Too many to choose from. I like the Mig-3 but that's never going to happen. Maybe some late ww2 soviet aircraft that would work in Korea and possibly an early cold war Germany!?

That the problem... the 3rd parties now has your future plan about modules "forged", or wait to appears new 3rd parties centred on WW2 / early cold war stuff.

    Don't forget WW2. How about an IL-2 and Pe-2?

By now, only a 3rd party has working on WW2 Soviet aircrafts, Octopus-G, put below. ED dont talk anything about a "east front module" and only talk about "Pacific / Battle of Britain". Others as Magnitude 3, talked about a "IJN" module, and others has no plans on WW2 (was rumors about a Militech5 "Stuka" but none has confirmed).

  3. More from CH-47F FAQ

Added Block version and CMWS info to the FAQ:

What Variant is the DCS: CH-47F?
Currently, we are doing the CH-47F Block 1.

Will our CH-47F have CMWS (Common Missile Warning System)?
This is currently planned, but as with any defensive system for any aircraft, we need to carefully consider this system and implement it in a way that will not dip too close to a controlled and classified system. As such this will come later on in development.

New feature in the pipeline: we are currently working on a voice recognition system. This means that if you fly with an AI co-pilot, you can give him a command via voice and he will carry it out. Our coder has coding experience in voice recognition since 2004. It is our turn to present you with a unique experience in this regard. In the meantime - our pilots waiting to enter the cockpit

I still think (as I did a year or so ago…)

that the PTO stuff will all drop together

    Map

    Ships

    Player and AI aircraft

    Ground and other assets

Remember M3 has no a map team. The only map incoming has ED Marianas WW2.

    • M3 has building F4U Corsair + WW2 PTO assets pack.
    • ED has building F6F Hellcat + WW2 PTO assets pack + Marianas WW2 map

Why? Because developpers have forgotten completely abut REDFOR planes, utdates of existing once, you push expensive only modules to be the best in fight.

    • ED has making a Mig-29A module and refiting red missiles. Planned other modules in the future.
    • Dekka has making a J-8PP
    • Octopus-G has making a La-7 and planned a So-2 and Su-17
    • Razbam has making a Mig-23MLA
    • Red Star Entretaiment has making a Mig-17F
    • Some 3rd party team has plans to make a Su-22M3

I not sure where are de "forgoting Redforces"...

Bro is spitting straight FACTS but ED is too busy spending money on useless planes flying instead of being in a museum and wasting money on WWII and splitting up one map into 4 separate maps to scam players to care, and I'm not even going to mention the RAZBAM situation.

Afganistan use the tecnology of map expansions builded on Normandy 2 with the owners of Normandy 1 was updated to Normandy 2 but only see low detail zones on the expansions, the purchaser of more a section of a map can fly without problems from one to another section without problems... and no, has not "4 separates maps", has de same map with diferent zones.

    Interested.

But I will wait for M-134 Miniguns and Multicrew (Copilot and Crew Chief) for purchase.

Can we have a Refuelprobe and Big Fuel Tanks as fictional additions to the CH-47F? Not that I want a MH47E SpecOps Variant at all... But I really like to have options. 🤣.

    What about Multicrew?
Pilot multicrew is certainly planned for the early access release, but door or rear-gunner multicrew support is planned for after the early access release.

  8. Red force modules on progress on DCS World.
    - Mig-29A by ED.
    - La-7 by Octopus-G and planned So-2 & Su-17
    -J-8PP by Dekka.
    - Mig-23MLA by RAZBAM.
    - Mig-17F by Red Star Simulations.
    Some rumors about a Su-22M3.

I think ED needs to have a reasonable schedule of when something should go from EA to full release (understanding that things slip and take longer than ED initially intends).  Without derailing the thread I'll just say I am refraining from buying any more EA modules due to how current EA modules are handled, Chinook included.

Setting release dates or deadlines is impossible, especially in a complex development scheme like this simulator. In the past, ED set deadlines, and when he didn't meet them, the anger, attacks, drama, etc. began... from that moment on, Ed said that he didn't set deadlines. Some should learn what happened earlier about "promises."

Can we get a list of weapons/attachments you plan on adding to the module?

For example, can we go full gunship like in this picture?

Also will we get AI for each gunning position like in Huey?

    main-qimg-a178e9010f65a7dbe520712b8a8b0d

That has a AC-47A, no a CH-47F version. That need a complete rework.

Not sure if this been done or there is an active list ?

Is it worth doing a poll of the community for the next plane / helicopter (maybe 2 polls?) we would like to see. I would suggest generating a core list and then create a poll from it ? Maybe ED / 3rd party developer might take it onboard...

    Thoughts ?

My list (in no particular order)

    Planes  -

    C-130

Typhoon (I know there is a community version)

    Typhoon ww2 version

Tornado (think this might be being done?)

    B17

    B52

    Dakota

    Junkers Ju52

    Stuka

    Helicopters -

Sea King (especially westland helicopter versions - more variety ie aew / commando etc)

    Sea Sprite

    Lynx / Wildcat

    Puma

    H145

    Merlin HC101

    CH53

Build a module by request has imposible. Has many factor with a module will be unable to build, as the main problem, the aproval licenses, the available info (open access) and missing features into DCS World (examble multicrew bombers).

    About your list:

    • C-130J/MC-130J, on progress by AirPlane Simulator Company 3rd Party.
    • EFA Thypoon Tranche 1, on progress by True Grit/Heatblur 3rd Party.
    • Tornado IDS GR1, on progress by AviaStorm 3rd party.

Infantry updates, combined arms update, FARP updates, logistics etc etc.

That has outside from CH-47F module, if you like updates about modules or funtionality, move to the propper section.

lights, shadows lol and why not add ambiant occlusion

    image_2024-04-17_194519967.png

    update clouds

    pancakecloud.png

Vulkan engine has on progress, remember ED last engine update was added Multitreat and DLSS.

You show artifacts, If you have a bug, report them on the propper forum section.

    https://forum.dcs.world/forum/253-bugs-and-problems/

I check them, the HAS 3D models (Old versions) dont put propper shadows, reported. The Vaziani HAS has very old, and no updated to the new HAS on other caucasus bases.

Thank you for your reply. As I said, I hope I am completely wrong and that it isn't ages until we see the new logitics system in-game. I've been very excited for the Chinook and expected that it would come in to Early Access with the new logistics system as it really needs it to function as a Chinook, but after seeing that it is literally just going to be the helicopter and none of its gameplay associated with it, I feel pretty deflated about the heli. Hopefully the ED Devs working on it get it all done in a reasonable amount of time and we see the features sooner than later.

On fact, the logistic system has none exclusive about the CH-47F. Has other module on progress, C-130J from Aircraft Simulation Company with the expanded logistic system has a main task, and of course, the previous cargo / Lights helicopters (UH-1H, Mi-8, Sa-342, Mi-24) and other incoming modules (Bo-105, OH-58D, etc).

On CH-47F video has some "clues" about the logistic system, as a HMMVW into the Chinnok, the new infantry, and surely more. We waiting about them.

With the upcoming modules F-104, Mig-23MLA, Mig-17F, the existing types Mig-19P, Mig-21, Tu-95, AJS37 and mods such as SU-15 Flagon (by Marco1985) and P-3C, the Draken would fit extremely well in Cold War scenarios based on the Kola Map. A Forrestal-type carrier with A-4E, F-4, C-2A, S-3B etc. would also be within the realm of possibility. All protagonists Norway, Sweden, Finland, USA and the USSR would be represented with good equipment. That would be a good prospect for all users who love historically based flight simulations.

Add to the list the F-8 Crusader by M3.
