  1. The mechanical quality of the MMX300 is absolutely beyond consumer standard. They are very durable, no cheap plastic, which creaks when you put it on. The T-Bar is completely metal, down to the mounting bracket of the earpiece. The only minor downside is maybe, it sits quite tight on your head. But i use it normally for 2-5 hours with no problems at all. good luck in finding something suitable
  2. I use a Beyerdynamic MMX300 (~300€), probably the best Headset available. It is very expensive, but worth every buck. The sound quality exceeded every expectation i had, be prepared to experience subtleties you've never heard before. Before that, i used the Sennheiser PC360 Headset (~160€), which are also very good, but not on par with the MMX300. The advantage of the PC360 is the open design and the wearing comfort, you can wear them for hours and you will barely notice 'em. I'm not sure, but i think i remember that DCS is only Stereo, not 5.1. But either way, with TrackIR, that doesn't matter, the sound will follow your head movement. For the interested, there is a headtracker solution for headphones available, the Beyerdynamic Headzone H1, but this gem is beyond expensive (~900€). Cheers Mazzic PS: for Surround conversion from Dolby 5.1 to Dolby Headphone Surround i use the Astro MixAmp Pro (~120€) on the PS4, very good sound quality. I can locate enemies in COD:Ghosts with pinpoint accuracy, and it does not cost a fortune like the Headzone H1.

  6. the bug was found in the latest version from may 22nd. to get around this, you must not change the frequency to 240 MHz. You must use the F10 radio command without changing the frequency, to trigger the landing clearance with flag 14 = true. if you land then in the yard the general will disembark and drive away in the spawning car
  7. Funny, this week Wags sniped the weekly discussion thread starters :megalol: I very much appreciate the approach with the small bugfixes to establish a stable major version before introducing new features. Keep the fixes rolling. And PLEEEEASE give the FC3 campaigns some attention, Fortress Mozdok and Bear Trap for example are broken as hell and nearly unplayable with the current AI behavior. Mazzic
  8. I think distance from screen is not only interesting in regards of FOV. You always will have a feeling for the distance your display is away from you. IMO the best results in immersion i obtained if the display is roughly at the same distance as your ingame front panel or HUD would be. I upgraded my Sim-Setup from 24" to 27" to 30", but i am thinking now i should have better spent my money on a 40" - 46" POS panel like Samsung 460MX-3. A larger panel will give you just the right FOV at the right distance. I have to admit that this is only valid for in cockpit simulations. For strategy games and FPS i prefer a classic desktop arrangement with a high resolution PC-Monitor. Versus Fighters and Action Adventures i play in the living room on the TV, sitting comfortably on the couch as long as my wife doesn't get pissed of ;-) my 2ct Mazzic
  9. While i was giving 'em some at the doorgunner's position, some bad guy shot the doorgunner and i automatically switched back to the pilots seat. The M60 however kept firing at the same angle, as in the moment the doorgunner was shot. It fired happily away while the gunner already slumped down in his seat till the ammunition was emptied. Maybe you should add some logic, which stops the gun when the respective gunner is dead. cheers Mazzic
  10. The dependancy of the successful Landing at the Peacekeepers HQ on Flag 14 is only working if you get your landing clearance by using the added radio item. If you, like poor me, tune the UHF to 240.0 MHz, Flag 14 never becomes true and the radio item is also gone. nearly two hours "lost" you should add maybe a new flag 17 which is set to true when the landing clearance is given and the orange smoke appears. Flag17 could then be used in the Landing Trigger. BTW, UN-Pilot is awesome, the best Campaign i've played so far in DCS. You should definitely make another, i would pay gladly for such a fine piece of entertainment. regards Mazzic

    AI TASK SET

as stated, all tasks which should appear in this drop down list, must be defined first in another place called triggered actions. triggered actions ca be found as a tab right of the armament options of a group, see picture. What to do there is all described in the mentioned thread above. Mazzic

    AI TASK SET

you must first define the AI Task in triggered actions like an Advanced Waypoint Action have a look here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=104052 cheers Mazzic
  13. Yesterday i noticed, when you are in the Copilots position, the Pilot does not move it's arm with the collective input as the Copilot does. I'm quite sure this worked before. cheers Mazzic
  14. the FB9 left of the charred component tells you its a blown fuse. The fuse is in the 5V line (red wire), so it had a current rating of less than 500mA (Max. USB rating) But I am quite sure it was rated somewhere around 100mA, because that's the current a non Root USB hub must be providing as a minimum current. Be advised, a fuse does not blow itself out of no reason, there is probably a more severe root cause somewhere on your board. The picture tells me also that the copper trace is destroyed around the component, so a simple replacement will not do it. You can try to repair it, but I think any new fuse will blow also. If you want to repair it nevertheless drop me a PM for some advice how to solder it.
  15. Nein, es gibt aber eine Mod die das nachrüstet http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=102188
  16. OK, nice to know it works also with buttons. but I still think the hacked pad solution is worth a try, it's just soldering some wires on the pad's PCB and putting some micro switches on the other end. the micro switches you can attach anywhere you want. you could also make a sort of a stand for the pad itself and place it in front of your throttle like the force adjust buttons of the x65f throttle.
  17. this will probably not do you any good, as far as I remember the tracker software does only accept keys as command inputs. the program joy2key might help there. as for the USB button device, maybe you can hack a cheap gamepad. I've hacked a few myself to build my custom arcade boards for vs fighters on consoles.

  20. there are no carrier statistics for the SU33 in the logbook, but I would very much like such a feature too.
  21. That is by intend and has been so since a very long time. It also has been discussed at this forum before, use the search function. iirc the tail of the SU33 is somewhat shorter than the SU27's to allow carrier ops. Therefore there is less room for CM catridges.
  22. try without msffb2 in 1.2.4. there is a known bug with ffb enabled, which kills your fps.
  23. works only for the server itself so far, if export is set to true, it does not work for the clients.
  24. delete the uh-1 folder in saved games/config/inputs... the sim will then reimport the default files from dcs/mods/aircraft/uh-1/config... I'm not sure about the exact path names, sitting not at the simrig right now, but will find it
  25. its most probably your wingman, they do not start cold anymore since 1.2.4. also units which are set as uncontrolled do start with engines running.
