Im going to have to ask everyone to please stop speculating, right now the official date is middle of 2014 as that is indicated on Belsimtek's website. ;) Hopefully somoene from ED or Belsimtek sees this thread, takes pity on us poor mortals and gives us some info on what is going on behind the scenes and maybe throws us a bone or two as Raven so eloquently put it.

Quick question. How is the latency on that monitor? For example I tried experimenting with my huge plasma TV, but the latency between the control inputs and the on screen effect is simply too large. I cant measure it of course, but as an old Quake player anything over 50ms is simply way too noticable and in my case unplayable.

Not unless ED supports Mantle implementation in their new renderer. Its a lot of work for what amounts to a relatively small percentage of the playerbase. DX11 - Covers everyone Mantle - Currently supports only the RX and 7XXX series of AMD cards.

Might we get an official progress report on the standalone F15C module please? Any little tidbit of information will be welcome. Its been ages since Wags posted anything and since Belsimtek is actually working on the AFM maybe this is the place to ask for one? Pretty please, with sugar on top?! ;)

I like this thread, but some ground rules need to be set. A 90 degrees vertical dive with full afterburners will probably produce the highest speed, before ejection and/or death ;)

Ive got that card (760 GTX 4GB) and Im very happy with its performance, but I run everything on one monitor.

This is a very good thread and I second the motion of extra pixels for far away targets/bogeys.

One quick question. Did you purchase the module through the module manager (in game) or did you just go to ED's site directly??

A small suggestion: Upgrade your graphics card. The game will be too choppy for you to get any real precision out of your Warthog.

When is the F-86 due?? Im eager to fly a jet-plane with an AFM. The F15 is apparently pushed back to the middle of 2014, and the Mig21 is MIA....:(

This sounds like an issue for customer support. If Id wager a guess, for some reason the terribly stupid DRM measuers (that only hurt paying customers in the end) kicked in for some reason. Try contacting ED's customer support by mail.

The old map will work with the new renderer. It wont look any different but it should use the DX11 enhancements... At least this is the official word, but then again we all know Wag's official motto....

I hope this means we can get the Mig21 subforum back soon. :music_whistling:

I was mostly refering to the "when I have the time" part of the statement. Like you said ED has a lot on their plate right now. Somehow I doubt that Wags will find the time to implement something that should have been done years ago any time soon....

Renderer != Art Assets In theory old art assets could be (re)used and integrated into a new renderer. This would result in minimal work for the 3d artists. It would not result in any significant visual improvements but at least ED's playerbase would not be split in two.

We have no idea that the renderer will even work with the map. In theory it should work with the map so we should probably see improvements with regards to FPS, but we wont be getting any of the eyecandy since the art assets would remain the same. Please take note that Im speculating from what 'little' information has been released. Since this is ED we are talking about everything is subject to change.

I just hope no one slept with anyone's wife or anything like that. Personal problems should never get in the way of business...:music_whistling: In any case best of luck to you guys, I hope you manage to release the module. If you do I will probably buy it, after all its the only fighter my country's pathetic airforce fields today. :thumbup:
