  1. This may or may not be of help. I have open beta. When 2.7 came out I also had nothing but hard crashes much of the time. Just like you, I would just be kicked back to the desktop a lot of the time. I took some advice and updated Windows and my video card and it seems to have completely fixed the issue. It's been weeks now and no more crashes.
  2. Yeah but the problem is that this bug is just one in many many many many many bugs and incomplete items that seem to lag on for years sometimes. I'm not advocating for anyone here or saying that it's wrong or right but there are modules that I purchased.....actually pre purchased over 5 years ago that have long left beta that I have not gotten all of what I paid for because they're still not complete, or to the standard that they were presented to me by ED. So all of us can and do feel this guy's pain at some point even if he's just ranting about one, well known bug. But let us not forget that
  3. LOL....That's how I always land in DCS!!!!
  4. LOL...I remember when the F86 was released. This was a big complaint among everyone who purchased it. But then it turned out that it was accurate to the plane. F-5 also. Same scenario. I think that the Mig15 has such a big ass rudder that it probably required minimal movement for turns. I have not flown that plane in a few years.
  5. I was on the fence about buying the F16. After watching this video........SOLD!
  6. Dell G5 Desktop, NVIDIA(R) GeForce(R) RTX 2060 SUPER(TM) 8GB GDDR6, 10th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-10700F processor(8-Core, 16M Cache, 2.9GHz to 4.8GHz), 128GB M.2 PCIe SSD + 1TB SATA 7200RPM HDD 3.5", 16GB, 1x16GB, DDR4, 2933MHz I am not a serious gamer. I have been with DCS for more than 10 years and have always had just enough hardware power to run the game. So this setup (although not a serious one for many of you) is very much an upgrade from my old i5 2.5Ghz Quad core and my Nvidia 660Ti. I do not use VR, I use Track IR. So my question is: How much better off am I? I was at the p
  7. Hey man! History didn't just stop while you were taking a break or living your "life".......Did it? But seriously, as unfortunate as it is, I do not know any flight sim that saves in mid flight or mission. You are in good company. Lots of times I have to check the clock when I want to fly DCS because of time constraints. Even simple flights can take too much time sometimes. It's kind of the drawback to being an armchair pilot.
  8. You can auto start the aircraft??? Wow........Who knew.......
  9. Sorry Skatezilla........Didn't mean to open that door. This isn't what I meant exactly. The above mentioned Sim isn't really competition for DCS. Nor does it's main developer intend to go into combat simming. I was talking about another monster altogether. I'll just stay out of these types of discussions.
  10. I have yet to fly any simulator where the clouds, atmospheric conditions, and weather in general were not a bone on contention with most of it's users. Or where it was ever very accurate. This subject is and has been a dead horse for decades...........Flight sim developers should have higher priorities. It seems that they are pressured into putting too many resources into something that isn't achievable.
  11. Just to make a slight point and play devil's advocate on this. It may be just possible that it is unavoidable to discuss the competition due to the recent revelations in flight simming and the release of certain software. I'm certainly mot trying to advocate for anything or any company. That being said, I feel that it is inevitable that some of E.D.'s competitors could and probably would very readily expand into the combat sim market. Given the gravity and overwhelming resources of such competitors, I would think that E.D. was indeed paying close attention to how their client base is reacting
  12. Or maybe they could put some of the new projects aside like maps, and advanced planes that will bring even more bugs and complaints and forego putting gasoline in their expensive cars or taking vacation trips for a while and spend their time fixing and finishing the stuff they already have put out and just threw by the wayside. Every coin has two sides. People have a right to not be happy at this point. I cannot blame them. Many of these issues and "upgrades" are years old promises.
  13. Wow...So many of you just waiting to toss your money at ED. Especially since there are so many unfinished modules years after their release. That's crazy to me. My take is a little different. I don't think that anyone is wrong or right here mind you. I really don't. You are perfectly justified in buying it if it brings you pleasure. But I kind of feel like the new A10 is sort of a cop out. It's like, Police Academy 6......A quick money maker that didn't require a lot of effort (relatively speaking) and isn't really all that thrilling. I don't mind the A10 the way it is and don't care if it's
