  1. Looks like it is only for first mission. On the Mission #2 I see labels "on units" but map is still "hardcore", I see map and compass rose
  2. Yes. I see label when I play some single mission. I see labels on map in the cut scene (1st mission in campaign) but when I have to to two landings - I am lost.
  3. Good day All Could anybody help me to switch labels on? I tried "No force mission, use mine" but I still cannot see myself on a map and red\blue dots for airplanes. I know that Creator did not recommend to use setting "No force mission, use mine" but I am playing the game, you know and not training for WW2. Thanks
  4. Good day All Just finished The Enemy Within 3.0 - some feedback. First - thank you Baltic Dragon for your campaign. I really enjoyed it. Good campaign for somebody who wants to play a not awfully hardcore and difficult campaign. If somebody wants hardcore - you always can switch all labels off and do not prepare coordinates in advance. I did it sometimes when I flew missions several times. And there are still some not easy missions in the campaign. Night missions killed me Playing the TEW campaign - it is like reading a book or watching a movie. Good story, variety of missions. Almost all missions can be passed from second attempt. A lot of missions are multi-steps missions and you will learn to not use all your Mavericks for SUVs in the very beginning. No big issues, just several times frequencies did not match in briefing and kneepad. No need to fight triggers to force a mission to continue. Only a couple of times I heard the same voice message on my way to and from AO when I hit the same trigger zone twice. Not mission critical, just voice messages. Idea with debriefing - it is cool. I liked it. What I remember most: Helping to escape a Georgian guy from captivity, Really good multi-steps mission, I would say "sub-campaign" . Sea target - it was interesting but when I flew it years ago I had to do something with L-39 by myself. Now another guy helped me. I liked it. Evacuation of an F-16 pilot. I had to cheat a bit in this mission and attack before Overlord's clearance, but sometimes I am sure they do it in real life as well The solo mission with bad weather in the mountains - was a good change for mission types. Thanks again.
  5. I used a "cheat". I started to kill Air Defense before I got "go" from Overlord. After you kill two MANPADs it is easier. In this particular mission it does not fail the mission. And of course after 5 attempts I knew truck's route very well Actually trucks - is the most tricky part because of time limit.
  6. I think I know how to do it. Almost passed... Interesting, the debriefing after failed mission is longer than after success. Looks like mission was expected to be hard
  7. Good day All Mission - rescue of the F-16 pilot. I saw on You tube how other people pass it but these videos were published long ago. Maybe something was changed and it became very difficult? Me and my bot just cannot kill all Air Defense on time and clouds force you go low where bad guys kill you and your bot. For now I want to cheat - kill all of Air Defense before Overlord clears the attack. Looks like mission allows such ROE violation :) Any advice or I just should play better? Thank you P.S. To admin, sorry, I did not put this topic into right forum. UPDATE: thanks for moving my question to the right place.

IMHO - I can tell you how they think. 1) Down time for DCS authentication servers - N hours in a year . 2) Create proper offline version - K months of G devs \ testers\ ... bla bla bla N<< K*G and if you do not have Internet - it is not our problem. That's all Sometimes I miss Flanker 1.0. I think I miss 2.5 even more ...
  9. Hm, never worked for me. Change hardware - no problem, just ask authenticate again normally and sign off your new Windows \ PC. The same as reinstall on a new machine. No, I can understand you need Internet ( for example some MMO games do not work without Internet at all). I just asking to add ability to play several days offline in case something happens with servers. I understand it is a security issue but I doubt anybody will have a special offline PC for stolen DCS. Let's admit - DCS has very "narrow circle" of regular customers.

    Offline mode

    Good day Is it a difficult to implement following idea? Create something like "Authorize offline mode on this particular Windows for a week". Or other period of time - 3 days, 5 days ,... And renew/ reactivate it on every successful authentication. In such case you can play at least a week even if your internet is down. Or when DCS server is down.
  11. I am pretty sure they think like that: 1) Everyone has internet nowadays. 2) To make login servers online easier than create an offline version. To be honest they could at least create something like "Authorize offline mode on this particular Windows for a week". And renew it every successful authentication. In such case you can play at least a week even if your internet is down.
  12. One more comment. I completed mission successfully but did not see fancy "Mission complete" picture. My bad - I did not check debriefing ( great idea btw). No other issues with a mission. Except I have no idea how you play without markers. I use dot only markers and still it is not easy for me. In Mission 4 I did not see smoke and I did not see friendly and first thing what I saw - it was Igla flying to me. They missed and I was able to finish the mission.
  13. Good day Baltic Dragon Thank you for fixing and upgrading campaign. It is good to play it again. Could you please clarify something for Mission 4? In the briefing I see: Dodge - 250 FM and Overlord - 135.3 UHF. Looks like typo FM vs UHF. It is ok, it is clear that it is just typo. Problem that in the middle of the mission Overlord says "Contact GUARD" and I could not find GUARD frequency in the briefing. Should I use GUARD from mission 2? 121.5 AM? Thank you
  14. Try it after overhaul. It looks like "TEW 3.0 on steroids". We have even debriefings now! It is a great idea.
  15. Everything works for "A-10C 2" for me. Only one thing - check and switch manually FM \ AM mode to make all comms work.
  16. Thanks, yes, A-10C II can call tower in Mission 2. Old A-10C could not. Time to play TEW 3.0 in A-10C II with a helmet-mounted display
  17. A-10C also still has weird issue with comms. In Mission 1 I could talk to tower but wing-man ignored commands ( I tried to order "Anchor here") In Mission 2 I cannot get anything from Tower. I asked for permission to start up engine. ED standard mission "Free fly. Cold start up" works though. As I understand A-10C is not tested and supported anymore. Correct? So if I want to play this campaign - do I need "A-10C II"? I wanted to buy "A-10C II" anyway so one more reason
  18. Good day SoreIRo. I finished that great campaign today! It was not easy for me. Great campaign, good idea for general setting and time period - Black Sea 1979. Very challenging, variety of missions, dialogs - I liked all of it. Did not have any major bugs or problems in any mission but for some of them you have to ask other people what to do. But couple of suggestion if campaign will be "refurbished". 1) Add possibility to pass mission without 100 score. For example with 55 score Example - you have to kill 3 Tu-22. Now you have to kill all of them to pass. Maybe it is an option to kill 2 of them and pass with 55 score? You can see that sometimes after 10 attempts people were looking for "how to pass it" on Youtube and asked here for help 2) Sometimes it is not clear what to do from briefing. a) You read "kill bombers". In mission you see three Tu -22. You kill them ( from third attempt ) . RTB - DRAW. There is no info in the briefing that you have to kill them before they drop the bombs In briefing you can add "Not a single bomb should hit our grunts!" b) Attack on SAM missions. Sometimes you have to just hit and run, sometimes destroy it completely. You do not know it from briefing. c) Once in briefing they said:"Destroy main target, if you still have ammo - secondary". But to pass it you have to at least hit secondary target. I was sure that "if you still have ammo" means "not mandatory to pass". It is good example for 100 vs 55 score to pass. d) If it is enough to scare enemy away to pass a mission then it would be good to know from briefing as well. Because if you chase bandit you can fly directly to enemy SAM and if you would know you can leave him alive ... e) Last mission. "Escort C-130". Probably it would be better to call it "Patrol area where C-130 passes"? Till I land I had no idea if I pass it because there were no hint how to meet C-130 and I was afraid I missed some trigger and mission will be DRAW. 3) Small trigger bug - in a mission where you have to kill columns on a coast FAC is glitchy a bit. Also in the same mission - when you hit column you get message "column stopped". I was sure it means "this column is done, go to the next" but in reality you have to finish them off and get "RTB" command. BTW - it is a good example for "vague" missions. You know - sometimes new players will play it ( like me) who is not familiar with a game. You can add into the briefing "Stay on station till you get RTB from Overlord. He will do BDA and let you go home if no enemies left" In such case players at least know they did not finish something while they are still in the air but not in debriefing watching "DRAW". 4) Only one "real" glitch \ bug I think. Attack on Maykop if I remember it correctly. You are CAP. Phantoms - SEAD and ground attack, helicopters and infantry - do the work. Without Phantoms ground attacks infantry cannot take airfiled if you are slow to kill Migs - Phantoms jettison Maverick and join the fun with Migs. You can exit here, mission failed. if you want to kill Migs alone (which is possible and I did it once) - then you have to meed them above enemy SAM (it is very difficult for my level). So problem was - Migs and Phantoms come to the spot together. I passed this mission only when triggers worked as intended ( I assume): F-4s came first, destroy SAMs and started ground attack. Migs come later and I + Phantoms who finished with Mavericks kill them. Infantry took the airfield I wrote a long post but just because I loved you campaign and would like to play it again in a year or so. And thank you for helping me with all my questions like "How to pass that madness ??!!!"
  19. Yes. It looks like AI behavior change. It is why I said "If you will decide to prepare BSR-79 2.0" Good camping BTW, I almost finish it. Half of the missions are really hard (for me) but when you pass this mission - you really remember every detail. If you will decide to create campaign "Norwegian sea resolve 1979" for Viggen + Kola map - do not make it so hard as Black Sea Resolve. Or allow people to have 55% success option to pass a mission. Maniacs or perfectionist will still be able to try pass it with 100 score.
  20. Good day All SPOILERS!!!! Leave alone that 2 vs 2 - for me it is a difficult battle. I do not play well. But this is ok. What is not polished and if you will review campaign and will publish BSR79 2.0 you may check Mission 22 triggers. In this mission success depends on bots behavior. Your bots and enemies. Iin the first part of the mission we have Mig-23s, helicopters and F-4s. I have to kill MIgs in order Phantoms destroy SAMs. But I have to meet MIgs above these SAMs. If I wait - Phantoms join air-to-air battle , drop Mavericks and do not do any SEAD. And what is worse - they do not destroy "heavy" enemies. Helicopters can land and attack begins but there is no success without F-4's help. Even if you kill Mig-23s and then survive by a miracle a battle with Mig-21s - still no success. I tried it 10+ times. Only once it worked as suppose to ( I think that it is how it suppose to be played) - Mig-23 come AFTER F-4s start the attack. I also had a situation when I came far more before F-4s and fought with Migs alone (with my bot only) We kill two MIg-23rd but my bot did not survive meeting with SAM I was killed by pair of MIg-21 but at least Phantoms did the ground attack. I passed it finally and ironically - I did not score any hit. MIg-23rd came after F-4. SAM were killed and air-to-air fight was easier. Then I left my bot on scene and flew to Krasnodar to reload and refuel. MIg-21s could not kill my bot and returned to the base. They were chased by F-4 who did rearm as well (or were scrambled as a second part of the mission). My wing man bot ejected because run out of fuel. I was flying above Maykop till I got "RTB" message. Problem - In order to kill 23rd you need F-4 come first or you have to fight above enemy SAM (which is tricky).
  21. SPOILERS !!! SoreIRo, if you will review and update this campaign - Mission 21 is the one of where to check the triggers. FAC marks columns only if you not orbit but fly along the coast. FAC never marks third column I do not know if it necessary to hit for success but if I hit it I get message "column stopped"
  22. Yeah, FAC does not always allow you to hit columns. Looks like you do not have to orbit but just fly from WP2 to WP3. I tried mission several times already. For now it was only once when FAC said me "Go and hit" - when I did not orbit but follow FAC along coast line. All other attempts - FAC flew till Tuapse and then flew away into the sea quietly. So mission has to sub-tasks: 1 - get permission from FAC by some way. 2 - survive your attack runs And it is first mission when my bot says me "Unable" when I tell him to attack. He does not even try as in all previous missions. He understand commands only after FAC marked columns.
  23. One of that missions where you rely on your bots. And your luck. How I passed it - 1. Take only rockets. In Mission Planner you can change weapons. It is not cheat and allowed by creator Or you can just jettison bombs aterr take off. I even removed AIM-9s and took only 70% of fuel to be lighter 2. Wait a bit till F-4s really start to kill SAMs. You will hear it on the radio. I just flew slow from WP to WP. 3. Before your attack run - ask your wing-man "Mission and rejoin". He will draw some attention of Air Defense. 4. Fly really low with pre-flare. You will see missiles and AAA fire intended for you and you will be able to dodge (if you are lucky enough on that attempt).
  24. My apologies for noise, SoreIRo. Mission passed. As far I can see - you have to kill or scare bombers before they drop bombs.
