  1. Gamma does not control brightness (the range between black and white) or contrast (the movement of that range up and down the grayscale). Gamma adjusts the curve of the change.

    Correct.

When customers say DCS is too bright, the customers are being told by Eagle Dynamics staff to turn the Gamma down below 2.2 when we should be using a brightness adjustment.

When people have calibrated their monitors/gpu, and other games/applications are suitable, there is no reason to make global adjustments just because DCS does not have a brightness adjustment opinion. Hence my poll and suggestion.

As well as for VR users, different HMD's have different panel tech so a brightness adjustment within DCS is needed.

    Thank you,

    Monnie

  2. I keep my settings pretty low, I don't mind jaggys so much, I prefer higher frames over anything else.

    Wow, that is pretty low

    No Shadows

    No MSAA

    No Anisotropic Filtering

    Interesting you leave SSLR on

    Do you use fpsVR?

    if so, what are your:

    GPU avg frametimes?

    CPU avg frametimes?

    Thank you,

    Monnie

  5. No, it has been confirmed multiple times by USMC pilots in the community that there is indeed no direct HUD indication on where it is looking, only the designated target diamond.

    Have links for those confirmations?

  6. I am very excited about the Kuznetsov. Truly hope they consider making it a full blown carrier in the future same as the Nimitz class.

My plan is when the Mariana Islands map releases is to have a sever up like "Capture the flag" but the Islands being the objective from a Blue vs Red Naval Ops. Blue CV in the Philippine Sea and the Red CV in the North Pacific Ocean.

  7. If anyone watched the video, did you notice the OB version # - 2.6? I hope there have been some major performance fixes.

    I believe it says 2.6.0.48660

Does the yellow shirt give a hand signal to wipe the controls? If so, when in the sequence?

  8. You should be able to set immortality on any aircraft you fly. It is a game option, not tied to one or another aircraft.

You might have to save the mission with a different name for example "georgian oil war champain Lioxir1.miz" because the original file is read only once you edit the mission.
