if I should just try my hand at building my own and use some of the components that I have in my pc to save a few $$$(Lightscribe DVD rom drive, multi card reader, tv tuner...etc), and just add the other components(cpu, gpu, ram, power supply...etc). Or would I be better off getting a new pc already put together? I'm handy with tools so swapping out motherboards and such is no big deal. Problem is, where do I start? Any links? What cpu/gpu to get? Power supply(450,500, higher)?
